In the year I've had my Supernote, I still haven't found one video that condenses ALL of this information into short, quickstart tutorial-type format... so I decided to make one. I hope this guide helps you figure out your personal workflow for your Supernote A5X or A6X.

Typing on MS Word documents works, in a pinch, for editing documents on the fly.

I checked with Supernote/Ratta last year before getting this charger, to make sure the wattage was optimal! I charge my SN with it exclusively, and credit it with helping me keep my battery in good condition.

- The symbol to define a TITLE is now the letter T, and you can choose the background color.

If you make some thing a title does it have to stay on the page to keep the title? I mean could you write the date on that page, make it the title, then remove the text from the page (to make more room to write or for whatever reason) and keep the title function previously created?
So I have spent about 3 hours of viewing different videos about the supernote.. This is is by far the best one. It contained exactly everything I was looking for. Thank you!

It’s really personal preference! I would order a ceramic nib though (standard or heart of metal) because the writing feel is so unique and you can only get it at SN. You can get the LAMY elsewhere online (just order one with a POM nib)

Waiting patiently until the new A6x is out. It's just the right size, and the older I get, the less weight I want to carry in my bag. Thank-you for the informative video. I was sold at Stars and Keywords. I wonder if using a Supernote will improve my messy handwriting.

Awesome video! Thanks for the basic rundown, this is one of the best videos of the supernote out there. I have a question: how easy is it to insert pictures in the notes? I plan to use a SN at my research position and it would be very useful to have the notes and graphs/images in one place. Obviously they'll be in black-and-white on the display, but would color pictures retain their color information after exporting as a PDF?
You can't insert photos in notes (as you would in a Word doc) at the moment, it's just on the roadmap. The most practical workaround I can think of is putting them in a PDF with space for notes; if you have any colors in a PDF they should be retained even if you write on it.

I'm curious about the kindle app. When using the kindle app on the SN A5X, does it do text to speech, in other words, does it read the text like some other kindle apps?

Thank you very much for producing a great and professional video! I have an a5x on order. Why do you have both sizes? Which size do you use most often and why? It seems the only possible advantage (other than slight $ difference) is portability.
I actually only have the A6X. :) But they run basically the same firmware and have the same resolution, so things work the same. The short version of why I wanted the smaller size is that’s what I’m comfortable with and think of as “notebook” size (similar size to my paper notebooks) instead of tablet size, and my main use is note taking.

You're welcome! :) The document I show in the Digest segment/demonstration of the video is actually an epub of Pride and Prejudice, so yes that works for ebooks! If you mean highlighting (using the highlighter instead of drawing brackets) that doesn't go into the Digest, it's just like highlighting paper
Thank you! I got a question: I would like to get a Supernote to annotate my manuscripts. This involves deleting a sentence and rewriting it, which could result in a situation where I delete one sentence, but add 100 sentences - does the digest function provide enough handwriting space to do this? And can my annotations be exportet?
I wonder if we would be able to write on Supernote’s Kindle ebooks in the future? I understand that it’s a third party app and that the native ebook app allows this but there are so many research books I have on my kindle list that I wish I could mark up digitally. Anyone with insight, please reply. :) cheers!

I don’t use it for email, so you would have to ask Supernote CS or on Reddit/Facebook. The links to the groups are in the description :)
I would be using this to read my Kindle books, would I be able to change font and the size of the text etc, all the usual Kindle things on the Supernote?
What is the difference between creating a template, or just importing a pdf form? I am mainly trying to complete fields in forms, so am I better off just importing a pdf to write on?
please can you let us know from what source you buy your ebooks if not Kindle, because i believe you cant use the built-in reader with kindle books right?

I don’t have a Nook so no firsthand experience, but my understanding is even if the books are in the right format (epub) they come with B&N DRM. You would have to remove it
It occurs to me that the Supernote would be useful for document or form signing instead of the usual online way of choosing a 'canned' signature version of one's name in place of a real signature.

You can’t link templates/notes at the moment, I’m referring to internal links in a PDF document :) So whoever makes the PDF file has to add the links in

So to download the planner you linked in this video's description, I should download all of the 2022 dotted or lined PDFs from the github page, then manually add internal links to each page in my supernote device...? @@jch0326 no, you just need to download one. The links are between the pages in 1 PDF file (it will probably make more sense after downloading and using one of the files!)
If I am going to do basic journaling, sketching , note taking and e book, should i go with a5x or a6 x. The thing is is I have IPAD pro (the big one) and i use it a lot too.
When using kindle, does highlightong get synced with the account so i can extrat them or view them on other devices
Very helpful video. If we change to another supernote device , will the annotated books retain the editing we have done (highlight/free writing/digest)
I think it’s easy to copy over the highlighting/writing (it’s in one file) but you’ll have to ask SN how to transfer Digest as I think you would have to export it
Can you annotate on word documents that you’ve imported for proof reading?
How about syncing? When I am out and about, can I open the notes on my iPhone?

This is awesome thank you. I have a question that I don't see answered anywhere. Being a new supernote user, should I be writing in Notes or Documents? What is the difference, seeing as they both have the same structure once you go in the file. And second question, if I'm writing a story (short novel), should I write it in a Doc (word file) or a note? I know the benefit of a Doc file are the gestures that come with editing which are great, such as crossing through words to delete, but are there disadvantages? If writing in a Doc file has those gesture advantages, why wouldn't everyone always write in a Doc file? Thank you!
