My husband left me a couple weeks ago he suffers with PTSD and other trauma related disorders. He always says it’s me but in my heart I know it’s his own pain and trauma. I am working on myself and trying to be the wife he needs me to be to deal with all of this but it is so hard when he thinks getting away from a 30 year marriage is the only answer. I’m giving him space and it’s so hard, we have leaned on one and other for everything for so long. My daughter is 14 and it’s just so hard to watch her go through this with us. So much prayer. Main hurdle is when we take several steps forward and then he pulls back. Another setback is passage of time as it’s hard to stay hopeful the more time that passes and the more that we both get used to being apart. Thank you for this story of hope.
There are multiple good suggestions in this video. It occurred to me that one thing that can change us most and that leads us to do the things she has mentioned here is charity-- selfless love: "charity suffereth long, and is kind... seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil...hopeth all things, endureth all things". I am still in the middle of my own crisis, but as she said, I know that at least I have changed. My love for God and others is increasing. I have realized that past mistakes and problems with handling things is that I have been focused on myself rather than them.

I needed to hear the lady's story today. My situation really feels hopeless. My wife recently told me some very hurtful things on top of reminding me of many of the bad things i did. My situation isnt even as bad as some of these stories, but my wife wants nothing to with reconciliation. After watching this video I realized how selfish I was. My wife is terrible with money, but she is my wife. I gave her an allowance. I now realized how demeaning that was to her. That allowance started pushing her away. I'll put to work the other suggestions and update this post. I love her so much.
I'm 6 months in and so far the worst parts are waiting, loneliness in the bed, fighting the thoughts of what "they" are doing, talking with her on the phone and hearing him right next to her, most of the time she won't talk unless her AP is right there, and more waiting.

He says he is done, has removed his ring and filing next pay-day. He says I snapped out of my depression too late and doing all he has ever wanted me to do only shows we can amicably share custody. Obviously it hasn't been easy to stand humbly vulnerable for redemption and possible reconciliation of the marriage I once had with my ex-wife for the glory of God,and ministry of healing.Though I know that I've been working on being rest assured from love in God.

I know praying is what I need to do ,we all need to pray for what we want God to do a work in but like a farmer praying for rain is not enough without preparing that field with seeds first ... if we really expect God to do a work in our marriage we must prepare while praying..is there anything God cant fix if we prepare the way as we ask for his help daily.. and then we must say to him God even if my marriage doesn't succeed to where I want it I will still follow you lord.. because in the light of Eternity these worldly things won't matter either way.. most important thing we need to do right now is work on pleasing the God who made you..

I needed to hear the lady's story today. My situation really feels hopeless. My wife recently told me some very hurtful things on top of reminding me of many of the bad things i did. My situation isnt even as bad as some of these stories, but my wife wants nothing to with reconciliation. After watching this video I realized how selfish I was. My wife is terrible with money, but she is my wife. I gave her an allowance. I now realized how demeaning that was to her.
That allowance started pushing her away.

Breathed a little life back into with this. My wife has said she doesn't want that marriage back. And neither do I. That marriage was no good for either of us. I want new and improved.
