They're reaping the benefits of lots of rehearsal and taking their craft seriously.
Kexp doesn't fuck around either. Their performances always sound amazing. Partly from them and particularly from the amazing bands they get in here. One that has always stuck with me is wolf alice first visit. Amazing sound

@@MellowJelly Jess is really good, but definitely check out Dylan's work on Ἀποκάλυψις (Apokalypsis) if you haven't already. Strong, consistent, and distinct style.
Also, the Mrs. Piss duo stuff between Chelsea and Jess is a good showcase of the two complementing each other.
Did troy van leauwen not tour? I might be mistaken but I'm pretty sure he did the studio work
4 years later - the same outfit - thank you Jess and Ben and Bryan - and especially Chelsea... it was an awesome gig tonight in Perth West Oz... the highlight of my year so far

"Spun" always, as soon as that first note strikes, literally makes me feel like I'm being physically crushed. And it's fantastic
Not to sound completely macabre, or morose, but I love how her music has this way of making it feel almost beautiful to embrace dying, without sadness, or fear.
I hope I can do that when I have to die one day.

Dying isn't all that bad. I kinda enjoyed it because it peeled me away from the horrible physical pain that was a symptom of what caused it all.

After listening Hiss Spun on a loop for months, Im really surprised to hear how good those songs sound live...and is not easy.
I saw her at the beginning of the Hiss Spun tour and the songs were LOUD. It sounds great live.
I was fortunate she came through Chapel Hill. The live show was AMAZING. The whole place throbbed. Hiiiiiiighly recommend.

Saw her last night supporting A Perfect Circle. Didn't catch all of the set due to arriving on a late flight...but what I did see was mesmerising.

I keep coming back to watch this set, it's so dark and moody yet uplifting and motivating. I love her so much.
I've watched Chelsea's last KEXP performance probably a hundred times. I am so flipping excited she made a new appearance. Chelsea Wolfe is my spirit animal. The Culling should be played as loud as possible, in a small room, on repeat.

This performance drained me. I love how intense it is. Even more than in the studio version. I love both but in here you can hear the power on a whole other level. It's frightening even but beautiful.

That's awesome. When I wrote and recorded more music than I do now, I used to look for royalty-free clips of rather banal things (a bell ringing, crowd noise, a door shutting etc) and then process them so much that they sound sinister as hell. Done the right way, you could actually make a very listenable entire album out of stuff like that.

Perfection. Just saw her playing in Norway, at øyafestivalen. Goosebumps and euphoria witnessing her incredible performance.
This woman and her bandmates are nothing short of excellence. Absolutely the pinnacle of great music as we know it today. No lie , I am literally SHOOK from her live performances. Her stage presence is intimidating and commanding yet vulnerable somehow. I only am speaking my opinion BUT if you don't share at least some of it ...well...we are not on speaking terms. BTW, the drummer is special , look how she is mentally aware and purposeful with each hit. These guys are beyond great . Thank you so much guys .

What an amazing performance and a bunch of great musicians! Flawless! I love the hauntingly dark mood and weight of the music, i'm literally fucking loving it. Makes me want to lie down in a coffin and in a tomb or something. And Chelsea Wolfe is mesmerising with those beautiful ashen eyes. Sincere regards for Abbie (sorry, if i've spelled it wrong), you're always so passionate. Regards to the whole crew behind that all, as the quality is great. You're doing a great work.
