I like your attitude towards companies trying to get you to promote their stuff and you staying true to yourself.
Nice one. A man after my own heart.
Thank you very much for the positive comment!
I get not wanting to "work" for companies and all that, but if you got a sponsorship or 2 just think of how much more funding your projects would have. Just my 2 cents.
Project Farm Try and make a gas engine a propane engine so you can run gases threw and engine like map gas hint hint
retrorestore its really great of him. Too many on RUclips are in for the money alone. To me integrity is a lot more important and he has a lot of that.
You should try for our next project. The CRC intake valve cleaner, see if that will work and if it does clean the carbon buildup.
The slow motion scenes were pretty cool!
Thank you very much for the positive comment!
Can we get more of these?
have a safe and happy christmas
Not to mention the cutaway is pretty cool for those that wonder what goes on in an engine when combustion is occurring
The "double-puff" actually allows you to see the pressure-wave that occurs when the exhaust valve opens (travels about the speed of sound or 1125 ft/sec) and the flowing exhaust gases which travel at around 350 ft/sec. Nice!
add moonlight sonata to any slow more footage and its instantly emotionally dramatic....great job!!!
Thank you very much for the positive comment!
Yup.. .brought tears to my eyes...
lol
@@ProjectFarm to be
@@ProjectFarm i wonder if the sea foam would be aggressive against the joins, seals and other materials inside a carburetor?? I’m planning to put sea foam in my carbutared Jetski, hit me with your thoughts please
"A Neighborhood is left in pieces after man tried to run a lawn mower engine on pure nitroglycerine. This was uncovered after the live feed of his video was discovered. in the video, the following can be heard: "Over 100 000 people suggested it in my comments so now we HAVE to try it, I have 10 gallons of pure Nitroglycerine here, let me just pull the co.." A small crater was found where his garage used to be, also, there was no traces of carbon build up on the remains of the lawn mower"
Great point regarding nitroglycerine!
Thanks for the late night laugh 😂
satanclaw funny but BS. Just like "EXTREMELY FLAMMABLE JET FUEL!", which also can't melt steel beams. Nitro must be compressed in order to cause a detonation.
Pure nitroglycerine can be set off with relatively little shock. Hitting it with a hammer is enough. Trying to start an engine with it would be more than enough to set it off.
satanclaw thanks for the laugth mate!
WD40 always advertises 'always another use', so why not see if it'll run an engine? Also Merry Christmas!
This is a terrific recommendation--thank you!
u should do that
also, you should try and see if you can use wd40 as oil (I mean, instead of oil, or mix it with oil).
Doing this will definally score the cylinder wall while damaging rings. (Did this when I was younger)
JohnnyQ90 just used WD40 mixed with nitro fuel to run a small rc nitro engine. ruclips.net/video/SDB8ZoEgwks/видео.html
I like that you aware of the cost and loss from selling out, and instead you remain true to your goal. That is integrity. It is more.
A key to a great life is: walk a good path.
Thanks for sharing!
I've said it before and I'll say it again, thank you for being genuine. I appreciate all of your tests and projects for what they are. I also appreciate you showing that the world doesn't have to revolve around politics and money. Yes we all need money in this society but it's very refreshing to see someone put their own ethics first.
Thank you very much for the positive feedback. It keeps me motivated to keep making videos. Thanks again!
I wish I could remember the source. I thought it was an MSDS sheet from many years ago, but I could be wrong... I did some cross referencing (10ish years ago) and figured out that Seafoam was mostly Naphtha. I thought at the time the called it heavy petroleum distillates. Id be curious to see an engine run on Naphtha (vs Seafoam).
I have since used Naphtha as a carb cleaner. I was told by a gentleman in the set design business that naphtha is very "hot" as in it can damage rubber or similar parts easily (it will melt urethane foam IIRC). As such its wise not to leave pure/high concentration Naphtha in your tank/lines for long. Fill>>>run it out>>>refill with just gas. I think I see improvement. YMMV. Thankyou for honest and comprehensive tests.
edit: google SEAFOAM MSDS 2010; it has a better breakdown.
it has CAS #'s to help identify the blend.

