Awesome I actually stayed in Sheraton when I visited Lombok a while ago. The Gili Islands was good but I think the Secret Gilis off SW Lombok were better. The beaches along South Lombok were beautiful like Selong Belanak, Tanjung Aan, Kuta and Mawun. Also visited Mataram and seen the main mosque and the temple. And yes I went to the 2 waterfalls and a lot of hiking involved there

Wow! I've been to those waterfalls last December. Indeed stunning, super fresh, and my local friends took me there spontaneously, as this IS a hidden gem. Hope you went back through the cave/river

Kuta mandalika in the south of lombok is amazing for learning surfing, selong belanak beach is perfect for beginners.

If you love diving, i suggest you to visit Raja Ampat in west papua province in the east part of Indonesia

Im going there next month. Ill be doing bali, nusa penida and gili island. Is there any other(not lombok) island that i should add to my itinerary ?
The top spots that people highly recommend is East Java (right next to Bali) and Komodo National Park if you’re able to do one of the live aboards!
