I know this is an older video but, It was perfect timing.....I just set up for my 1st play through of the solo mission. Your video was extremely helpful. Thanks for your efforts
in this video , you made this difficult game look easy , I really enjoyed all 4 walk through videos , although I was kinda disappointed to find out that was the end of mage knight on your channel
Your videos are so different from other youtubets like rahdo, who claim this game is super hard. Yet after watching your videos, rules do not seem to be overcomplicated. Good job :)
Yeah people get so worked up about the difficulty but it's really not bad at all. Playing once or twice will work out the kinks then you should be good to go!!
Your walkthrough videos are top notch! Mage Knight is a VERY difficult game to get ones head around and you made it look easy. I am amazed at the clarity and depth of your explanations of these high-caliber games. Are you planning to do a MK walkthrough of one of the more complex scenarios? That would be most interesting! Best of luck in whatever future videos you tackle.
Just tripped over this comment again and wanted to say thank you for your support. Mage Knight is my favorite game and over thanksgiving week I will definitely be doing the Solo Conquest. Thanks for watching
You explained the game in a very understandable way. Thanks for the videos, I think I dare to try this game once again now :)... first time I tried was one big wtf
Could You explain to me one thing? Why in guide book for Mage Knight at the end of chapter dedicated to details of fight (it's on page 12, at the top of page, but I have polish version so it may be different), on last example there are 2 wound cards? I don't get it. Enemy attack is 3, no block, armor value is 2, so why 2 wounds instead of 1? Could You give me some clue, please? Oh, and one more thing bothers me. At 22:34 of this walkthrough you rolled dice and got second gold mana. But You said before that in source of mana, there should be at least half of basic mana color. So I thought You should re-roll dice, maybe... I don't know.
Hi Gniewny! To answer your question about attacks and wounds: If you do not fully block an attack, it goes through at full strength. In the example, it's a strength of 3. Now for each wound you take you reduce the attack value by your armor. In this case, 1 wound brings the remaining damage to be assigned down to 1 (3 attack minus 2 armor), and then the second wound would bring it down to 0 (1 remaining attack damage minus 2 armor). With the mana dice in the source, the basic mana rule only applies for the initial source rolling that occurs at the very beginning of each night and day round. And so it is very possible that by the end of any given round, that there be no usable mana. Let me know if you have any other questions or if you need further clarification. Thanks for watching.
thegamestuff Thank You very much for answer! So, it's like taking wound "is letting" Your armor to work? Keeping in mind that last example - one wound is decreasing damage by armor value once (3 dmg - 2 arm val = 1), but there is still 1 attack point to reduce, so You're taking another wound card and "using" Your armor again (1 dmg - 2 arm val = -1)? Right?
@@thegamestuff9965 so the armor value on your caracter issent block in anyway its just a value to tell you how mutch dmg you can take before getting a wound, and you need to take all the dmg divided by the value on the caracter, hmm i see, so taking 5 dmg and you got 2 will give you 3 wounds cuz you take 2+2+1, but if you leveled up and have 3 "armor" value you take 3+2 =2 wounds, i see the ppl i played this with for my first time played this totaly wrong, but i get it now it makes sence, this makes blocking a more needed skill :)
Your walkthrough is helping me learn the game while I'm waiting for it to ship! Very clear and concise, bravo.

Have you tried to play yet? This game is far from easy to understand.

And this is just part one out of four for the walk through alone! Is this game really worth the time it takes to learn it?
Good explanations !! Thanks :D
greaqt walktrough, but motionsickness is a problem,. get a stand and your vids are top notch
I think I'd much rather play Gloomhaven. Is there a story to this or you just try to beat scenario types?

Really wish this video was captioned so I could benefit from it.
like your style...other instructions far to fast
You keep on moving the camera, it's making me dizzy. Can't watch!
I concur. Invest in a tripod.
You speak well, it's not a talent everyone has.
