I feed kefir grains to my dog, mixed in with her food. I have an over abundance of grains. I hate to throw them away -- they're alive! Ha, ha, ha Good video.

    Just getting into Kefir.
Plan to purchase the grains from you.
After making the first batch, you saved the grains.
Iowa many cycles can this go on?
How long can you keep the mixture of grains and milk?
We make our own yogurt and using the first "mother " to always re produce losses its true nature.
    Thus, need new "mother "
But, in this case, its cheap unlike the kefir grains.

Hey Redniwsaj :) we only ship in Malaysia for now, so if you're living here, look forward to sending you some of our grains! Alright, to answer your questions,
The grains can go on for infinite cycles, as long as you feed them well and regularly
If you mean the mixture of grains and milk to be the fermented kefir, it lasts for a month or more, if your refrigerator is cold, but best taken within 2 weeks.

Can I use the kefir milk for this since I don't have the grains?and can I use store bought whole milk for the production?

Hey Cynthia :) Um, using milk kefir to make more milk kefir may be a bit tough, it's not like making yoghurt. You may perhaps manage to accomplish that, if the source milk kefir you're using contains bits of kefir grains, but it would be way more effective to use kefir grains :D I'm sure you can purchase it somewhere, or ask about on Facebook :D perhaps someone you know brews and they can contribute some of their grains :D And yes, you can use store bought milk for production, but choose a good one, best to be fresh milk.

When taking a break, we keep the grains in milk and store in fridge, yes? Let say its only been siting in the fridge for 2 days, to resume brewing, can i just take the container out to room temperature and brew as is, or do i have to replace the milk?

When you put it in the fridge to hibernate it, don't put so much milk, just enough to submerge it. But when you take it out to start brewing, it's best to sieve out the milk and start with new milk. Hope that helps and sorry it took so long!

How do i make the milik grains?

@bbaharein1 Nobody knows how to make them. Nobody knows how they first started growing.
Ask everybody if they have some to share with you. Or order them online. Best of Luck!❤
