    Yes to use these tools in your artist account though you have to have over 5000 streams, for artists starting out you can't use these tools to increase your fans unfortunately.

      in total or on one song... I really hate that giant wall on every platform where you need an insane amount of streams or watchtime or followers to get features that should help you get there in the first place!!! they don't seem to realize how hard it is if you're an actual small artist to get the ball rolling... cause you don't have the tools to get the data you need to be taken seriously in terms of pitches, press release, epk, etc you don't have data to speak for yourself... it's not all about the numbers but it is if you actually want to get anywhere

    Fantastic video. Just subscribed. Can you tell me, in your experience does it make more sense to enable discovery mode for, every song possible, a lot of good songs, or just a couple great songs? I can't tell if I'm spreading the push thin, or if I'm giving each song a chance. So far I've been conservative and pushed every song it lets us which is like 40 tracks. But I'm wondering if it might be better for me to just push our top 5 or top 10 songs. Since you've used the feature for a long time I figured you might have some insight! Thank you again for everything, gonna peep your other videos now!

    • @thejuicemusicshow
      @thejuicemusicshow Год назад

      Let us jump in on this. We would suggest having a full album of minimum 7 songs out. Chose 3 singles (max) to prioritize your campaings off for the next album. This is because, in case a booker for a venue comes across your song and they decide to check you out, they need to see that you're able to performe for at least 30 minutes or more. They don't know your unreleased back catalog. They can only see what's OUT and they'll judge on that behalf. So.. Don't waste too much money on your first "album", but spend your time wisely on (max) 3 singles on your second album.

  • @MichaelHensen
    @MichaelHensen Год назад +7

    Chris, one thing I don't understand though about some of these posts is... You have about 5 videos more recently that refer to other artists as "Small or Tiny". What exactly does that mean, if you are trying to help artists regardless of how big or where they are in their career??? I mean, if you haven't had a Billboard charting hit, are you a small or tiny artist?? or what do you mean by small, is this some specific status set??
    All I'm saying is, these seem to be truly helpful videos... which many I've seen are, as a performer/songwriter/producer, but seems better if they are coming from a place in which it doesn't matter what level you are at in your career, because if you are an artist with decent viable music.. that no matter what, big, medium or small.. there is a place for you to prosper and do well with your music. I'm getting that is your general take, but I feel like some videos just seem to be.. aiming at a particular "Level" and for me as an artist who has performed over 2000 shows for free, not to include 1000's of paid performances over the years sometimes seems a little less transparent.
    What you do is amazing, and many artists in your position are offering zero help for up and coming artists... so please know, the information you've shared I greatly appreciate and I'm not saying anything about what you are offering - but in a day when a single artist is playing all the instruments, mixing, mastering, promoting, tiktoking, IG posting, Facebook Live, RUclips Live, contributing to community, working separate jobs, helping other music people during open mic sessions, and the 100 others things some of us continue to do.. (i'm also doing a college radio promo where I've promoted 65 artists to college radio, and now I'm working with playlisters /non paid ones/ as well as indie radio to help promote artists all while running an indie label too) it can seem defeating and tiresome too.
    So, sometimes it's a bit off putting when some of us see, the words small or tiny to pinpoint a status of a particular musicians/perfomers career.
