In the Vat 2 documents, Gregorian Chant has pride of place. Our music is the most important part of our art and is a kind of reliquary because of all the saints who sang these ancient hymns before us!
It's a connection, it's us in our day, being able to touch our ancestors in Faith.
This is my parish, I'm blessed to say. It's not the closest to where I live, but I go there weekly for mass in the extraordinary (Latin) form.
