I'm 56 years old. My first favorite band was the Beatles and that lasted until the 70's when Emerson, Lake & Palmer finally took the top position. Then I discovered Frank Zappa and the Mothers and Frank occupied my top spot until I FINALLY discovered Gentle Giant around 2010. I have no idea why it took me so long to find GG but they have been my favorite band ever since.
Not knowing that it was impossible to make something perfect still better, Steven Wilson just have it made.
RIP Ray. You'll be missed.
Steven Wilson is a production genius.
Anything Gentle Giant is fine by me I,ve been a fan since 1970, Steven Wilson does an amazing job on albums that are already classics in the prog genre. I have a saying there's prog & there's Gentle.Giant. 🎶
WARNING: NEVER give a 3d animation software to a progressive rock band !
The Apex of Prog bands.
Minnear & Ray Shulman are musical geniuses!
Gentle Giant's masterpiece remastered by Steven Wilson. The best thinkable combination.
They really beat Genesis to the punch while out Zeppelining Led Zeppelin here.
Probably the most underrated and most underappreciated band of the prog era.
A marriage made in heaven GG and Steven Wilson
Can finally hear everything clearly. Rays bass was never mixed as well as this.
GENTLE GIANT, ARE A GREAT PART OF MY LIFE, SINCE THE BEGINNING......LET'S SAY
Basslines...Ray, great
There is no other band as Gentle Giant. They are the greatest.
The best damn rock band ever! Especially live.
That first instrumental break with Ray and Gary playing those fast, bouncy lines in unison is so cool!
Cool, just discovered this band and they are funky as hell.
For many decades I've listened to albums by various bands and became convinced that if the production had been better the bands would have been more successful. One band in particular is Man. I had all their albums lost count of how many times I saw them. Similarly, with Gentle Giant. Yes the music is exemplary and unique and that can't and never will be taken away but this 'reworking' by Steve Wilson 'addresses this and bloody hell, something that you thought couldn't be made better in terms of a listening experience most certainly has.
