In literally 3 episodes I've learned so much...Like you can do so much with just the Oscillators and Envelopes it's unreal. So much easier to understand than Sylenth too because it's so visual. You need a Patreon.
The popularity of presets suggests that most producers aren't interested in sound design, just instant gratification lol. Good point though, this series is excellent!
@@nastynate9529 not to mention they're probably cracking it anyways so they didn't pay the 189 so they probably just think "ehh fuck it I'm done with it imma just delete it" after failing to synthesize a specific sound. For those of us who paid for it, we rly tryna learn it cuz we paid may as well 😂
man, I've learned more in three videos than I've done an entire semester of school. thank you so much for these, even tho I'm 2 years late to this video.
Honestly at first I thought ''To Master Serum'' was a bit of a stretch but after 3 episodes I honestly feel like a wizard already. Can't wait to watch the rest, amazing series man, hats off
I'm finally getting over this mental block I've had to dive in and dissect Serum and man this series has made it a great way to break down everything so it doesn't seem so daunting. Loving it so far.
You definitely know your stuff. This is super in depth and the best tutorial out there. I usually work with synths from a Alternative Hip Hop type vibe but its amazing to learn about how to make all the EDM synths and how amazing Serum is at producing such a wide rage of sounds. Great tutorials. Thanks.
Whats up Ninja! Hands down brother youre the best teacher ive found for sound design. Thank you! Huge fan and will be watching literally any content you make!
you are the man. i love your tutorials .you make things so clear . think i've learned more about making my own sounds in the last few weeks watching you than i have in the last 2 years ..big thanks
Mind opening. I've bought masterclasses for serum on Udemy, got the definitions with no understanding how to make sounds. I'm back on RUclips and I find this gem of a series... This. Is. A. Ma. Zing.
imagine going to masterclass to learn serum. you learn shit like this by actually experimenting and creating your own sound after learning the bare fundamentals.
Spectacular series and by far the best tutorial on youtube. Shocked this doesnt have more views. Thank you very, very much you are an excellent teacher. I will support you with a purchase when Im ready!
I really really appreciate your share thank you so much i am grateful Actually because of your videos you take to another level Eventually thank you one more time you deserve all the support from me
Envelope 1 is usually for Master, other envelopes are most of the time used on filters only to shape the sound or create movements, think of ADSR while applying in knobs as how would you play with the knob in reality.
The weird thing is that I've heard people use the term "attack" in the opposite way, and I think that is actually the standard way, especially as a general musical term. Like if something has no attack, then it will sound very smooth and would be useful for pads, risers, and atmospheric effects. A lot of attack means that the "start" of the sound is very obvious. It "attacks" your ears, in a way. Or if I were to tell a mix engineer that I want a bit less attack on the initial transient of a snare, he would put a bit of a fade on the audio region going in, so that the volume of the initial "hit" is slightly less powerful (or he could just EQ the snare to do this). Anyway, apples and oranges.
I guess so. High attack on compressors gives more smack as you are letting the initial part of the sound through while the rest gets compressed (reduced in volume) here it’s different.
first of all , I love how you use metaphors in all ur vids haha , but still can't believe not in the millions on subs tbh . you go so in detail , thanks for all that hard work you put in to help others! we all appreciate your work. viva Mexico culo
At 13:12 when you change the warp range to below the knob's max, how do you get it to warp down? When I do it, the little blue ball only goes clockwise rather than counter-clockwise. Great tuts btw
for anyone wondering, you gotta press shift to change range of envelope of this parameter and to reduce its range, had difficulties figuring it out myself.
I just wanna say...YOU HAVE THE BEST SERUM TUTORIAL ON RUclips. It literally doesn’t get better than this
In literally 3 episodes I've learned so much...Like you can do so much with just the Oscillators and Envelopes it's unreal. So much easier to understand than Sylenth too because it's so visual. You need a Patreon.
This tutorial is amazing! You are a very good teacher!
Such a great series, I'm surprised this doesn't have more views.

I'm not. We have been bred to have a short attention span so all these videos at 20+ mins on average can be intimidating. 😅😂

@@growingoaks yea, had to split the payment and everything the month i bought it, money was thin.
