2026 I'm planning, along with a couple friends from Australia whom I met on a 15 day trip in Ireland, to travel though out the sights in the movie Highlander. Thank you for this video.
Great video of my homeland. With the amount of historical information you crammed in, it's better than many TV documentaries that I've seen. Two more things: 1. The pair of you were veeeery lucky with the weather. 2. Eddie is a veeeery lucky man... if ya know what I mean!😉😋
At 6:12, In Edinburgh Castle in the Military Prison Room. I was there once, I stood at the top of the stairs for just a few seconds and was overcome with a feeling of terror. I had to gtfo asap and went right outside and sat on a bench for 30 mins to calm down. I don't know what happened in there, but it was bad.
when did you take this trip? it is posted as October, but you mention you didn't know about the August military tattoo so is it July? you skipped the part where you're supposed to "open up the Whisky" (I also dislke the stuff, but I have been told it is a must when in Scotland.)
Hi Diane! We were there in June. I should specify that on the video! :) Gosh, I wish I could like whisky. I do like peanut butter whisky but I'm sure that's just because it's sweet. Real whisky drinkers would probably laugh at me. lol
We politely request that tourists don't rub our statues. Thank you We also wish guidebooks would stop telling people it's good luck. Greyfriars Bobby is running out of nose...😁 Congrats on the correct pronunciation of Falkirk by the way. (Locals actually say faw-kirk but yours was proper😄) The Kelpies were originally meant to be a functional boat lift but ended up being just decorative. Sadly you drove past Linlithgow & it's palace on your way to Falkirk, maybe next time. Culross is worth a visit too..
@@Colin32269 Hope you have a lovely time. If the weather is clear head along the High St and up Preston R.d this will lead you up the hill towards Cockleroy - an extinct volcano with the best views across the Forth Valley and down to Berwick.
Crackling is amazing I wish I could have asked " if you don't want it, pass it here " a very Scottish sentence . Great vid glad you enjoyed yourselves. Oh and not horses, Kelpies. I grew up in huge Victorian houses, stunning a turret is normal but bloody hell cold (what we call Baltic) in the winter, making a fire was part of my child hood ,3 a day . Slanga Var to drinking whisky, Scottish people don't say cheers, get to learn some Gallic.
@@annmcgranaghan2131 yup! My dad grew up playing there he found a sword and a few other things. The other part of the wall is at Tweacher. Also a beautiful place to wonder.
Thank you Eddie for the 35 years of serviceto your country,am glad to see you made it to my homeland with your family.Safe travels ❤
I've been to Scotland many times. Isle of Skye and Portree are one of my favorite places there. The highlands are breathe taking.
They truly are! We loved every minute of it! Beautiful country.
Could you share where you stopped to see the coo. Could not make out the sign in the background.

You both really so cute! Great information on videos.
Aw thanks! 😅

Should check out GLASGOW'S metropolitan area devils pool pit water runs red😮😂😂🎉🎉🎉🎉
English breakfast in Scotland....why?😊
Eek! It was the only thing offered at our Airbnb!
@@thelarosasjumparoundtheworld haha
You were right beside the Antonine wall. Shame you didn’t go see.
They were at the Kelpies. My home town . Antonines' Wall hardly exists as a wall to be seen now. We used to play on it.
We didn't know about it or I bet we would have. Unfortunately there's only so much we can fit in! Thanks for the tip though.

drink irn bru when cold and its a scottish breakfast not an english breakfast 🙃
Not Edinburg. Edinburraa.
Embra, for Glaswegians like me. 🤨
You do not get an English breakfast in Scotland please.
It's the only thing our Airbnb offered us!
@@thelarosasjumparoundtheworld I doubt if anywhere in Scotland would advertise breakfast as English. I certainly have never seen it.
English breakfast in Edinburgh? The Californian running the Airbnb when he says he married a local, was exaggerating or lying.
English breakfast in Scotland? 🤦♀️
My apologies!
I'm offering you foregiveness for your innocent breakfast location faux pas 😛😀 I enjoyed your vid.
Oh my gosh I'm so sorry!
@@thelarosasjumparoundtheworld It's no problem, I'm teasing you.
It's an American thing -England, England, England on TV even when it's UK.
