Music and Craic at Fleadh Cheoil Sligo, Ireland 1990

The traditional Irish music festival was such a success in Sligo that the town is hosting it for the second year in a row.
RTÉ News visits Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann in Sligo Town, where 110,000 people have descended on a music-lover’s paradise. Some three and a half thousand of them are musicians entered into the various competitions, but the rest are there for the music and the craic.
In addition to music events, there are competitions for children to promote the Irish language and a hospitality committee especially for the foreign visitors.