if I sent you some crown batteries could you do an independent review vs brands like interstate and trojan, I am a crown dealer so me posting videos are obviously bias assumptions but I could donate some batteries and even help fund some of the project to find out what battery truly is the best
utahtrailerrepair@gmail.com
I was thinking a "show down" like you did with the oil would be fun, obviously how you demonstrate is up to you
Everyone here appreciates your hard work and great attitude. I think I speak for everyone when I say thank you for not being a sellout, and just having good honest enjoyable content. And Merry Christmas.
Thank you very much for the positive comment. Wishing you and yours a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
The level of thoroughness and impartial analysis is unparalleled on every video I've watched. Thank you for all your hard work. I wish I could give a million thumbs up, you deserve them. Take care👍
Thanks!
Props to you for not selling out and staying independent we need more people like you. Great video as always
Thank you very much for the positive comment!
He should run for president, imagine a guy like him in the Oval Office. Then again... to get to the Oval Office, there's quite a bit of selling out one has to do.
Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas!
I love watching your videos and the information you provide. I wish you and your family a great Christmas and a wonderful new year.
Merry Christmas as well!
I know this is an old video and you may not even see this, but I just wanted to say, like so many others have said, that you are SO GOOD at what you do here. These tests are so great. Informative, entertaining, enlightening, safe and thorough. I really enjoy them. I think I’ve watched 90% of your videos. Thank you!! 👍🏻😄
Wow, thank you!
that was awesome. I really like the slow motion parts. Good job my friend.
Thank you very much!
I second the WD40 idea.
Also have you considered moving the choke plate after the engine warms up to see if it causes more normal/stable running with some of these less volatile fuels? I wonder if they just need a large amount of choke to start up but once the engine warms they hit vapor point and run normally?
Merry Christmas to you and your family. Keep up the good work!
Thank you very much for the positive comment and great suggestion on moving the choke plate after engine warm up. Merry Christmas to you and yours!
One of my absolute favorite RUclipsrs, love your independence and trustworthiness when it comes to testing products out. I watched this because I was curious about using Seafoam on my surging snow blower, wasn't 100% sure it was a good idea, but I think now it's worth a shot. Continued thanks from a longtime subscriber!
Thanks and you are welcome!
Just watched this video again. It is great to see the passion you have for your presentation and channel. I hope that passion remains these years later. I enjoy each video and am always sending links, posting links, and referring back to videos myself to make sure I'm on the right track. Thank you so much for what you do, and being independent.
Thanks and you are welcome!
Merry Christmas! I'd Love to see just 2 stroke oil used as engine oil and see how it does with lubrication and engine heat.
Merry Christmas and thank you for this recommendation!
The exhaust smoke in this video, reminded me of the time I put 100% 2 cycle oil in the crank case of a 4 stroke engine :)
I am a mechanic and have been for 23 years and I really like what you do !
Thank you for the positive comment!
I like the fact that you don't show bias with your reviews. It may not make you extra money, but it shows your character. Great video! I was curious if this stuff would actually run an engine. My partner and I were tempted to try it, now we don't have to. This really is a good product.
Thank you!
An idea for a video: does sparkplug type make a difference?
There's different plugs like copper, platinum, iridium, but then also designs like standard, multi tip, surface discharge (tipless) and so on
Great video idea! Thank you
cmdr_scotty I love this idea
Project Farm does it ?
And different brand spark plugs
based on my experiences copper conducts best but wears out the fastest. Iridium can give you the finest tip though which seems to translate into a more consistent spark and better combustion. They also last longer. For perspective I chose bosch plugs for my japanese car over NGK solely on how fine of a tip they offered. Drives amazing. I'm not Bosch groupie or anything but in the spark plug department they delivered for me.
Love your comment about not interested in having a supervisor or boss, you march to the beat of your own drum, I respect that.
Thank you!
will it run on lighter fluid ?
Thank you for this recommendation.
Kartul2 yes
Yea try wd40 and lighter fuel butane and petrol
^This
isn't seafoam essentially just lighter fluid?
This is one of my favorites of yours to date. Beautiful touch with the Beethoven!
Thank you very much for the positive comment.
Your awsome. You are pretty much the only person on youtube not trying to make money with sponsors. Good job! It helps us the viewers to know what works and what doesnt work. I appreciate the work you do testing things.
Thanks so much!
You should try a mixture of everything you have and run it through an engine 🤣
Thank you for this recommendation!
