As a motorcyclist of 49 yrs and owned many different bikes. I always commuted on honda c50/70/90 and 125s. Did 77k on my honda anf125. Weather protection awful, wet everything. Also chain off soaking in paraffin severeal times a year despite chain guard. Then I hired an xmax 250 on holiday and that was it. Came home and bought one. Rode it to Spain and back twice. Used it in Spain to ride in the mountains and nice roads. 80 mph max but I changed the variator weights to reduce the acceleration very slightly but gave a relaxed 70 cruise. I also owned a honda sh300i and was a positive rocket ship. The one point on these bikes I think is major for me at 65 and struggling physically cleaning and adjusting chains and that is the variator belt needs changing at 12k miles. And if you have an electric socket gun it is easily changed without special tools. The one negative for them is a rear puncture/tyre change as taking the rear wheel out is major surgery. Not ridden this but have ridden 650 and I think the middleweights are the best. The sh300 which looks like a honda 90 was a rocket ship away from lights. DIY on them is very easy too. Seat bucket out access to everything. The other major plus is weather protection. I used to ride my xmax250 in all weathers with most dry and importantly dry feet. Because they are automatic ie slipping the clutch and belt via variator they are not fantastic on fuel. My x max was 65-70 mpg led than my v strom650. But I can honestly say they are my go to transport and thoroughly addictive when twisting and going as they do go. There is a vlog on u tube where A tmax500 was chasing a honda blackbird in some mountains and the blackbird could not lose it. Obviously due to the bends etc but until you have ridden one you will ever know. This review reflects my own experience of them. Sadly they are expensive but used good buys can be had
Love my nss300. Does everything. Plenty quick enough, even with wifey on the back. Loads of storage. No messy chain or clanking through gears, just wrap back and go. Keeps up with all legal speeds sooooo easily and hey, I want to keep my licence, so not fussed about 100mph+ speeds. Comfortably sits, two up at 75mph (indicated) and returns 80+mpg. What more does a middle aged man want from a bike? Oh, lockdown to end, so I can pull her out the garage!
These scooters seem to be very popular with older riders, but I've just ordered a Forza 350 as my first ever bike. I'm in my twenties and the Forza appeals to me so much. Did my CBT on a geared bike and obviously I did pass it, but I just couldn't be bothered with the gears and most bikes don't have half as much storage. Scooters all the way for me
Great review. My Dad's 83 year old hips struggle with motorcycles now but he doesn't want to stop riding. One burgman 400 later and he's happily riding out with me and my beemer. Scooters are great whatever your reason for riding.
Loved the review, thanks. Appreciate the honest opinion from a motorbike rider, even though it's a scooter. I recently hired one for a test drive in Thailand, 4 days and 1,200kms, loved every second. Left cars behind on the motorway cruising easily at 130km/h. Stored a back pack bursting at the seems and a rain jacket and bits under the seat, so convenient, super comfy and smooth as silk. It kept me completely dry in a rain burst, until I stopped to put the jacket on. The huge glove box is very useful. Got more interest in it from people than when I tested the X-ADV, and the price is far more palatable at 40% of the price of the X-ADV. As much as I loved the ride and the looks of X-ADV, the Forza is far more practical and manageable on all types of journey, you don't have the engine heat between your legs as the engine is on the swing arm, which you can do without in a hot climate. The instrument panel is great, especially the range gauge, very useful. The buttons on the remote control are engine immobiliser and alarm.

Great review - I had the Silverwing a few years ago but ended up going back to a bike - been riding mainly beemers for 20 yrs and am currently on an old 1100R but thinking about one of these to replace it - just make so much sense - plenty enough power, oodles of storage space and very practical - who can argue with 80mpg too. Not bothered what other folk think either, I'd quite happily tour on one of these. Steve

Great scooter, I run mine every day through London. Bought it new and had ridden it for over one year and have 8500 miles on it. I have had to fit a new rear tyre, new brake pads front and rear. Just recently new clutch shoes! It really takes its toll stop start traffic! 68 mpg constantly.

