Thank you Pizza for your kind words! fun , I should definitely do the "What is love" cover but it was made on the Korg 01/w FD which at the moment I do no have, but I'm sure I will soon! stay tune for more videos like this coming up
For sure! But if it's only for the organ, plenty of other options are available. It's just 4 sine waves, a clicky sound, EQ and chorus. Easy job for the opsix. Kingkorg has a ready to use sample too.
@@BellaBell_There is of course a difference, as the M1 uses samples and the Opsix is not sample based. But given how this sound is built, you can make pretty much the same. As for most remakes, in the end mix you don't notice. You could rather look at what the synth does _more_ and whether that suits _you_. For instance, I like FM in general a lot. The (old) KingKorg has a real wide spread of good sound, 61 keys and goes for pretty cheap. That specific organ then is actually a by-product.
Can I showcase your video within my next video? I'm filming a video where I transform a Korg T3 into an M1, using the same presets loaded from a floppy disk. Of course, I'll feature your channel logo and mention you in the video title "feat. #BellaBell" I will also put the links to your video in the description of my video. If you're wondering why... well, I don't know how to play a keyboard. 😋
Hey there @MVVblog that would be amazing. Can't wait to see the video when you post! Also feel free to reach out whenever you need someone to play for you, happy to collab in the future again :)
@@BellaBell_ Yes the Amiga did have it's own soundcard, the shadow of the Beast game was composed using sounds from the M1 (you can hear it on youtube) then it was sampled at 20khz according to Wikipedia. I became a fan of Korg and years later bought the 01Wfd and then the triton and Z1 which I still own. I think Korg have always came up with good innovative synths their new Wavestate and modwave sound the part.
@@jamesmacleod671 So interesting to hear! Korg Is amazing and Japanese synths as a whole. they were all inspired by each other (Yamaha, Korg, Roland, Akai) and actually were based in the same city (I think Hamamatsu). Good times
M1 has sooo great pad sounds and film atmospheric sounds - in 2024 these midrange character is also very interesting to use in modern production! I've programmed hundrets of M1 sounds. (except "real instruments" ^^) Highly recommend to program your own sounds...

Great sounds. Hearing the M1 described as vintage makes me feel really old, all of a sudden.
Right? Time flies! just means we’re appreciating the classics. Thanks for listening and glad you’re digging the sounds!
Aah the Korg M1. I miss the whip sfx from the drumkit 😂

I’m mastered the m1 with the 8 track sequencer.
Mastering the M1 with the 8-track sequencer? That’s next-level! Respect-it’s not easy to unlock all that power. Bet it sounds amazing!

Dziękuję ! Cieszę się, że obejrzałeś wideo
I lost all original internal sounds😢
Most likely, the watch battery will change easily. By connecting to a PC via a M.I.D.I. cable, you can easily load sounds.
Would definitely recommend this video:

Why is everyone incapable of playing show me love without adlibbing or ruining it.
Haha, fair point! I’ll keep working on doing it justice-appreciate the feedback!
Nothing like the M1
God I love it. This and the Triton so epic.

When I think of M1 organ, first thing come to my mind is Double You - Please Don't go. p.s. white socks are fun :-)))
Totally! The Please Don't Go vibe is iconic with that M1 organ sound. And haha, can't go wrong with white socks for style points! 😆
That was the first keyboard. I played in 1999.
So much fun :) Such a good piece
great keyboard.. i loved the choir sound.. i hated the texture feel of the casing though haha
hehe you funny😄, I will try the choir sound
Thank you!

I remember the very first time i heard the m1 and that was on the commodore Amiga game called Shadow of the Beast.
Hey James, Thank you for watching! So the M! was featured on the Commodore Amiga? Didnt it have its own sound card?
@@BellaBell_ Yes the Amiga did have it's own soundcard, the shadow of the Beast game was composed using sounds from the M1 (you can hear it on youtube) then it was sampled at 20khz according to Wikipedia. All the best.
The m1 sounds like it has a bit of reverb
Hi Roy thanks for watching! , Im pretty sure you are referring to the first song, " Show me Love". I did add the internal Delay on that one :)

KORG organ sound❤
For Real!! Thanks for Being here
I thing the M1 was the best selling synthesizer ever with more then 250 thousands units sold!
Thank you for watching and for the info
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
It was incredibly popular at the time, but perhaps due to being a jack of all trades, it's unclear what it was actually used for.
you men that it's versatility may have made it less associated with a particular genre or style compared to other synthesizers or musical instruments?
@@BellaBell_ Yes, that's why I bought the Wave Station EX that was being sold at the same time back then. I've long since sold it, though.
@@brelfpv1437I have a Wavestation. I think the sounds are now extremely dated, but I'd imagine they're mostly used for that exact same reason.

I know the Organ on the M! is Sample based. not sure about the Microstation