Project Farm I second that idea a mixture of all the leftover
I agree.
Fuel cocktail wap sounds great!
And mix all the oil supplements afterwards and see how long the engine will lasts
You’re my favorite RUclips channel, because of the guy you are. Keep on going!
Thank you!
Your "no paid review, no politics, no top-down pressure" got me subscribed, though I was already watching your vids !
Thank you!
This film got me all choked up... not sure if it was the music or all the smoke but I started to cry a little.
Thank you for commenting. I'm having a lot of fun with the slow motion and music selection.
One of my favorite people on you tube . I enjoy your genuine hard work , and genuine approach to keeping it interesting, informative and fun........why isn’t this in the curriculum in school
Thank you!
I would love to see if using acetone actually cleans your engine or perhaps if it could run off of it? I would think it could its very flammable.
Thank you for this recommendation.
This was really interesting test i was always worried if i mixed too much in the fuel if it would hurt anything. Thanks for the vid.
Thank you
The only genuine person on RUclips, it's an absolute pleasure watching your videos. Thank you
Thank you very much!
I thought I was watching a Snoop Dog concert with all that smoke Ha Nice video. Keep up the good work
Thank you
If you look closely the mower was doing O's
Why did this video have 91 dislikes? Your awesome man! Love your videos, keep up the mechanical tests, I love learning new knowledge about products and what it does to engines.
Thank you!
Aldrin_wrx_ probably all Mystery Oil investors. 😂
91 dislikes are the lawnmowers.
I love your integrity. It's a reason why you are one of my favorite and respected youtubers.
Thank you
Seafoam is great stuff. Also great is the Moonlight Sonata. My favorite classical piano piece!
Thanks for the positive comment.
One of my favorites, too :)
Thanks for all the time and effort you put into your videos.
I have learned a lot following you.
Especially about additives.
Some seem to do as claimed but most are nothing more than snake oils.
I share all your videos as well and have had some great feedback from my friends.
All the best and I hope you reach 1 millions subs one day.
Thank you
2.7 million in 2022 👍❤️
You have what many youtubers miss theese days. Honest Man. Keep it up !
Thank you very much for the positive comment!
Merry Christmas and try using soap as oil
Merry Christmas and thank you for this recommendation!
Dawn and maybe a mixture of Dawn and gas to see if it would clean the combustion chamber.
Another great Project lol, a lot of questions were answered forsure !!! love your content buddy ! your simply a great guy .. Keep em coming your viewers love this stuff !!!!
Thank you very much for the positive comment!
Dude, the internal camera AND slow-mo of the combustion sequence alone was phenomenal. What's your background? Engineer? Props man. Props.
Thank you! I do a little bit of everything.
I loved the moonlight sonata, I think it's very good for the slowmo.
Thanks!
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!! Here's to another year of incredible videos. Check out concentrated orange oil as fuel, it's extremely flammable and may work in a combustion engine. It can be considered a biofuel.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Wishing you a prosperous New Year!
You sir are as genuine as they come. Respect.
Thank you!
All these "what if" questions i think of when it comes to engines. I can usually find it on your channel! Love it and keep it up
Thank you!
Definitely like the fact that you aren't pushing products! Real world results, or lack thereof, speak volumes. Have a great day!
Thanks for watching! You too!
Try olive oil or cooking oil for gas or for oil in the bottom end, keep up the good work merry Christmas
Thank you for this recommendation and Merry Christmas.
PROJECT FARM IS NOT A SELLOUT!!
Thank you!
I was half expecting the engine to be spotless, polished, primed and painted after running straight seafoam. Good work!
Thanks for the feedback.
Merry Christmas!
I love the slow motion shots. It really makes the exhaust look cool. Keep up the great work!
Thank you very much.
If I could like your videos 5million times I would!!! AWESOME! Always looking forward to new videos from you.
Thank you very much for the positive comment! Happy Holidays.
Project Farm very well deserved and Happy Holidays From North Carolina where it's still hot! Lol
I love that wooden cylinder heads and the cutaway engine are on display in the shop. Hats off to your ingenuity and to the brave mowers that have put their lives on the line in the name of science
Thank you!
Really nice slow mo takes !!!!. You forgot to run the mower to see the power (probably no grass to cut ... I guess). Merry christmas !!!
