I have profound respect to the instrumentalists of the band for being able to keep their incredibly oddly timed parts straight in their minds, and to the vocalist for being able to write effective vocal parts over such strangely timed instrumental bits. You go, Entities.
Right now I can see myself listening to this album when i was in High school, trying to do good, trying my best. Headphones in, World tuned out and just feeling comforted by something that was made that i felt so connected with. It is truly a gift. Now, in 2024, I blast that album at work or in study session like right now. I want to feel the affirmation in the music that I can accomplish so much like when i was that young boy, full of hope.
I still fucking love this album so much. Been listening since it came out! I need more like this! Rebirth is awesome, but the vocals give it that aggression I love.
I remember the first time hearing the sequence in "Streamlined" that goes from 22:45 to 23:12. I didn't know what to feel; I almost just teared up. God I love this band.
This has got to be one of my new favorite bands. I actually discovered this album by accident the other day, and haven't stopped listening! ...forget all the genre classifications, this is heavy, head bobbing, and melodic, all wrapped up into one package. Super rad.
Lines of Descent.. I love Entities melodies. I can't describe it, these guys have an awesome formula when it comes to Guitar writing. The guitars just sing in such technicality and emotion. Just awesome stuff.
I'm so glad i stumbled upon this band. There is finally a lyricist that can keep up the phenomenal instrumentals, unlike many of the copy and paste bands out there, these guys do it all right. all around great stuff :D
go to see them live. buy a t-shirt. merch at the show is the best way to support a band directly. you know the money goes straight into their pocket & their gas tank, not just to the record industry. (this is true of any band that's not mainstream yet)
Buy merch through the band's own websites and promotions, Facebook, etc. Merch at venues is often bumped up by about 40% to pay for booking, venue costs, and venue owners, things like that. Not saying that bands don't get a share of that cash anyway, but it's cheaper to buy a $15 t shirt from their own merch webpage with a few bucks shipping than a $25 tank top, $45 sweatshirt, etc.on tour where a chunk of that cash goes directly to bookers. 'Course the bookers gotta stay in business too, so what the hell am I talking about.
Better yet, don't buy anything, just give them $20 as a tip. Let them keep their merch to sell at another show. Most bands have a tip jar at their merch table. I'm sure they appreciate anything you can give, even if it's just a joint :) Many times I'll just toss the band some cash, hoping they will spoil themselves with an extra snickers bar at the next gas stop or something haha
Dat bass tone is massive haha and the ghost notes are unreal... The droney melodies and samples & extremely tight rhythmic groove and perfect snare/kick/cymbal mix has me reminiscing so hard fuck I love this band so much so many hours spent screaming my lungs out to this in my car while on deliveries and smoking in the car with my buddies and bandmates cranking this and head banging to the drops and constant groove
Someone get me a neck brace!!! The timbre of the Vox is so forceful and haunting. As always it would be nice to hear SOME singing, but the music is so well composed that i'm not complaining. The engineer did such a good job making sure that the intricate parts were well pronounced. I wish the vocals were a bit louder at times when the ambient parts take over... This is definitely going in my playlist rotation!
Duplicate layer, flip vertically with the move tool (shift + click center of selected layer, then right click for options), set a 10-15px feather radius on your marquee selection tool and cut out the bottom to give it that faded look. If you use a stroke/border on the outside, make sure to rasterize the layer because it'll look awful if you don't.
Reminds me of Modern Day Babylon with the radiant background guitar parts, but they are their own respect in ever other way, fucking sick! Imma have to put this in my metal collection!
I would without a doubt put this on over structures/northlane/volumes. They just get super sick the whole time. Not hating on those other 3 though maybe this is just new to me. I literally headbang to the whole album. Bravo entities
actually im not new to metal haha xD. djent is actually my favorite "genre" even though its really not a genre. volumes, veil of maya, the human abstract, and reflections are actually my favorite bands. i just honestly think this dudes high screams sounds almost exactly like the vocalist of thy art is murder. his lows, no. but his highs yes. its just a opinion to me lol.

this is such an underrated band, the vocals, the guitar work, everything is astounding.
Mmmm 170k views isn’t under rated. It’s about right . But you are correct about how good they are

I listen to this album every day. Holy shit. Lines of Descent and Streamlining are just phenomenal.

