Eviolite Duralodon as a Support is nice. In SWSH I built one with Breaking Swipe, Snarl, Rock Tomb/Scary Face, Steel Roller. It wasn't that big of a deal for most opponents, but it did it's job decently good.
Moxie, you're not thinking through Syrup Bomb enough. It's a 3 turn speed control that negates opposing TW after 2 turns. it goes insanely hard into a Contrary Enamorus or Enamorus-T in a TR setting

I don’t think it will get a move that gets boosted in rain. Walking Wake got a water move that’s boosted in Sun because it’s ability Protosynthesis goes against its water typing, since water is normally reduced in Sun. There’s no reason a Protosynthesis mon to get a Fire move boosted in rain.

My guess for Archaludon's stats is: 80 95 120 130 75 50 That puts it at 550 BST, same as Kingambit, Ursaluna, and Gholdengho. It's a whole bridge now vs a building, so the speed is lowered enough to be solid in trick room and the base hp increases. That combined with a 25 pt increase in spDef reduces Duraludon's biggest weakness, then the remaining points into SpAtk and Def, favoring SpAtk as that will be more useful with it's signature attack, and stamina can increase it's Def anyway. I think it'll be 550 bc that matches the two added evos mentioned above, and the only mons above Arcanine's 555 BST are legendaries, Megas, Pseudos, Archeops, and Slaking (I'm categorizing paradoxes and ultra beasts as legendaries bc they're stronger than usual mons that can't be bred)
Dripplin I think would make sense to have high defence and high spattack with maybe okay speed. This would pair well with its ability and signature move, taking enough hits to drop the opponent's speed while doing decent damage. I assume that syrup is hard candy rather than just a gooey mess.
Duraludon @Eviolite Ability: Stalwart Nature: Calm Tera: Dragon or Steel 252 SpDef / 252 Def / 6 Spd Draco Meteor Flash Cannon Body Press Iron Defense Maximum Defense investment + Eviolite makes this Duraludon extremely bulky, making the lower Speed less dangerous, and adding in Iron Defense cranks the Defense, which Body Press appreciates.

