Your long rescues are worth every second. We get to see what the hardest work is like. I still think these are exactly the kinds of videos that need to be shown on full blast on huge screens around the world. People need to learn just how horribly we are treating our planet and our cohabitants. And, as always, THANK YOU for the work you do to save these wonderful animals.
Absolutely!! The garbage is horrible, do they still dump barges of garbage in International waters ? Incineration would pollute the air but it can't be as bad as this ! We def. need to get some big brains working for better solutions.

Both rescues were hard to watch. The second seal was such a good patient and really did seem to understand you were helping. I can't imagine the pain the first seal had to feel dragging that cable on the sand or in the water making the line choke him and cut him more at each movement. Thank you all for your patience, your minutiae and your empathy.
You guys are nothing less than animal heroes. It might not seem like it all the time but I think every animal helped knows you helped them. Keep on with the great work.

Imagine being slowly choked to death by that line, then trailing a large cord which would get trod on by other seals, only increasing the agony! God bless you warriors!! Wally's hand was awfully close to the mouth of the first seal, I think the pup understood that you were helping him.

Poor little pups, both were really good patients allowing the amazing seal surgeons to perform their very delicate operations. I'm sure that #2 realised what was happening and that he was being helped. Thank everyone.
This shows clearly what happens with entanglements if they stay in place: they begin to cut deep and lead quickly to death! Both these seals were on the edge, in the danger zone! And the camera work here was perfect, allowing us to see how carefully you must work to make sure the job gets done right! You cannot help but smile at Tony's reprimand to the little victim: "No flipper out; you know the rules!" Great job! An awesome team effort! Kudos!

I am sitting at the edge on my seat, eyes wide open, breathing slowly, trying to not make any noise, listening to all you say while performing "basically" surgery on these pups and adult seals. I wish I was 50 years younger and try to volunteer with you guys. What you do is just amazing.
I exhaled a big sigh of relief at the same time the line was cut and that poor pups body quickly expanded back out to normal. What horrible pain and suffering these two puppies endured. Thank you OCN team for rescuing them! ❤
I'm surprised the seal was still so strong since the fishing line was almost totally overgrown. How was he able to swim and dive and hunt with that power cord weighing him down? I don't think he would have lasted much longer. So thankful you spotted him and cut him free in time.🦭🌊♻️🙏

That little piece of gill net, that weighs almost nothing, did almost as much damage to this seal as the power cord weighing down the fishing line did to the other seal. Thankfully, despite being in so much pain, he was a very good patient so you could remove it as quickly as possible and send him on his way to heal. 🦭🙏

That was the most devastating and most rewarding rescue yet. My tears are nothing to what these poor pups must have been feeling. Now these have freedom to live long hopefully not to get tangled by humans disregard for nature. Thanks for your dedication.

Another day, more amazing rescues! To witness the coordinated efficiency, skill and amount of care by the OCN team, which come from so much experience. Am always moved by the glimpses of the 'knowing' eyes of the little ones who seem to comprehend the effort being made on their behalf.
