It’s important to acknowledge Indonesia is a Muslim majority country, I understand you don’t want to be woken up early but the culture and religious practice should be respected. “Well away from them” is a bit insensitive… 😅

    • @RyanLeeBanks
      @RyanLeeBanks  Год назад +4

Hey Yasmin! I see your point, maybe “well away from them” seems a bit insensitive to you but I don’t think it disrespects the religion. Although, yes, Indonesia is a majority Muslim country, most tourists are not, and would likely want to stay “well away from the mosques”. It’s nothing about disrespect to the religious practice, but just that tourists wouldn’t want to be woken up at 4am every morning if they can help it, when I book accommodation in the Gili’s it’s 100% something I factor into my location decision, so it’s definitely worth mentioning 😁

One thing I wanted to say. IF YOU MUST TAKE THE CARRIAGE, HIRE 2 SEPARATE ONES. This will lessen the horse's load because you are spreading it between two carriages. A cidomo ride costs only $7.00. I was in Gili T last month and I so wish that thought had crossed my mind. I would have volunteered to pay for people's rides so they not all cram up in the same cart and add to a horse's already difficult life on the island. Be fair, and be brave, everyone.

How many usd dollars will be required for couples to stay there for 15 days? Only for food and travel expenses

    • @RyanLeeBanks

Hey! It literally depends on your travel style, what kind of place to you to stay in and what kind of food you want to eat. If you stay in a hostel and eat local food it can be as cheap as $30/day, or you can stay in a villa and eat western food and pay $100/night

Hey! Yeah for sure if you just want to see it and don’t plan on relaxing too much! I’ve been there from Friday to Sunday many times! 😁 You can spend morning on day 1 on a snorkel tour, then explore Gili T in the afternoon have some drinks in the evening, then morning day 2 can be spent exploring Gili Air and Meno, then you have the afternoon to you what you want!

Hi I m travelling in June with my family (wife and 9 yr old kid)👨‍👩‍👧
Can u help me choose b/w Nusa islands or Gilli Islands? 🤷‍♂️
I am planning a 2 day stay on either of those, which one will u recommend
I am going for around 10 day bali trip, not sure if its possible to cover both places

Hi! It depends what you’re looking for in a trip! The Nusa’s are closer so will take up less time. Lembongan has some island life vibes and Penida has awesome cliffs and beaches.
The Gili islands is a different sort of vibe with amazing coral reefs and a relaxing scene.
      It’s up to you!

Sure that idea sounds great in theory, and they will transfer to the next boat, but the next boat is the next day so you also need to pay for extra accommodation and food while you’re not stuck on the island

Hello. I've lived in Gili Trawangan since 2016. I own Deep House Bungalows.
Your information about our horses is TOTALLY INCORRECT.
We have a foundation that takes care of our horses controlling their diets, work hours and health. They are checked monthly by a veterinarian.
Take a close look at our horses compared to Lombok horses and you will see a huge difference.
You should do better research before you make such negative statements about the Gili islands.

You really need to 'do your research on how the horse and cart drivers treat their horses. You are absolutely 100% INCORRECT. and its uninformed misguided comments like yours that give these guys a bad name. You claim to have done your research....apparently and clearly you haven''t.

I was on the island as I watch a horse faint from exhaustion because it hadn’t had enough to drink and had been working too hard. Even if that happens once it’s one too many times and I saw it with my own eyes. My research in this comes first hand and from what I’ve seen the horses need to be treated better 100%

@@RyanLeeBanks I go-to Gili trawangan at least 3 x a week. The information portrayed in this guys video is wrong and incorrect. How.do you know the horses collapsed due.to exhaustion or not enough to drink? Are you a vet? Did you follow those horses around all day. You went to gili t for 10minutes and all.of a sudden you're an expert