Thank you very much for the positive comment and Merry Christmas to you and yours.
I remember when motherboards had that "24hr burn in" sticker on them all the time.
Looked to burn clean ! Good vid!
Thank you very much for the positive comment.
Love that you wont be bought out by sponsors. And keep it 100 percent true and honest. Keep up the good work brother.
I appreciate that!
Do the same with fuel stabilizer
Thank you for the recommendation.
Actually, Seafoam IS a fuel stabilizer. That’s mostly what I use it for!
What if you hooked up a pure oxygen tank to the air intake? How would that affect efficiency?
Thank you for this recommendation.
It would likely melt the piston. You would have to change your fuel jet to one about 5 times richer to make up for the fact that air is only 20% O2. Also it would have to be a very large tank valve and regulator to flow that much O2.
But on the bright side it would then be a 30 hp lawn mower
its gonna go very lean very fast like, basically what dry nitrous oxide shot kits do
@@supboy666 Different than dry N20, because the energy it takes to rip the oxygen atoms off the nitrous molecule is what cools the intake charge even more than atomization of the nitrous fluid. Compressed O2 adds lots of combustion energy but not as much cooling.
the metal in the engine would start combusting. You can make diamonds burn in a pure oxygen environment.
You know... I wish other channels were this pure... like... they're always selling out and altering results just to make that extra dime, but all you ask for is viewer support to keep this channel going. You make even, well thought-out tests, and in return, you just want to be informed, and see other people informed, from what I'm seeing in your, sometimes goofy, yet informative videos.
I really enjoy this channel, and seeing new videos on my dashboard from this channel always makes for an interesting video to have in the background, or foreground of what I'm working on. You've really helped me understand some products I've been questioning, and secured my choices on others.
To sum that up, I really enjoy the channel, keep it up.
Thank you very much!
I feel like I'm just in this dudes garage qnd he's showing me some shit
Thanks for watching.
slow motion awesome
Thank you very much for the positive feedback. I'll be including a lot more slow motion in future episodes.
This has got to be the most positive RUclips channel ever! Didn't see one negative or stupid comment. My question is did you try mowing a section of grass with the sea foam fuel? Does idling vs running the mower change the way it reacts as a fuel?
Thank you very much for the positive comment. I wish the grass was still growing where I live but it's dormant. The engine lacked power and wouldn't have ran very well. Great question regarding idling vs running higher RPMs.
0:55 that feeling when a lawn mower has better compression than ur bmw m3
Thanks for commenting.
Oof
See if the engine can run on lighter fluid
Thank you for this recommendation.
OMG I'd love too see that XD
I have the same question I'd love to see that video
@Gumiho Yeu trust me Marines had tons of idle time at the end and could probably light a cigarette with a flashlight battery and 2 wires .
@Gumiho Yeu haha ! Yea battery's are really fantastic 🔥 making devices. Probably a hundred different ways to get one going, many of those hilarious
Good man.
I like your ethical stance and that you operate independently. That's why I subscribed.
Keep up the good work
Thank you!
Will a gas engine run on top fuel (nitromethane)?
Roger Aydin would love to see that or Cam 2 100 octane or C16 116 octane.
Thank you for this recommendation.
yes but if its tuned to run regular 87 octane will cause sever carbon buildup
all of these cleaners and additives are all made from about 95% the same stuff.. petrochemical volatiles, alcohols , ketones and aldehydes..all are combustible petroleum derivatives.. i cant say they will all combust at normal working temps... but if they give off fumes, the fumes will ignite.. some better than others...doc johnny
This is a great point!
This is crazy never would have thought this would work. Keep it up with the videos man i love them!
Thank you very much for the positive comment.
Run unicorn blood from the Harry Potter universe through it.
Have we done jet fuel!!!!! I need some xplosion in my life
Not yet. Thank you for the recommendation.
Jet A and JP4 are just refined Kerosene.
I absolutely appreciate your values! I have stopped watching channels because they let themselves get bought off because just making videos like you do wasn't enough. Please keep doing what you're doing!
Thank you!
I've ran my 6.0 powerstroke diesel off of 100% sea foam
Cape Cod Canal Fishing your 6.0 actually runs? Wow...
