I'm so happy to see SHINee Sherlock! There is a saying that K-pop performances are divided before and after Sherlock. It's been 10 years, but it's still a sophisticated and amazing song. It's nice to know SHINee.
Shinee is one of the greatest Kpop groups of all time and are known as the Princes of Kpop and the Idols of Idols. Check out Sherlock live at their 2014 concert. Also their recent hit Don't Call Me is iconic. Also, Shinee Taemin is a very popular solo artist and his latest hit Advice should not be missed.
The thing is you watched the dance version of MV, hence there was no girl and no storyline :) If you watched the regular MV (which has much more views btw) you would understand the title Sherlock. That's why the title of this MV is "Sherlock (Clue & Note)" If you were to listen to the album you would see that they are two separate songs, but when combined they become "Sherlock." So, in the MV you hear the mashup of the two songs. (Just like with SuperM's new song "One (Monster & Infinity)") In the MV the boys are Sherlock-like detectives who are looking for clues in the spooky mansion to a mystery of stolen Jewelry. What you just watched was the performance version MV, so it just focuses on the Choreography, but if you watch the regular MV, you will see that there is a "ghost" girl -- who is played by Jessica Jung, the former member of Girls Generation -- who is helping SHINee solve a mystery by leaving them clues. As the title of the song indicates, SHINee are supposed to be Sherlock-like detectives, so the choreography has been designed to give them Sherlock-like poses and to show them investigating clues, and taking photos, etc. That is why they do that Sherlock Holmes-style exaggerated march, and why you see them kneel down and draw a line of the floor, and why they hold their hands out like they are snapping a photo, etc. SHINee are one of the most iconic and influential groups.
