I'd say the checkpoint should give the zeepkist a glider, which gives pitch control, but still stays with the theme of gravity powered vehicles; then, the omniboosters can be used to give thrust.
I like the idea of a checkpoint turning it on, and another turning it off. You could then have a runway to take off from and another driveway to land. That would add some interesting capabilities.
I actually put this in the zeepkist discord around the same time, and Yannic said that "gliders are planned at a later date" and he has something else for now.
gates that make you a glider .gates that make you a sled .gates that make you a raft. road, air, ice, water - all gravity. that would make this a whole other level of game . He should do this!
I definitely feel like this track has improved over the first one. Having all the visual references makes all the difference. Also I like the idea of Unique developing a specific type check point that enables/disables zeepkist flight controls. Upon driving through said checkpoint a zeepkist's wheels could fold under the vehicle enabling flight mode. (Similar to the BTTF DeLorean with the hover conversion.) Breaking a wheel in flight mode could potentially limit your flying mobility. If you want a zeepkist to come back to earth then have them fly through a similar type of checkpoint. Doing so would unfold the wheels back to their original orientation, flight mode is deactivated and the zeepkist can drive like normal. With further development, flying tracks could be another great mechanic for the game. Thanks Kan for coming up with this 100% totally original concept. 🙃
@@suicidalbanananana I did listen. I fully understood and am perfectly fine with their first thoughts on this I just choose to share a few of my own ideas
Regardless of what everyone says, this track is BRILLIANT! You did something the game wasn't meant to do and made it work (sort of). You're track designs are both challenging and unique. Good job kAN.
I think the idea of being able to fly breaks too much with the basic idea in Zeepkist. But it's fun when you use the options the game offers to do something that wasn't intended at all. Really nice track you made for this video 🙂 👍👍👍
3:13 I would LOVE a racing game with Rocket League controls. I played only a little RL back when it first came out, and I was BAD at it, but I was enamored with the air control system it had.
y'know, that might actually be kinda cool, he's not kidding when he keeps saying to blame unity physics though so I'm not sure if it would be consistent enough.
Kan in a nutshell: _You guys complained about the esthetics in my last video, so this time. . . you get NO esthetics. You want blocks? Parts? Decorations? Effort? Stuff to make the map look pretty? Tough. Now quit complaining._
@Lucas Talsma essentially the same thing. sailplanes use gravity and lift as their engine, where gliders are ment to cover a certain distance while falling. It'd be like calling a zeepkist a coaster.
Considering that Fwogiie almost had deaththreats in the other video, while being onehundred percent right, and when Kan did it again got all the praise for it... still stings to this day.
for the flying I like the checkpoint idea, to keep it simple and consistent across all car models it could add tiny wings on the side of the wheels, or something similar to that. if it's attached to the body it's gonna look weird on some cars, like the broom.
well looks like Kan was not observant, when he taped up he would go down and tap down to go up, like flying an airplane, push forward on the yoke which is the steering wheel/stick to go down and then pull back on it to go up
kAN, talking of scenery and clouds, watch how Diabler made them in his Monza, he used boulders made of white glass, one resized inside another similar in shape, to make them look very... soft and cloudy I'd say.
Then someone will figure out an exploit for the ability to tilt your car while going down a normal track. And everyone goes further down the rabbit hole.
...I always thought this game deserved an official sponsorship with RedBull. Since the good old times when we used to race on land you know, it already was the only game about a discipline which too little people cared of, if wasn't for RedBull. Now we have air races, what are they waiting for?
KAN you should redo your first track on the one year anniversary in two months please respond to this comment note i am bad at spelling. ps thanks for all the good vids.
the people making the superman 64 references really need to try to play that game to get some idea of just what they are saying, it truly is one of the worst games of all time in almost all respects. funnily enough it's not actually the worst one I've played: Gunmetal somehow managed to both launch and sell a couple hundred thousand copies despite being so horribly broken and straight up untested+unfinished that you literally could not pass mission 3 legitimately (no possible way to deal enough damage, like, not even within an order of magnitude) and literally could not make it a third of the way through the game even with cheats giving you invulnerability and infinite damage because it was _so_ badly put together that they did not give you the minimum travel time between mission objectives, let alone any time to actually do the thing when you get there. of course, since gunmetal had a huge advertising buget it never makes it onto "10 worst games of all time" lists. and then you've got Leisuresuit Larry which somehow manages to make it onto both several "10 worst of all time" AND "10 best of all time" lists and genuinely deserve both slots
weird how at 11:10 you try and shame a person who took over 3minutes to complete your map when you couldn't even complete a run after being the one to build it.
Is the bug with that, that the omnibooster should only boost in a plane that is parallel to the booster itself, but it boosts in all directions? Maybe there needs to be a separate booster that does this, so the omnibooster can be used without this flying risk?
i love that kan usually the guy who explore new 'features'.
dapper is the guy who sneakily exploits it
That is what you call a symbiotic relationship...
@@danmaardeze So basically one of them is Venom.
"We are Venom"!
"I wish we had proper pitch controls"

I actually put this in the zeepkist discord around the same time, and Yannic said that "gliders are planned at a later date" and he has something else for now.
the fact kan can create pain out of thin air is quite impressive
Dense air actually, they're at sea level.
With all of the ideas you guys have given Yannic, the april fools day update is going to be wild

Nice track Kan, i cant play this but i love to watch all you guys creating painfun tracks 😅
Scrapman does a lot of different games. Probably didn’t have time to devote to Zeepkist.

12:20 Again, proof. Warcans has a lighter car than everyone else.

If you want tp keep the idea of zeepkest, but in flying, make a sailplane racing game.
Or gliders
@Lucas Talsma essentially the same thing. sailplanes use gravity and lift as their engine, where gliders are ment to cover a certain distance while falling. It'd be like calling a zeepkist a coaster.
Beautiful, the best of Kan's map since a while, good concept and execution even when it is including signature stye, pain.
This was really hard. I spent over 2 minutes circling the finish before dying and not finishing
Looks like something we had back in like 2010 in need for madness
I love the barrel roll on takeoff 😄 style points!

Yeah, the whole time I was siding with Fwogiie. I figured he knew what he was talking about, and he did.
That was pain

You could add some giant curves that can be used to make quicker turns, as a skill shot.
This mechanic is the rocket jumping / bunny hopping of Zeepkist :)
for the flying I like the checkpoint idea, to keep it simple and consistent across all car models it could add tiny wings on the side of the wheels, or something similar to that.
if it's attached to the body it's gonna look weird on some cars, like the broom.
I like the idea of holding a button to get weight control. How many tracks have jumps? Weight control would work with those jumps.
Zeepkist 2.0 maybe?
Try negative slowsters, might have a weird boost effect
Reminds me of that superman game lol
i liked this for the scrapman comment

Do this but with a golf course theme, make it look like your car is being hit by a driver too!
Here's a track theme: M. C. Escher.
🤔They talked about this in a zeepkist video last week.
Nice track👍👌🇸🇪
Not sure if you guys wanna make more trailmaker vids for mm but that would actually be pretty sic
It's not a bug, it's a feature now!
To make the next redbull air race do a there and back slalom just put the check point’s vertical on spaced out posts
