    Pivetta...attitude, Cora corrective action.
    Pivetta was pissed on the error and outwardly showed it. Not like Devers did it on purpose. Straighten out Nick, we need to be cancer free if we are making a run. That was a teaching moment for Pivetta, Cora must of thought, "How can I break this guys balls". Yank him after 4-2/3. Ooh that hurts. Move forward boys, that's why the rearview is smaller than the windshield!!!

      @charliel - Agree 100% - Pivetta needs to chill out and try to figure out how/why he gave up 10 Hits, 7 ERs in only 2 2/3s IP to the lowly Colorado Rockies two games ago - Probably the WORST Red Sox starting pitching performance of the Year & there have been some bad ones + Pivetta BOMBED in ATL, MIL, PHI & OAK games BIG-TIME...!! So, Nick, work on your pitching and let the fielders work on their fielding & STHU - Better give us solid 6 or 7 IP next time with low Hits & Runs allowed Dude...!!

    Why is Cora pulling his starter when he's one out away from being eligible for the win? He's only thrown 70 pitches, is coasting in the 5th, and you yank him? No wonder Pivetta's in a mood. Team wins are, of course, the priority - but personal W-L records still matter to these guys, too. Maybe teams don't have to spend spend spend all the time maybe just trust in your young players and see where it goes. I don't blame Pivetta for being ticked off! Devers is a great hitter, but an absolute bad news bears clown as a fielder. Devers needs to be the everyday dh, enough is enough already. For every good play he makes, he commits 3 errors. Get a true 3rd baseman out there already! And Cora needs to take that kindergarten teacher "lesson" elsewhere!!

      You aren’t the smartest fan are you? Devers has 8 errors in 97 games this year, has made brilliant defensive plays, and he hasn’t cost us a single game. Sure Pivetta can be pissed, but it was nothing in the grand scheme of the game

    • @alt777-in9lw
      @alt777-in9lw Месяц назад +3

      Devers has at times been a liability at third but seems to be working hard to get better and he is. Wade Boggs had the same issues when he came up but worked hard to become a very good third baseman.

    • @JeepTJWheelin
      @JeepTJWheelin Месяц назад

      @@alt777-in9lw I agree but unlike Boggs, after working diligently to improve, you rarely if ever saw Wade look like a bumbling idiot like Devers so often does on routine plays. Devers is an amazing, albeit an unorthodox hitter, but he's never going to be a stellar 3rd baseman. And his baseball IQ is suspect at best. He's a chubby kid and once his youth passes, he's going to be even sloppier and will inevitably be the Sox everyday dh.
