    I've looked into the dental hygiene program page and it does not mention anything about an admission test but I have heard from other students who have applied that we have to take an admission test, does this mean admission is not based solely on grades but as well as results from the admission test?

    hi is the $20,000 tuition for all three years or per year?

    • @georgebrowncollege
      @georgebrowncollege  9 лет назад

      Hi Fatoumata Camara, If you are looking at the tuition fees on the George Brown College program page the amounts listed are usually the total of tuition, materials, student service and ancillary fees of programs starting in fall 2014. Fees are subject to change for programs starting in fall 2015 and at later dates.
      There will be additional costs to the program in each year of study, including textbooks, appropriate laboratory attire, and personal protective equipment. There is a refundable rental fee for some equipment on loan to the student.
      I hope this answers your question.

    Hey! I really want to become a dental hygienist I have a few questions..do you need a undergrad in bsc? And if so if I study in chemistry will it help to become a dental hygienist? And what courses should I take in high school to help me🤔?

      Students are not required to have an undergraduate degree in science, but there are several academic requirements which are science related. To apply and be considered, you will need the following from high school:
      - Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent**
      - Grade 12 English (C or U) - A grade of 70 or higher is required. - Grade 11 Math (M or U) or Grade 12 (C or U) - A grade of 60 or higher is required.
      - Grade 11 Biology (C or U) or Grade 12 (U) - A grade of 70 or higher is required.
      - Grade 11 Chemistry or Physics (U) or Grade 12 Chemistry or Physics (C or U) - A grade of 60 or higher is required.
      Please note that the marks listed above are the minimum required. As this is a highly competitive program, many students who are accepted to the program end up having marks significantly higher.
      For details on this program, please visit our program page: www.georgebrown.ca/programs/dental-hygiene-program-s124/#admReqsContent

    First year was tough. I did manage to find some clinic videos that were very helpful. I'm left handed so I was lucky to find videos that were designed for both left handed and right handed students. You can find the videos at ruclips.net/video/xdjAofPXTdk/видео.html

    Would we be eligible to apply to dental hygiene after successfully completing pre-health science?

    • @georgebrowncollege
      @georgebrowncollege  9 лет назад

      Hi Duke B The courses from Pre-health (A102) will help the applicant meet the admission requirements for S124, however, A102 students must meet the minimum grade requirements for dental Hygiene as they are ranked equally with all other applicants.
      Completing the entire program generally makes the applicant’s application more competitive for S124, but it is not a guarantee of entry.
