First time I've seen the controls setup like that. Horn, light and nyon controls on left, dropper and shifter on right. It's really nice. Does the dealer normally change these around for you?
Hi, nice vid. Regarding these knobby Johnny Watts tires. Do you notice much vibration and road noise when biking on standard asphalt surfaces at high speed? I like the idea of occasional off-roading, but also value a quiet bike with minimal vibration. I know R&M offers more standard road tires as well.
We like the Schwalbe Johnny Watts tires and find they are quiet on road. If you ride exclusively on road then we recommend the smooth tires, but if you do some trails and off road, then the GX Johnny Watts are great. Schwalbe's website has this description of Johnny Watts,

Please, how did you adjust the Nyon display forward flat like that, after tilting the cockpit upright? Can't find instructions for that anywhere... or any video demonstrations... :( Thanks!
There are two Allen head bolts accessible through the underside of the stem where all the wiring is tucked away. These two bolts tighten the bracket which the display and headlight are mounted to. Loosening these bolts will let you swivel the display/light bracket relative to the handlebars. We recommend taking the bike to your local Riese & Müller dealer to have this adjustment made, as it is a bit tricky to do correctly.
Is it easy to maintain 28miles per hour or do we need a stromer st2/3/5?
Yes this bike will comfortably maintain 28 mph.
@@electricavenue2204 if you actually pace this bike and test against radar you will find out the motors actually get about 26.5 mph before they drop out... its a algorithm somebody thought we needed for extra safety.... eh.

I'm convinced these R&M bikes are presently the BEST in the world. That having been said, I'm wondering where the American Henery Ford is that's capable and willing to produce similar bikes for the common people at a much lower price of say, only $ 4,000 to $5,000 dollars?????
cable management is the only thing Riese Muller needs to work on - this is their best go at internal wiring.... and it is soooooo much nicer.
Great video. Not sure "Quick release" and "Rohloff" should ever be used in the same sentence. Thieves would have a field day with those. Actually, I can picture thieves cutting the frame if needed to get a Rohloff. Heck, I had my Cat converter cut off my car in broad daylight in my Detroit suburb.

verry slow shifting verrrrryyyy.
The shifting is normally not slow at all. If your Rohloff is shifting slowly or imprecisely, it is probably that it needs a calibration. You can do this calibration yourself by pressing and holding both up and downshift buttons simultaneously while turning the bike on. Continue to press the buttons after the bike turns on and for some seconds after until you hear the Rohloff hub (in the center of the rear wheel) cycle up and down through all the gears a couple of times. During the silence that ensues, release the buttons, and then press the "M" (for memorize?) button at the bottom of the Rohloff shift control at the handlebar, holding it pressed while the bike automatically powers itself off. When the bike is turned on again (from this point on) you should have crisp, quick shifts. There's a pretty obscure set of Rohloff instructions on how to do this. And there is a video from Propel that describes this too. Hope this helps!