Unless they make this thing as strong as a pseudo I'm expect like a 15 BST increase max (to make it 550 like Kingambit). I think it's mostly an ability/sig move evo.
I’m really hoping for a battle tower or something similar to come back in the DLC. Was really disappointed that there wasn’t really anything like that in the base game
We're about to have a literal bridge pokemon. At least past itemons have unique creative designs for every generation. This just a literal bridge. It feels weird
You could probably infer that Dripplin will have base 80 defense since all three apple Pokemon have a base defense of 80. Dripplin will also probably have a base stat total of 485 since the other two evolutions have that. What might be possible is that it has a base stat of 110 in one of it stats, but that might be a coincidence.
If ultra Dripstinct gets some good stats it’s going to be busted in 2v2. Grab a contrary Pokémon, use it’s move on it and you get a quasi-speed boost. Or again use it on your own Pokémon against TR teams. Naturally speed drops on your opponent are also strong but they also have evasiveness dropping too? That combined with a 25 pt increase in spDef reduces Duraludon's biggest weakness, then the remaining points into SpAtk and Def, favoring SpAtk as that will be more useful with it's signature attack, and stamina can increase it's Def anyway.
I think it'll be 550 bc that matches the two added evos mentioned above, and the only mons above Arcanine's 555 BST are legendaries, Megas, Pseudos, Archeops, and Slaking (I'm categorizing paradoxes and ultra beasts as legendaries bc they're stronger than usual mons that can't be bred)
Lower the attack more. Ursaluna cut -30 from its useless spatk.
Getting hyped for the dlc be4 the first worlds smh. Ty for the great vid moxie!
Seeing how they made moves that place hazards on the field, maybe thats how sweetsyrup might be and set up a temp sticky webs
Dripplin paired with gothitelle and wobbufett and other blocking moves is gunna be BRAZY. sand tomb groudon is back baby
All I got to say about today's direct....
Poor raikou kekw
I really love every design that got showed today, especially Raging Bolt and Archaludon. really fun stuff from this direct
also the english pokemon website says Syrup Bomb is a single target special attak that deals damage
Dripplin I think would make sense to have high defence and high spattack with maybe okay speed. This would pair well with its ability and signature move, taking enough hits to drop the opponent's speed while doing decent damage. I assume that syrup is hard candy rather than just a gooey mess.
Duraludon @Eviolite
Ability: Stalwart
Nature: Calm
Tera: Dragon or Steel
252 SpDef / 252 Def / 6 Spd
Draco Meteor
Flash Cannon
Body Press
Iron Defense
Maximum Defense investment + Eviolite makes this Duraludon extremely bulky, making the lower Speed less dangerous, and adding in Iron Defense cranks the Defense, which Body Press appreciates.
Really wondering how the Terastal forms could work, maybe it'll be like Gigantamax where Terablast gains a new effect and or base power, or it could let the pokemon be a dual typing instead of a single typing. Hopefully both because it would be really interesting to see something like that.
I believe -1 evasion simply means you multiply your accuracy by 4/3. In other words everything 75% accurate and above is now 100%
Most excited about new Area Zero stuff and Archaludon. His new move is so ridiculously broken
The Blueberry Leauge looked like doubles. What if this is a sort of "Hall of champions" and you can play a version of your local regions regional champions as well as some well known Trainers available internationally
Unless they make this thing as strong as a pseudo I'm expect like a 15 BST increase max (to make it 550 like Kingambit). I think it's mostly an ability/sig move evo.
If Archaludon has a red shiny form, I'm nicknaming it Jack
(If you know, you know)
Mark my words, Archaludon will have Electric Steelworker for its hidden ability
I’m really hoping for a battle tower or something similar to come back in the DLC. Was really disappointed that there wasn’t really anything like that in the base game
I feel like arculadon would become like 20 extra bst, and get its speed tampered into a way or another.
Dipplin doesnt look like a evo but the few frames of him looking smug are great
It is an evolution, it's got the horn and tail from the other two evolutions
At first i tought it would be a paldean applin lol
I’m guessing the paradox legendaries are adding dragon to the beasts and swapping fight to phsy for the swords
Dipplin will take over the meta
Population bomb with stamina is gonna be op as hell on archaludon
dipplin plus dark void, If darkrai comes bavk in the dlc dark void is gonna be pretty good
If ultra Dripstinct gets some good stats it’s going to be busted in 2v2. Grab a contrary Pokémon, use it’s move on it and you get a quasi-speed boost. Or again use it on your own Pokémon against TR teams. Naturally speed drops on your opponent are also strong but they also have evasiveness dropping too? If that doesn’t affect your own Pokémon.. jeez
It would be funny if Archaludon got 600 Base stats lol
If dripplin gets good bulk, hp and speeed then I can see it being a good support mon paired with its new ability and new move
"I don't know why these guys are separate"
Different DLCs.
Which Pokémon are you hoping WON’T return with the DLC (aside from Shedinja, obviously)?
I would compare alcharudon to porygon z, theu both evolve from a pokemon that is already super strong so it will probably don’t get that much points added
Bulky Defiant Trick Room Kingambit + Dipplin = profit
I'd assume Dripplin is a mixed sorta-fast attacker.
Duraludon's about to get the fastest ban hammer in Smogon history when it gets booted out of gen 9 LC
New Applin Evo + Hustle Mon? Lots of options
Imagine dipplin was introduced during dark void meta🤣
now we wait for bottle caps to allow us to control how many ivs do we actually want including lowering the ivs
I really hope that these paradox legendaries aren’t just mythical tier where we won’t be able to use em in vgc formats…
The electro charge is for any weather
0:45 Raikou giraffe.
The ability of Dipplin has me interested
Dipplin + Pokemon with strong moves that have low accuracy
And it’s signature move lowering speed over the next three turns seems super interesting
Dipplin next to Ting-Lu with Fissure lol
@@PKStormunfortunately/fortunately depending on your feelings to this move, Fissure doesn’t follow the normal accuracy check. It’s always 30% assuming the user and target are the same level.
@@JameShark_ aw that's a shame
Since archaludon isnt a ghost you can side population bomb instead of beat up
Yo Dipplin plus Darkrai’s Dark Void
Edit: Yeah Syrup Bomb is listed as a special attack
Dark Void would never be legal unless they do a meta that allows Mythical Pokemon. They rarely allow those.
@@cartergamegeek I mean they just did it this past Gen, you never know
Little Cup is about to get fucking insane
Hear me out, pair the drip mon with garchomp and you can finally spam dragon rush
Give it DD and then finally the glory days begin
Wait i just had an amazing thought
If Dipplin uses Syrup Bomb on a Defiant Kingambit, because the speed drops happen passively. Would it trigger Defiant every speed drop?
Yes
@@MoxieBoosted oh boy, remember this for future content/ Trick Room sillyness
@@drxavier1870 only works on opponents tho
@@MoxieBoosted could have said that with the first comment
@@drxavier1870 I didn't put 2 and 2 together until your second comment tbh
They are separate because one is from DLC one and the other one is from DLC two
Duraladon needed something so at least if the evo isn't good it opens it up to be an evoilite mon.
Archaludon to me seems more like an porygon z type if deal where it does not just get statboosts but its more of an rearrangement. This is just my gut feeling tho because it realy does not need more stats.
Porygon Z DOES get a small stat boost: 515 to 535.
@@nousername191 yeah i kinda forgot cause its so different
An apple a day keeps the doctor away 🍎
They knew EXACTLY what they were doing when they made the photographer girl...
Hitmontop & politoed hype
When I first saw dripplin I thought cool. A new regional applin. Maybe we get two neww evos. But nah. This dude was the Evo. 😂
Now we cooking.
Instead of an attacking move getting stronger in E. terrain/sun what do you think the chances are of support moves instead?
I see Duraludon losing speed when it evolves like Bisharp
duradulon in little cup:
Dripplin is on my team bc he so cute
I just want Dippin to have good atk/special atk so funny draco meteor/leaf storm/dragon rush go brrrrrrrrrrrrr-