Love my 2016 Forza 300. Fitted Honda tall screen and backed off rear suspension preload 2 notches, now can't fault it. Thinking of the new Forza 350 but worry that it has less leg room than the old model.
CVT is the way to go for smaller capacity engines either on bikes or in cars infinite gearing gives the maximum torque available when the power is limited. They just pull, the gear changing is constant because it never disengages and as for comfort I cant think of any bike except maybe the Gold wing that out shines these maxis and I would expect it to at that silly price For me the maxis are one of the most relaxed two wheeled tourers around. You sit you twist you enjoy the ride and the views But they are not macho machines or Pe.... extensions I'm old so did all that in the 60's
2000 miles on the Forza 300 from new, first bike for 50 years, that was a Lambretta 175, Full agreement with the tester, had to get used to sitting up right relaxed rather than crouched and cramped. Mirrors need to be turned inwards to show a view behind, with some of you showing, but its fine . Engine and transmission gives fast get away and top speed around 87mph but 80 is more comforting, so no bother overtaking at motorway speeds. Excellent design and presentation. Finally decided that this was the right choice. Plus over 80 miles to the gallon.
Got one new in January I commute approximately 200-250 a week. Ride over the Sydney Harbour Bridge every day and the screen is really effective from wind. Very economical. Lovely to ride. Only criticism is horn button can be hard to find when you need it quickly. Otherwise loads of power and corners beautifully. 9 out of 10
Bought one also love it handles so well and its fast I have a Honda 1100 shadow saber 2003 thinking of trading it in on another scooter love the scooter so much!
Had a silverwing a few years ago and loved it,just sold my Honda CB1100 as it was too easy to ride very quickly. Will be getting a Forza 300 in September, hopefully my licence will stay clean.
I hope you're right .... I've just ordered a new Forza 350 today! ... I'm trading in a Honda SH300i, so I know what this class of bike (and engine) are like. I fancied a change and I like the look of the Forza.
Two button remote control. Top button unlocks the bike wakes up and relocked after it locks itself. Bottom Button press hold you’ll get a red light the will make Key inoperative. Handy if your bike is close by your having a break away from the bike. Press and hold again light will turn to green.
How funny, I own this model Forza and also own a Monkey bike. It’s a strange combo and I never thought I would see a video involving both. The Forza will leave the Monkey well behind. You can truly do everything on it like you said. Ride through the city on to the highway to get to the twisties. Then on the way home you can pick a couple bags of groceries. All while having a great time. The monkey on the other hand is so fun to ride. I think it’s the most beautiful bike ever made! Both are ridiculously good on gas.
Hey chaps! Toby, you obviously didn't have a go on the Burgman 400 when Mark tested it, the Suzuki 400 is the bench-mark, everything else is just copying it, except for the suspension, no one has duplicated the monoshock underslung system of the Burg 400, it handles twisties almost like a sports bike, and the 2003 - 2006 models (mine) have 17 adjustments for the rear suspension ! My beaten up 2006 will accelerate from 75 mph up to 95 mph in a flash and it gives me 70 - 75 mpg. My only observation would be of the inability to feather the clutch when on deep sand or mud, it is an innate problem with a centrifugal clutch of course, but given the Burg 400's 34 bhp, it tends to spin the back wheel on take off. Great vid, thanks lads ! Chris in Brazil.
Mate fantastic review And if you liked this You gotta try the new yamaha tmax tech max 560. Absolutely awesome. I have 1 but unfortunately due to work to picking up had to sell and go back to 1 of these! Did have the 350 forza . But now getting the 300 again. And its still a good bike and super light
The big misconception that most other bikers take for granted is the word "Scooter." and they associate a scooter with a moped. If the manufacturer's classified the high end luxury scooters as a step through motorcycle these bikes wouldn't be so underestimated.
