  • The opportunity to transforms ones life circumstances by utilising compassion especially, must be emphasised.
    In this video I share my thoughts about how I see the biggest piece of work in living an enlightened life that is, laying the foundations and creating the right environment for practice.
    Although compassion specifically isn't one of the Four Buddhist mind changings, I consider this video the final instalment in my 3 part series.

      This is almost every where we’ve swam in our South Island road trip, minus only a few. 😃

    Very insightful, inspiring and your voice very harmonious. Needed to hear this right now. Going through trauma and depression right now, so this is very helpful.
    I've started the Wim Hof method and it helps a lot. Cold showers and when the lake is cold, I take a swim in that. But now it's summer in Sweden so cold showers almost every day.
    🙂🌹💗
    Ps. Also have an autoimmune disease and cold baths and cold showers helps a lot! Painfree for hours. Ds.

      Sweden 😄🙌🧊 🇸🇪🇸🇪 Hej Hej ☺️ We’re in this struggle together 😄 I’ve had a random lull in my mental health recently. I think we’ve just got to keep the ship 🛥️ sailing and we might get through to the other side ☺️
      My hear got out to you 💛 I also find getting into the cold waters very alleviating. And you can also find some moments of clarity in the mind when it’s really cold and then I ise that to try to find some clarity when it’s not cold aswell 😆
      Hoping for happier days soon 🙏

      I’m also curious - does it ever get lonely living in the van away from people? Do you still happen to meet people other than your partner?

    • @SonamHoani
      @SonamHoani  Год назад +2

      That’s a great question :D, I actually find it very relaxing being with my partner because I can be my most complete self. But living on the road, everyone we do meet is very kind and you share the similar understanding of what the lifestyle is like. I miss being social maybe a little bit, because I really look forward to catching up with old friends when we can. My partner and I are talking about going back to her corner of the world and I will be more alone there, until I learn the language so I wonder what that will be like sometime. But, in nature I quite like being a lone and having to focus on being present and developing my thoughts to share on here, because there’s nothing else to do… That sort of reclusive monk-like life is still appealing to me and with teaching meditation online I get very ideal social interactions for myself where I’m always talking to people about my favourite things :)

    based on what I have seen in the video that you have but seem to have forgotten to mention that having a partner on your side that you love and loves you back might also be very good with all of this, which is a privilege not everyone has, not to also mentione the possibility of leading such a life

    • @SonamHoani

      I believe partners and the circumstances we inherit can be an integral part in our lives. I don't really talk about that in this video, but I have other videos and ideas on that content. 😄
