Actually some videogames are exposed permanently at Moma, design section (en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_video_games_in_the_Museum_of_Modern_Art ). The italian curator Paola Antonelli had the idea. Even at the XXII Triennale of Milan (a very important design exhibition) Paola Antonelli decided to put videogames, one was Abzû. Who knows, maybe even Hellblade will be part of an exhibition someday.

This fight has got to be one of my favourite boss fight ost’s. it just adds so much to the fight. like, you’re just this fragile woman, standing before a literal GOD of FIRE. and her strength, determination, and courage peaks, to the point where she dares challenge him. the only other bossfight that gave me such chills is the Ivory king bossfight from Dark Souls 2, where you and a small team of silver knights plunge into literal hell, in order to lay the tortured soul of their knight-king and the knights who went with him, to rest. it’s magnificent, after a gruelling battle with the charred knights in a boss room filled with no music, only the sound of fire, lava, and the clashing of swords, a GIGANTIC portal opens up, and the king steps through it, greeted by a magnificent orchestral piece.
When i heard this song the only thing i thought was the fight, not about dying or lost everything, i think thats how the old Vikings was used to think while they were battling.
I don't think this game would quite be to my taste, but holy shit this soundtrack... Also, I'm worrying. After listening to this particular piece, I have a sudden urge to go raid, loot, and pillage somewhere. Whilst making a few toasts to Odin...
Brother Choronzon Totally. We're getting used to their romantic portrayal as free and honourable warriors, but we also forget their facet as pirates, and slavers who came from the sea to plunder and kill. Hellblade portrayed the northmen as a "strange" and cruel people, with a fascinating yet terrifying religion and mythology, just like any survivor of their raids would see them.
If you want you can check out "Adrian von Ziegler" too on youtube. Not as strong as this music (he's not singing, only making music) but still sounds great.
I would definitely recommend you the 'Vikings' soundtrack (also the Tv Show) and 'FeHu' and 'Helvegen' from Wardruna ,my two absolute favourites. There is also 'Herr Mannelig' from Garmarna ,I suggest you check out that one too:)
I just finished the second game and its a pretty good game but it doesn't hold a candle to this ,sadly. There is no epic 1 on 1 with the gods ,with battle chants in the background...
Both are heavily based on scandinavian mythology, and while Witcher also has much influence form slavic myths, there will still be similiarities especially when both mythologies have some common things due to both communities living close to eachother and often trading/fighting.
That would be neat, but this theme makes the fight seem more desperate because Senua is only human, but something like this would still be cool for god of war.
@@dunklebunkle9564 imagine seeing thor or odin desperate knowing they can't beat kratos... or maybe kratos being desperate realising that nordic gods are stronger.
@@TheRevanchist9000 Im not sure, but that's what it looks like. In reality of course they can't be compared because they don't even exist, but in the game, im pretty sure baldur alone could have killed half of the greek gods.
@@undercover_matin Would Baldur still be able to take them on without invincibility though in your opinion? Some of the Greek Gods in the God of War franchise just weren't devout fighters (like Hermes for instance) so I could definitely see Baldur causing an uproar on Olympus.

When this started playing in game the hair on the back of my neck stood up. This game belongs in an art gallery

This made the fight with Surtr all the more terrifying and intense.
When I heard it I thought it was Druth Trying to hype Senua up
And yet it felt redemptive standing up against this terrifying and intense force.
It was FUCKING epic 😬😬😬

To be fair, he was pretty easy. I did Valravn first and he was way more complicated.
That new God of War game is gonna have to really impress me after this game in terms of ancient Scandinavian kick-assery.
aangandtoph4ever hahahaha best comment mate !
Now that it's out, did it impress you?
It's definitely good, but it doesn't put the iron soul of Scandinavia in me quite like this game.
God of War has a more fairy-tale wibe of Scandinavia like Banner Saga, all pictureqsque and colourful and Hellblade is darker and more grim
Its cool an all but the music does not even come close to the badassery of this track
everybody gangsta until the gaelic screaming kicks in
Gaelic? No lol
It ain't gaelic for sure. It sounds more like Icelandic
it's norse. I'm pretty sure it's the composer Andy Laplegua, but don't quote me on that.
Senua is Gaelic, this music sounds more Scandinavian.
imagine if someone made a hellblade movie...
with the number of botched video game movies, I'm kind of worried lol
It would flop. All movies are made for money, few games are still made for art.
I would watch it

this is so brilliant, you can actually hear fire and burning, the fire giant incarnate
This game is a masterpiece. Wish more developers would do this kind of narrative driven type of game.

Amazing that This is Andy LaPlegua from Combichrist. Love it!
His work on DMC was insane man, the Dante vs Vergil fight song was fucking mad. Same feeling!
Focus now!

Ce jeu me donne des frissons et me prend aux tripes, un chef d'œuvre tout simplement
The music and environment makes this fight all the more intimidating and scary
imagine you;re playing skyrim and suddenly this music kicks in while you see no one around
This is the best soundtrack from the game.
by far
No way. The Bridge to Helheim is the best
Loop is on.
This song had me on the verge of tears it was so damn hype
Official ost - Battle March. First track NinaTheory released quite a few years ago.

Hail The Allfather
Actually, northmen in this game are depicted more like something evil, looters, murderers, bandits than "hurr durr blood honour hail odin"
Time for Wardruna and Heilung then!
