I was watching Manny for years in the AL East when he was with Baltimore. Whenever he came to Toronto, I had to see him play. He's even better now in San Diego 😍 He has a cannon for an arm and a wicked bat to match. Enjoy him brother 💙

Machado was more valuable to the padres than anyone else was to their team. Without him, the padres wouldn’t have made the playoffs; they may not have even had a winning record. Even though he didn’t win the award, Manny Machado is a true MVP.

I’m comparing the first sentence of OP. IMO nobody carried their team harder than 2nd half Judge. They might not make the playoffs even with their amazing first half without him.
He's come such a long way man 🥺🥺 I remember back before I was a big time Padres fan, I saw some of the videos like "biggest hotheads/jerks" in baseball, and you'd be hard pressed NOT to find Manny in those videos. I thought to myself, "would hate if we had someone like that on our team." I now eat every single one of those words, this man has done so much and will continue doing what he does in epic fashion. Here's hoping for MVP next year 💪💪

Manny played well all year. He was our only consistent player. He did not do well in the playoffs though. Not sure what happened there. The Padres STILL need a FIRE player to lead them. Manny is generally too mellow to be that guy.
In the 2022 playoffs he batted .271/.327/.583 (.910 OPS) with 4 homers in 12 games. He was elite in the playoffs.
@@c_s_b_9_4 In the LCS against Philly he batted .238 with 2 rbis. and THAT is one of the reasons the Padres didn't go on to the world series.
Yes, he did GREAT against the Dodgers hitting .357 .471 .643 1.114 but Manny always kills the Dodgers.
Unfortunately, he batted .231 in the wild card against the Mets with only 3 rbis.
Don't tell me he was "elite" in the playoffs. lol. I watched every game.