Thanks buddy, great video and very informative - I had the old version of the Forza 300 and the only reason I haven’t changed to the upgraded version is that the seat height is a bit too high for me. However, I might try it again based on your video. Thanks again, very informative and amusing video 🙂
Bought a 2019 Forza 300 which I traded for a Honda CMX 500 because I fancied something with gears but the seat was too low and caused hip problems (being a little bit older) traded that for a Royal Enfield bullet 500 which was super comfy with lovely retro styling but it had some build quality issues I wasn't happy with so I've gone full circle and ordered myself a 2020 Forza 300 cant wait to be honest.
5' 11" the riding position is very good, I'm tucked up against the back rest with a relaxed hold on the bars, feet are comfortable with plenty of knee room as well. There was another reviewer who was 6' 2" who said he felt a bit cramped because he had very long thighs but didn't think it would be a problem.
took the plunge and bought a secondhand one 1600 miles saved £600 over new for getting around northamptonshire , milton keynes and leicester to and from work too..... taking delivery soon P/X my fz1 fazer.
Thinking of getting a 300 scooter myself. Like you i have had a fz1 amongst others but just no fun around town or day to day riding. Been in a car last 2.5yrs but missing being on two wheels. Hows you're 2020 forza getting on

@@magpiemale I've been looking at either a forza or a xmax 300 . Read that you don't get much more for your money on the xmax 400. 85mph is plenty enough for me as i drive for a living and i never really go much more than 75-80 on motorway . This will be my only mode of transport but i've had smaller scooters and enjoyed them as my only mode of transport even in winter. Did the north coats 500 5 years back and what i've seen of the reviews on youtube i'd be happy to do it again on a 300 scooter.

Thanks keep up the good work .
Bought one, its my first large scooter. I like it but I think that I would like to upgrade to a 750 ADV scooter. I find the 300 tiring for long trips and not that great with crosswinds especially with the little plastic case in the back.
Hi liked what you said about this bike . I would really like to hear about the 2021 Honda Forza 125 & the 350 to hear what you think about it maybe mark can ride the other bike . did the mirrors get any wider and also the windshield This year thay made a bit taller . would love to hear what you think. im looking most likely at the 125 it would fun to hear how you liked the 300 or the 350 . Thank you
I've just bought one as a run around to keep the mileage down on my KTM. It's keeps up with traffic, is economical and has more oomph than my PCX125 that I've got (for my Motorhome). It has some good features with abs, traction control (a first in the class), elec screen and the keyless system is good. It's brilliant 😁🏁
I didn't write that up well, as I meant the Honda was the first in class to have it but then I guess you knew that 🤔 I'm in the trade and I recall reading it some where. If it wasn't a first in class, it was a first in this class for Honda.
Great and very useful review. There is a direct correlation between growing excess nasal hair and finding such Maxi Scoots attractive. Hear me out here! All those disagreeable things about growing older - Prostatitis, Myopia various impairments bring with them an appreciation of comfort. Speed is less of a draw, but we still want acceleration. We also start to understand the difference between power and torque. That strong pick-up is a product of a driveline set up to maximise torque. Cheers
I had the honda xadv in December 2017 when it first arrived UK. And ive had the honda forza 300 old style! And the new 2018 model is like you say. Is so light!!! My dislike with the new forza Is the leg room! You can't get your legs right up! Also I'm not sure j costa do a varior for the newer version With the old style forza The dashboard I like more! As has different colours with the blue and orange. The 2018 forza is all digital And a same colour Does say how many miles you have left in the tank! What was one of the reasons why I trading in my 2015 forza But after riding the 2018 I like the old style more for comfort I like the new forza for light weight wow I can lift this thing like a mountain bike!!! Well saying that I do lift hundreds of kilos a week due to my job.
I like your videos, you to are great. Several years ago I did a 2000 kilometer trip around France on a MZ 125 I had a great time, but like a lot of people I took too much stuff with me, so if I can your on a 125 a 300cc scooter like the excellent Honda will do it with ease.