FlatBroke612 yup 2006 f-350 Harley Davidson bone stock on motor with 180k never had a problem with it yet
Cape Cod Canal Fishing
Bone stock is why.
Smart man.
You’re probably familiar with that shop in Georgia that bulletproofs them then, the channel name slips my mind at the moment but I’m subbed.
The ol 7.3 was good , the 6.0 can be made good by his methods but if yours is reliable leave it alone
MrTheHillfolk yes I know the shop your talking about, people will travel thousands of miles to get the work done there. I only have a turbo back mbrp exhaust, never had a tuner on it. Only use motorcraft powerstroke diesel oil, and regularly use some kind of fuel treatment, oh I also use rev-x in the oil. Probably why I've never had an injector issue. Regardless I still have to think the egr is near the end in its life, that's just really uncommon for that not to have gone yet...idk we'll see lol
People always hate on 6.0's, but those are the people that do not know how to maintain them. They are also probably the people who throw big HP tunes on a stock 6.0 and whine like a baby when it blows.
Synthetic vs mineral oil!!!! 20w50 mineral oil is going to kick synthetic ass!!! My experiece says that mineral is lot better for these engines and oil has to be really thick.
Thank you for this recommendation.
Merry Christmas! Thanks for being transparent in making your videos with no help from companies trying to sell stuff.
Merry Christmas and thanks for the positive comment!
looks like every honda civic i see around my block 😂

Super high props for your closing statement! I respect the hell out of you man, and I subscribed to show my support. Keep up the great work, and dont stop being you.

This is as good of a place as any to say this. Project Farm is the most trusted channel on RUclips for me. Not only does a good job, but will also take constructive criticism learn from it and change things for the next video. You really should have your own line of merchandise.
Wow, thank you! Go to project-farm.com to see my merchandise.
You are some type of a guy to spend your time and money the way you do. Great job
Thanks 👍
God bless you brother for standing your ground free from these manufactures so you can be free on your own analysis and be truly independent. You are sure doing a great job and keep it up.
Thanks, will do!
I was going to say thank you for being unbiased, but many others beat me to it, so I’ll say, just keep the videos coming and I’ll keep watching.
Thank you very much!
I really appreciate what you do. As Kevin ball said, having your unbiased videos to learn from is a great thing. Keep it up! Great job as always!
Thank you very much for the positive comment.
With a Seafoam lawn, mosquitoes are gone! Mower smoked on Seafoam but ran well. With the main jet drilled no choke required. But then it would only run on something like Seafoam. Another great video!
Thank you for the positive comment.
I was amazed at how well that the seafoam cleaned more carbon buildup even though you had used the wire brush it even removed more and after all that smoke it left no deposits or buildup absolutely amazing.
This leaves me with the idea that running seafoam through the fuel system is really a great idea I was thoroughly IMPRESSED.
Thanks!
I have learned a lot about what a small engine can handle on this channel and look forward to seeing more videos
Thanks for the positive comment.
As always, excellent work. Always very non-biased and I appreciate that.
Thanks!
Really enjoyed the clear engine plate and piston move with combustion. Very high standard testing and quality trust worthy results. Keep up the great work!
Thank you
I wish there were more people like you around these days! Cudo's to you my friend. I watch all your episodes and have told many friends about you!
Thanks so much!
Always watched, but never subbed. But you not caving to money and pick enjoyment of your channel has earned my rare sub and definitely my humble sharing to people as interested in this type of channel as I am. Keep up the great work, and thank you.
Thank you
I really prefer your cadence and volume in this episode for some reason. It seems much more conversational than some of the older videos. Keep up the good work!
Thanks, will do.
Thanks for not falling into the corporate trap! It's one of the reasons I like your channel.
Thank you very much!
Classical music and slow motion exhaust. Perfect!
Thank you!
Another interesting touch you added: Slow motion scenes with appropriate background music. Awesome. I really enjoy them.
Thank you!
Excellent channel. I wish the media was fair like you. Imagine how great our nation would be if more folks were like this gentleman
Thanks so much!
During the summer of 2016 my old lawn mower started smoking bad. I've had it for at least ten years. I thought the motor was shot. I poured some Seafoam in. It ran the rest of the summer with no problems. I used it this last summer and added some more Seafoam. It might have many years left as long as I have Seafoam. I love this stuff.
Impressive! It's a great product!
