Hi! I LOVE 💕 the way you did these envelopes! I have tons of sheet music, now all I need are some of those gorgeous napkins! Thx so much for sharing this process 👌
Hi Valerie I am so glad I found your channel! Months ago I found your channel and used this technique to make one of my junk journals. I am going to add your channel to the link. Love love this technique, thank you!
I was just watching another video where the Lady took the napkin, covered it with a sheet of card stock, then took a warm iron and ironed one corner and it made it easier to separate the napkin layers. Hope that helps.
Hi Valerie! I just love this video and your envelopes. I can’t wait to try some.. I just stumbled upon your channel and I am subscribing to you. Can’t wait till I watch more. I think I might add a magnet closure. I use one magnet and one metal washer to make the closure. It saves on magnets. I’m a senior citizen and have been crafting for over 50 years. I love pushing my comfort zone and trying new crafts. Happy crafting!
I like this easy and creative idea. Thanks for sharing. I also like your comment about not being perfect, that’s what I believe because crafty people are Perfectly Imperfect!!
@@gingerseclecticlife8007 After I watched your video, I used your technique and made 12 envelopes. :) I used a different seal and will have a video soon because I am including them in one of my junk journals creations . I hope to have this video posted by the end of this weekend. I would like to invite you to Subscribe to my channel. Thanks!!
Good video with creative ideas ! I've been saving old church music books, now I will make envelopes out of the pages. Like the napkins too. I have old maps too. I'm excited to finally use all the things I've been saving ! I teach beginner watercolor classes to Senior citizens and the envelopes with watercolor is a great project for them with a hand-made card. Thank you!
Thanks for the interesting video. I enjoyed your method very much. Quick and easy. I like to have a card or something in mind for my envelopes, So they need to fit the envelope. It wouldn’t be too hard to guess the size needed with your method. I love, love envelopes, though. Even using old business ones with glassine openings are fun to work with. Good to recycle them, too, from junk mail. The insides of “safety” envelopes sometimes have neat designs. Leslie, I am so happy to find your channel.
Great video! Lots of tips and ideas and it seems like you'll be a lot of fun to make these great looking envelopes! I was thinking of using seed packets this summer and making envelopes out of them.
Fascinating to watch..I've just shared a video for making really easy envelopes from old book pages. Our techniques are a little different. Awesome supplies that you used....beautiful!! Joie xx
Lorri Diane Wright Hi Lorri, if you go to my channel there's a video from 3 weeks ago called "Tutorial making envelopes from old book pages". Hope that helps! Joie ❤️🌻
To pull apart the napkin layers, take a small piece of tape and wrap it around your fingers STICKY SIDE OUT to form a ring, then apply it to the plain side of the napkin and pull up. It will cause a small tear that will allow you to pull the rest of the layer off easily.
Hi Valerie, just saw you on here, and these envelopes are adorable! I love them!! So glad I found you and can't wait to try this technique myself. Matter of fact, just last week I bought a ton of napkin packs at the Dollar Store, and this will be a great way to utilize them. Thank you again! Lynn
I'm just learning about all this and am so inspired to find your beautiful Junk Journals here /the process video on how to go about creating envelopes for inside them.
To separate napkin from the double layered backing, stick a tiny piece of sticky tape to the backing and pull...easy peasy lol...great vid...oops sorry just realised this is an old tute haha
Here's a tip I saw recently for separating the layers on the napkin... Take a small piece of Scotch tape and put it right in the middle and pull up gently. It opens up a hole to pull away the layers effortlessly😏 I like your creative ideas and easy way of making envelopes.
A new suscriber here!🙋♀️when you think you know everything about napkins 🤔 look at this beautiful idea so pretty thank u beautiful lady for sharing.God bless your hands wow!🙋♀️👍🏻👏🙏🤗❤🔊
Use a piece of scotch tape and attach the end to the back of the napkin and pull it will pull up the first back layer. You can use the same piece of tape using the other end for the second layer....presto easy removal of the back two layers of the napkin. Also use an old plastic key card or credit card to smooth your napkin..
Napkin tip... take a tiny piece of tape and stick i to the back of the napkin and you can pull the layer(s) off without tearing the top layer of the napkin..
Hello! My name is Valerie also! I just discovered your channel via this video. I just subscribed. These envelopes would be so cool to make. I have lots of National Geographic Maps.
That napkin is the same as what I bought at Tuesday Morning. I love it.
I really like the watercolor painted envelopes.
Tip! Glue your page and lay the glued page face down ON TOP of the upside down napkin! Easier to control, and less wrinkles and potential tears! 😁
How simple and adorable 🥰
Really liked your tutorial.can’t wait to try it.

If I had to make everything perfect I wouldn't enjoy doing my crafts. Yes we are perfectly imperfect. Thanks for watching.

Thank you for this wonderful idea. So colorful and useful.
I appreciate this video about making envelopes.
You could use scrapbook sheets. Decoupage the plain side and the pattern side would be the interior of the envelope. I like your idea and this video !

A small piece of single sided clear tape on both sides of the same corner works well.

Hello nice to meet you
You can get rid of wrinkles by putting it in the oven. I think it's 275° for a few minutes. Martha Stewart and Patioelf have instructions on this.
Thanks for the tip, I appreciate it. Have a great day!
I'm just learning about all this and am so inspired to find your beautiful Junk Journals here /the process video on how to go about creating envelopes for inside them.
Just don't forget it is in there and turn the oven up to 350 F to bake something.Which I did once- when I smelled hot plastic I remembered!! LOL!
Cutting up books? Not sure I can... but magazines? Definitely! Thank you!
They just throw the books away is this way you are reusing/recycling

Soooo cool!!! I’m going to make photo journals for the siblings for Christmas this year and then mod podge an envelope for each one to put them in.
If you take a piece if tape and stick it to the back of the napkins it will pull the layers off really easy.
These are amazing! I found you by accident, but will subscribe on purpose!! :)

Might want to gently iron the napkin before adhereing to get center crease out, reduce chance of wrinkles.

If you use a bone folder on the corner, that makes it easier to separate.