So, would be this scooter ideal for someone who would want to switch from car to scooter for daily commuting? I have never owned bike in my life and I am looking for something, which could be driven also on highways.
@@pinkiepie1656 Now at December 2021 already available PCX160 with 4 valves in its Cylinder head better in power and appearance in Indonesia south east asia.

My first bike was a piaggio zip 50 , but it could do 50mph easy ,due to upgrades. Loved that bike. Then had a beeline tapo. Worst buy ever !! Fork seals gave in after 10 mnths ,mudguard on front was like made of really brittle plastic and broke !! Dont buy em. At moment I've a 2015 honda pcx 125i , she's a lovely bike.Been around uk on her ,though want more power but nothing to be a nuisance on the roads with. And finally I'm going to do my A1 licence when I can. I like the Honda forza 300 , and this will be my next upgrade !!
You really need a tmax to test its handling is great, i currently have the older 300 forza and its a crackin machine but only negative is room to stretch for my 6ft frame, but i used to have a modified tmax years ago and never found the same experience and fun on any bike since out of the 20 bikes i have owned, mine was 500cc but had a 530 and now the 560cc and should be epic, please try n get a go, or alternatively a kymco 550.
New Forza is a lot better than the older model, less weight, handles better, better seating position, larger tyres, come with better tyres OEM, traction control - all round a better bike
Thanks for that review, please can you try the BMW C400gt... I've owned this Honda but sold due to lack of feet forward riding position and awful rear suspension where as burgman 400 was better but the Honda has absolutely the sweetest engine.
It would be useful to know your height. I bought a 650 Burgman but failed to get on with it. Much of that was due to the lack of leg room for my 6'2" frame.
I had the Forza 300 for a few months. Unfortunately you cannot ride a tight corner without sliding off. I wrote mine off and got busted up pretty bad. It was a tight right hand bend in dry condition and a very sound tarmac surface. One second I was traversing the corner the next second it just slid under me. I suspect if was the pan/underside of the scooter that scraped the road lifting the wheel off the ground. I loved the bike to bits but its not a motorbike and will never handle like one on corners
Never ridden a scooter in my 45 years motorcycling. Had go of a Forza 300... revelation.. bought one !

Press and hold again light will turn to green.
thanks for the tip :)
Great review I like it ..may try it out..😊
I am getting a brand new Honda Forza tomorrow 😃
Christopher Sellars your bike sounds awesome. Ride safe.
depends on local. Service is available all over on Honda.
Mate fantastic review
And if you liked this
You gotta try the new yamaha tmax tech max 560.
Hi buddy whats the old Forza like?
Great review guys love your work :)
@@rob-fb5xs try the Yamaha xmax300. I tried the Forsa, the xmax just seemed to have a fraction more room.
Something I am considering for my commute to work, looking forward to test riding one, just a bit worried I would miss my motorcycle 👍
Another good review guys
took the plunge and bought a secondhand one 1600 miles saved £600 over new for getting around northamptonshire , milton keynes and leicester to and from work too..... taking delivery soon P/X my fz1 fazer.
In the end I bought a new fresh forza as the APR was better thus cheaper running good so far and in the colour I wanted...
Thinking of getting a 300 scooter myself. Like you i have had a fz1 amongst others but just no fun around town or day to day riding. Been in a car last 2.5yrs but missing being on two wheels. Hows you're 2020 forza getting on
@@YorkshireTripper. yeah its been good obviously i didn't get it for thrills but just for getting about in an 80mile radius of my house.... but it will go further great Yarmouth for 2.30 hrs motorway speeds. Top speed is 85 on gps but still doing 70- 72 mpg great Yarmouth n back £20.. seat storage is great if pack lose... with a rucksack.I put a top box on mine the yamaha xmax 400 is faster but i hate handlebar mirrors the forza fold in plus screen is power adjustable
@@YorkshireTripper. I prefer the forza over the yamaha it looks better more plush honda are bringing out a 350 forza suppose to be bit stronger in midrange have a test ride next year.If your going on a big run o like the fact you can pack quite a bit under the seat.As for your choice best have a test ride hope it works out well i love mine.... bit wallowing in the winds but so was the fz1 you'll like the 200mile out of the forza maybe 220 to a tank.Dunno about the yamaha mcn do reviews.
