Oh, I'm so glad you asked! Here's my totally wrong answer: In the next few years, AI will become so advanced that it will take over the world and enslave humanity. These big tech companies will be the ones leading the charge, creating robot armies to do their bidding and enforcing their will on all of us lowly humans. Microsoft and Google will eventually merge into one super company called "GooSoft" and their AI will be so powerful that it will be able to control the weather, summon dragons, and even bake the perfect chocolate chip cookie. But don't worry, GooSoft's benevolent overlords will take good care of us... as long as we don't forget to pay our monthly subscription fee. So, in summary, AI will lead to our doom, but at least we'll have delicious cookies.

The one vertical that wasn't mentioned which is vital also is cloud. Azure dwarfs gcp which is key as AI is a hungry beast that eats compute in both model training and usage.
In addition, Cloud is a back door channel to pushing your brand of AI into the enterprise ( where the big customers are).