God I love this band.
Glad you pointed that out. Now I've been listening to the same 30 seconds of music on repeat for 2 days. And no, I'm not complaining.
Bro I love that you felt it too . Entities has a special place in my heart right along side with “the brain dance” by AAL
loving this band so much still
This has got to be one of my new favorite bands. I actually discovered this album by accident the other day, and haven't stopped listening! ...forget all the genre classifications, this is heavy, head bobbing, and melodic, all wrapped up into one package. Super rad.
Still one of the best
Entities was one of the best djent bands out there; very underated.
Lines of Descent.. I love Entities melodies. I can't describe it, these guys have an awesome formula when it comes to Guitar writing. The guitars just sing in such technicality and emotion. Just awesome stuff.
"The sky is only glistening BRING FORTH CHANGE!!!!" your music has inspired me thru all the shit going on in my life right now, thank you Entities.
This is still one of the best albums I've ever heard. This band deserved so much more
I love this so much. I totally nominate this as 2013 EP of the year.
I'm so glad i stumbled upon this band. There is finally a lyricist that can keep up the phenomenal instrumentals, unlike many of the copy and paste bands out there, these guys do it all right. all around great stuff :D
This is how I like my djent.
Just revisited this
Clean as ever, vibe perfected
Thanks dudes
love the video description. I couldn't agree more about the musicianship of this EP. all of it is superb.
Love these guys! They are very talented and know how to keep it groovy! Good upload!
i don't know why but i can't get enough of the part at 19:37

always been a favorite part of mine as well, and the outro of Hadean.

Fr
one of the sickest bands ive heard in awhile... def downloading the album!
Yeah, these guys are seriously out of this world with the spacey-groove shit they make. Just fucking UNREAL how talented, unique and amazing they are.
I don't think I've missed a day of listening to this album when I got it months ago.
Ike activates Aether.
It's super effective.

RUclips stinks.
You don't say
They don't tour yet. They're still trying to get permanent members.
Better yet, don't buy anything, just give them $20 as a tip. Let them keep their merch to sell at another show.

My favorite EP ever. I have listened way too many times.

Easily one of the dankest EP's in the history of dank EP's
Definitely loving the new material.
This is incredible!
Such an amazing unit.
Still bangin' in 2018!
I love this
BEAUTIFUL
Jizzing everywhere I love it especially with a big bag of OG kush

I remember when this was released and it was all that I listened to over and over. those were the days. have they made new stuff?
Matt Drums They broke up around earlier this year
Thank you for this amazing EP! =D
been jamming this so much
This album is wonderful. Good job Entities.
Damn. Yet another good example of electronics in metal.
i smell alot of Veil of maya influence here ! i like that
smells great
and periphery^^
HAHHA how do u hear clean vocals and emo singing with this band periphery is new age nu metal
I don't hear any Periphery, mainly Veil of Maya and After the Burial.. That's good though, because Periphery sucks ass.
this band is something else just found out about em today boutta cop all their merch now

SUPPORT FROM CHILE!!!!! THAT SOUND IS SOOOOOO GOOOOOOOD!!!!
My head : *BOOOM* Nice work guys! Nice djent :D
I agree! A couple of bands I've been getting into lately are Aviations and Substructure
@iLld0pe lyrics are on our bandcamp!

Streamlined in a goddamn master piece
Too awesome for words!
also the production of this album is incredible
You guys sound how I wish Born of Osiris would've sounded after The New Reign.
If they don't blow up all faith in the music industry as well as the people who listen to it is lost.
These high screams sounds like early sirens and sailors, which is good. lol
Awesome, something to fill the void that Substructure left.
such amazing work!!
2000to2100 omfg ahhhhhh
Three beginning of Hadean never seizes to make me jump when I have earphones on
Third song sounds like a mesh between Periphery and Animals As Leaders! Cool!
I didn't know they had a new ep , :D
This. Is. Amazing.
Reminds me of Modern Day Babylon with the radiant background guitar parts, but they are their own respect in ever other way, fucking sick! Imma have to put this in my metal collection!
this is mind blowing!!!:)
Anything Djent will sound like periphery but there's nothing wrong with that.
For some reason, this band has always reminded of the music in the game Brute Force on Xbox.
i just found this. quite frankly its good. i was expecting the run of the mill. very mashuggahish aside from being djent.
Listening to this song I feel like I'm floating through space in a Viking boat.
dj0nt
Ladies and djentlemen, death grooves from the future's past~~~~~~~~~!!!!!!
Good shit man, well done
Veil + Messugahh + After the Burial
Brady Johnson i would try to find a band with those stellar melodies to put into your description
just insane
I would without a doubt put this on over structures/northlane/volumes. They just get super sick the whole time. Not hating on those other 3 though maybe this is just new to me. I literally headbang to the whole album. Bravo entities

Yowza! My brain is kicking the back of my head.
Great photoshop work man (and also of course Entities is amazing), how'd you do that reflection effect on the cover art?
Dat groove.
actually im not new to metal haha xD. djent is actually my favorite "genre" even though its really not a genre. volumes, veil of maya, the human abstract, and reflections are actually my favorite bands. i just honestly think this dudes high screams sounds almost exactly like the vocalist of thy art is murder. his lows, no. but his highs yes. its just a opinion to me lol.