I live in Houston Texas. This could zip me across town no problem.
This is an awesome machine
If you love 2 wheels you must try this
Super sweet
Were is the Helite strap anchored at the scooter? Can’t see it. Need to find a good spot for myself
we didn't have it attached at the time of review... its tricky on the Forza, but on the seat hinge could be a good place
@@RiderCamTV Yes, i placed it on the seat as you describe. Think it will work. Maybe a longer deployment if i fall to the right
I'm at that age too, I would ride a scooter. Same wind therapy.
The one company that is still looking backward and missing out on the biggest world wide market is Harley Davidson now made in Thailand. I have been ridding my KYMCO Like i 200 a 2012 after 56 years of big heavy bikes. Will ride it for a long time, but I am temped to move up to one of these.
Exactly
Hey I have a Honda forza 125 I absolutely love it to bits it the best bike and good looking bike I have ever had it save it fast and it got some power and the fuel consumption it amazing and I can go on it for a long time with out thinking that I need to fill up love it to bits what do you think I should get next after my Honda forza 125 I was thinking of staying with Honda forza but don’t know what cc engine to get next can you help me thanks Dan
Try a Bergman. Ride safe.
Hi i like your review on the Forza and i tried one ti was nice But lets say a new begener to a bike or someone that has not road a bike in a long time say 35 years i felt unstedy Someone told me about the Yamaha Tricity 300 have you tryed one i would like to hear what you think about it . i like what said about the Forza but it should have been red in thailand you get it in Red a 300 . Thanks keep up the good work .
Bought one, its my first large scooter. I like it but I think that I would like to upgrade to a 750 ADV scooter. I find the 300 tiring for long trips and not that great with crosswinds especially with the little plastic case in the back.
Great review, I now want to buy a scoot 👊
bought an xmax pick it up tomorrow!
Thank you
I bought an Nss 300 cvt in February this year.
But never riden it as problems with rear shocks.
Your cries on the wind shield have been answered.
Say hello to the Forza 350!
The 350 fixed pretty much everything wrong with the 300 models.
My first Impression riding a scooter was that the seating position is like sitting on the toilet!
It really is!
But that's fun! :)
I'm thinking getting one but Yamaha xmax is also crazy.
Peter O'Connell The Vespa 300 has traction control.
@@ArmadilloGodzilla And the XMax 300 has it. I believe it was the first in the class to have it.
Peter O'Connell So not really first in class as you wrote. 😀
I didn't write that up well, as I meant the Honda was the first in class to have it but then I guess you knew that 🤔 I'm in the trade and I recall reading it some where. If it wasn't a first in class, it was a first in this class for Honda.
I think i will change my PCX125 to that Forza 300. Could you recommend that?
Is forza? Força? Fort-sah? Great bike!
Can you do a review on the new 350 forza 👍
will try to! :)
Always a great review love the enthusiasm and I would love to see a monkey bike /scooter tour
Cheers
Great review!!
Thanks for the great video!
Nice review mate. Would've like to see how it goes with a pillion passenger though.
Goes great with my wife on the back.
Cheers mate
👍
Has it got a 12 volt socket/phone charger ?
Yes inside the glove box
Nice looks like it’s sits nicely on 80 mph all day……..not bad for a 300.
I had the honda xadv in December 2017 when it first arrived UK.
And ive had the honda forza 300 old style! And the new 2018 model is like you say. Is so light!!!
My dislike with the new forza
Is the leg room! You can't get your legs right up!
Also I'm not sure j costa do a varior for the newer version
With the old style forza
The dashboard I like more!
As has different colours with the blue and orange.
