Here's an idea for a fun track: Skee Ball. Steps: 1) Make skee ball alley out of ice 2) Use checkpoints for the cups in such a way that the smaller high-score routes go through several of them, and the larger small-score routes only go through one or two checkpoints. 3) Make the "cups" loop back around to the start so that the players who hit the lower scores initially can come back and get the last checkpoints. 4) If done properly, you should have to run the track a minimum of two or three times at which point the finish is a fork off of the return track. If you do do this, I would appreciate a mention in the video. Good luck!
So, for a faster clockwise route. If Kan started with his 7th checkpoint into his 8th, going all the way round finishing on his 6th. That should be faster than what he was doing because the 6th checkpoint is closest to the middle/end.
Yeah, watching Kan's perspective was a bit annoying on this one, because Kan tends to be pretty stubborn when it comes to the way he drives tracks. He likes to do the same thing over and over again, expecting things to change. He doesn't really think about the route he takes.
So the theme was "Checkpoint". Watching Kosmo i thought "What making a track with so much checkpoints that people can't easy notice neither listening, which ones are real, indispensible, and which parts of the track consent a cheese!" But I was probably imagining me suggesting this to Dapper! ;) Do you hear me?
If you want to force a correct way you could lower the acceleration of the omnibooster and its max speed and add small regular boosters inside the checkpoints with more max speed. That way you add more complexity without adding more checkpoints.
imagine if you could make objects that move based on placed triggers, and objects can have multiple triggers and each trigger move it to different locations adn each time a trigger is triggered, they all randomize which trigger moves the object to what location.

So unless I'm mistaken, you can just jump off the side, turn and look back and take a screenshot. Everything that doesn't have text over it is a checkpoint. As soon as people figured out they could leave the map, it was done.
What's evil is if you have two colors. Maybe 15 of each, but there are only 8 real checkpoints, 6 of which are of one color, while 2 are of the other. The colors are very similar, but not the same.
I think hitting the left checkpoint straight away would have lessened the total distance. Also with that booster the gradual turns were just making the trip longer
I got an idea for a track from this video (can't build it though since I don't have the game): How about a fullspeed track with scaled up omni booster where you put real and fake checkpoints next to one another? (kinda like your thumbnail) You can also have two fakes or two real cps next to each other to mess with people a bit. edit: can you also randomly mix 1st and 3rd person view?

Then put a victory thing far down that is at very least 1/2 your best validation time (include short cuts that are kinda tricky to throw people off thinking it’s a skilled short cut video) and make sure it’s hidden so when the time left is like 10 seconds before the time it takes to win with the ultra shortcut go do it and you MUST be able to get 1st
Hear me out... Im guessing it is going to come out that guys have made a program to view the track and show on screen the best calculated route.. and thats how they get the fast times and figure out the best lines in a track like this in 4 minutes.
why don't you start with the one on the left that is closest and snake around to the right. It seems like that would be fastest. If you were to draw a loop around all checkpoints then you find the closest line to the start and finish, then that should be the point you start your run.
This game needs an anti-cheat. People can edit tracks to validate them or to scale boosters that work on multiplayer and honestly those are fine. But this means that 3rd party software can modify game files that are loaded onto multiplayer and it's hard to believe that up to this day no one has ever made a softare that allow them to cheat, like always unlock photomode or to incrise theirs car speed by 5km/h or something like that
As far as I know you can modify the track before uploading it but when on the server you can only read the files, which is how some people know where invisible blocks and things are. They probably could have used the same tactic here but it honestly would take the same amount of time to manually dissect the track. Until someone make a tool that can make the txt file into a map via third party software. This does raise the concern of people copying each other's tracks and claiming them as their own.
