The Maris family is all class. The one thing I feel sorry about is them having to be trotted around and waiting to see their dads record get tied and possibly broken. Has to be hard on them. Still, Aaron Judge is a class act for how he has handled the whole chase. Congratulations to him for being a good player.
I think they’re probably relieved to see the number matched and surpassed by someone not juiced out of their mind.

It was not against the rules to take HGH when bonds, mcguire and soso was playing so those records should absolutely count. The pitchers throwing to them was also juiced and using sticky stuff.

Why is an AL record getting so much media attention? The most homeruns in mlb is what counts. And this has far surpassed 61.
Because the record of McGuire Sosa and Bonds were all done with steroids and the records are null and void which is why they won't be giving any Hall of Fame speeches anytime soon.
Because the AL has always been considered the superior league.

It's the equivalent of saying who has the most hits,rbis, steals, etc in the AL ever. I've never seen this. It should be the MLB overall stats that matter. It seems to be an attempt to degrade Barry Bond's record.

Cus bonds and all the others were using lots and lots and lots of gear so for a man to hit the most home runs in a single season without using steroids expecailly if the number to beat is 61it is a big deal people try and down grade what judge is doing it pisses me off tbh
Instead of calling it the Hall Of Fame, why don't they call it the Hall Of Lifetime Statistics. After what he did in '61, there were only a handful of players more famous such as Mantle, Mays, Aaron, Clemente & Koufax. And as for him being washed up as a Cardinal, didn't he have more ribbies in the '67 WS for St Louis than anyone else when they won the championship?
Sadly, Roger Maris SR is NOT in the MLB HOF.