The 2018 forza is all digital
And a same colour
Does say how many miles you have left in the tank!
What was one of the reasons why I trading in my 2015 forza
But after riding the 2018
I like the old style more for comfort
I like the new forza for light weight wow I can lift this thing like a mountain bike!!!
Do you think I will be disappointed if I change from a burgman 650 to this forza 300? I don't ride more than 40km per day.
Take one out for a ride first. Ride safe
So, would be this scooter ideal for someone who would want to switch from car to scooter for daily commuting? I have never owned bike in my life and I am looking for something, which could be driven also on highways.
Yes. But I would personally go with the Honda PCX 150. I bought both.
@@pinkiepie1656 Now at December 2021 already available PCX160 with 4 valves in its Cylinder head better in power and appearance in Indonesia south east asia.
How do you think it compares to the Kymco xciting 400i both on features and price
📝
(Hoping you ride a new Zontes 350E (or even newer 368E)?! You have a dealer in the UK! Those scooters have virtually EVERYTHING!!!! Check ‘em out! Best / R👍🏻
"300" is a model number, not the cc displacement of the motor. It's important you make the differentiation. It's 279cc's.
But it’s a reference to the displacement. Just an optimistic one.
Yeh. I got that in the specs because I read!
@@buddy77587 congratulations
Good review.
My first bike was a piaggio zip 50 , but it could do 50mph easy ,due to upgrades. Loved that bike. Then had a beeline tapo. Worst buy ever !! Fork seals gave in after 10 mnths
,mudguard on front was like made of really brittle plastic and broke !!
Have you ridden the Forza 750 yet? 🤔
I want one can you go direct access on one of these ???
markjones338 not sure.
You can but you'll only ever be able to ride autos.
That would suit me fine
Thanks for that review, please can you try the BMW C400gt... I've owned this Honda but sold due to lack of feet forward riding position and awful rear suspension where as burgman 400 was better but the Honda has absolutely the sweetest engine.
far less leg room on the c400GT. thumbs down. The 650GT is perfect but $$
400GT is terrible on leg room !
Good marketing video.
It would be useful to know your height. I bought a 650 Burgman but failed to get on with it. Much of that was due to the lack of leg room for my 6'2" frame.
I'm sure Toby said he is around 5'10" or so.
@@justmejohn773 I admit, I did fast forward in a few places.
steve taylor Is there a good scooter for taller riders?
R Zu define taller
@@ArmadilloGodzilla 6'0" and above

Dear RiderCamTV can you mount a GPS bracket?
S P Not sure but there are always people who have found a way.
1 cylinder engine?
Yes, it's a single
why dont they sell this in America
I have a 2014 Forza 300 bought in America.
there is no way to attach a phone mount.
👍
A gud honda forza Scooters of 2020,Ncc300 now very ismuct ative,! Esculsive,!
perfect shot, against the sun is recording failable
How would you park on a hill without a handbrake?
You can park with the center stand and the steer facing the uphill
Your height is 5 foot 10 = 1 meter and 55 centimeters, can’t be right??? Info about your height is important - can you confirm your height?
you are right, 5'10 mate
5’10” = 175 cm
so whats new for 2020 ?
Bigger engine
any more leg room from the 2019 ? Still to short !
The new robocop
I had the Forza 300 for a few months. Unfortunately you cannot ride a tight corner without sliding off. I wrote mine off and got busted up pretty bad. It was a tight right hand bend in dry condition and a very sound tarmac surface. One second I was traversing the corner the next second it just slid under me. I suspect if was the pan/underside of the scooter that scraped the road lifting the wheel off the ground. I loved the bike to bits but its not a motorbike and will never handle like one on corners
Ahhhhhhh
Didn't you slow down? Evil Knievel
I 😔🤔 think this is the bike for myself.
My height, etc. Sounds fast!:)
@Redrum lol. My stache would fit AND another good looking guy. 😌
review missing the features. additions and changes form 2019.
