What a great call by John Sterling!
Much better call than Michael Kay because he knew it was gone off the bat. Kay hesitated, paused, and didn’t give his traditional “see ya” call. He was very unsure. Great Job John!
Agree 100%. Kay did not seem to know it was going to be a home run.
Michael Kay and Ryan ruocco are just two clowns screaming like banshees at a baseball game.
No substance. Just noise.
Good. Glad a legend like Sterling has the best call over a shill like Kay.
His Facial Expression when he realized it was gone was awesome!
Stering should retire already. He's demented.
Sterlings eyes lit up. 🤣 never seen anything like it before. Awesome!
Glad to be alive to see New York mark history. As a met fan congratulations.
"THERE IT GOES!" Epic
DEEP LEFT. IT IS HIGH. IT IS FAR. IT IS GONE!!!!!
I hope that Sterling a monument at Monument Park at Yankees Stadium. He is great.
Great Job by Judge & amazing call. Case closed.
Even when there on TV, I will opt for the radio broadcast as I love the way John "paints the game" with his broadcast
Omg that was awesome! Congratulations to Aaron Judge for breaking the AL Home run record, and thank you John your home run call was entertaining and memorable once again!!👏👏👏👏♥️♥️♥️♥️
Such an amazing job by John. People will be listening to this wonderful call for DECADES to come.
As a Mets fan and a Yankee hater I'm happy for Judge he seems like a pretty good guy
John is a legend 🎙️ he’s not gone but I miss him already
Goosebumps EVERYTIME I listen to this!!!!!!!
Goodness Gracious! Of all the dramatic things I've ever seen, Aaron Judge hits it into George's bawx
This is great I love Sterling’s HR calls and congrats to Judge on setting the Major League record not counting the steroids era, coming from a Mets fan.
At least Sterling didn't f up the call
his face when he says "gone"
Case closed!!! Awesome call
Legend worthy.
Legend!
Can’t get enough of the Sterling cam
Aaron Judge is going to be honored in Monument Park. Great Call John Sterling!!! Case closed. #99
Well deserved the true single season homerun king
Goat
All the feels ❤
Legend
The jolly Roger?
Maris
@@benuerz153 I think Ted might be wondering when Maris was jolly? He was given such a hard time by MLB and by Yankee fans, who wanted Mantle to break the record, that he often looked stressed out and was. Perhaps Sterling has invented a new nickname for him that he would have used had he been calling Yankee home runs in 1961.
John Sterling is a Yankees Treasure.
Put him in Monument Park ASAP..
The Passion is so good.
He Loves Baseball. He Loves the New York Yankees
Happy John got this moment
👏👏👏👏
He holds his hand over his left ear the whole game?
where was Susan?
Nelly was there, yomkipper
Matthew's reply was a bit terse. Jeff Nelson was filling in for her, and no, she wasn't eating kippers somewhere. She was celebrating Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, the holiest day on the Jewish calendar. She must feel terrible about missing the broadcast, but it shows her devotion to her religion.
In George’s box

Better call then that shill Michael Kay
This guy is horrible. Yanks should be embarrassed to have him representing their team.
he's 83...he was great in the 90s and now he's on the verge of retiring.....lay off
@@dwedge914 didn’t enjoy his broadcasting when he first came to the Yanks either.
It’s entertaining and not value, you listen to him while you are doing something else, not like you hang on his words well most times
This guy... Aaron Judge or John Sterling? Seems to me that Aaron Judge represents the team. John Sterling represents WFAN, his employers. The putative replacement for Sterling in more and more games next year is Brendan Burke, who has done a good job in the games where he has filled in this year. Ricky Ricardo (not _that_ Ricky Ricardo) know his baseball, but he is too loud. While it is good to know how to pronounce Hispanic players' names correctly, it sounds like this is his primary goal as a baseball announcer, who when he sits in for Sterling, is doing the games in English. Ryan Ruocco is awful at play by play. His strength is in discussing the game and analyzing it, at least for baseball. Maybe he's great at basketball play by play. I don't know.
If Sterling decides to retire, and there would be good reasons for him to do so after this season, which has been more exciting than recent Yankee seasons, I'm with Burke, though I will miss the silly Sterling home run calls. It's like watching Laurel and Hardy or the Three Stooges over and over again, knowing what jokes are coming ("David John makes long gone," etc.) and still anticipating them and chuckling at them when they arrive.
What I don't understand about the comment above, though, is what was so horrible and embarrassing about _this_ call? FD superstar didn't explain, just gave his opinion. As a result, I have no idea why I or anyone else should agree with it. I thought Sterling provided excitement for the radio audience, and I listened to the game on the radio live before watching this rather irrelevant but amusing video, since he is a radio, not a TV broadcaster.

GivesAShit what you enjoy?
this guy makes me almost like the Yankees ...he's great !!
Sterling one of the worst announcers in the history of baseball. Another awful call in the books.
