  • I got to ride with Phil Gaimon for 4 days around the Yosemite National Park area. He came to Bass Lake to steal a couple KOMS, ride some new roads, and film some killer footage for a travel show.
In this cycling video with ex-pro Phil Gaimon, we ride through Yosemite National Park and have coffee by the fire. I cook him dinner and then day 4 he SMASHED my home town climb.
Cycling with Phil Gaimon was amazing! Much fun was had. This is This is the part 2 of the story with Phil Gaimon. Enjoy!

Phil's sense of humor is extremely dry/deadpan while Tyler is always over-the-top enthusiastic (in a good way). I wouldn't think their personalities would mesh so well, but everyone seems to be in great spirits. Loved the video!

Side note about his hose pipe running for 30 seconds. 1 cheeseburger takes 660 gallons of water to make. Him being vegan sorta makes up for him leaving the hose on for a little too long calm down. its a drop in the water compared to the big problem, but is just easier to see it as a waste for most people

What about that damn waterfall wasting millions of gallons of water straight into the dirt. We should shame waterfalls until they stop it. :P
And while we're on the topic that view was beyond amazing.

You looked so upset in the first about things not going perfectly, but you shouldn't. you seem to be a great host and somtimes sh1t goes wrong! (although, socks, I mean C'mon...) You're videos are pretty inspiring at times both from a cycling part and family. Phil seemed like such a down to earth genuine dude. Thanks so much for taking the time to publish this stuff dude. Great job 👍 looks like you guys had a lot of fun and nicely done with the KOM in Yosemite. It’s not all about being super serious, looking at numbers all day. Some books I read on pro cycling they don’t smash all the time, that would be counterproductive. Once you have done your job just pull over and ride easy to the finish. It saves energy for when it is needed. If you try and smash everywhere your zone 5 becomes zone 4 because you are always tired (actually something I picked up from GCN)
