I'm hella hyped. I wasn't able to get into the test last year, so I really really hope I make it into this one. As an Arknights lore enthusiast who has been playing since day 1, this is like nerd nirvana.
I guess the Devs didn't think that the worldbuilding in Arknights was massive enough, so they just had to expand to space but im glad its still connected to Arknights lore
As a 3 years player of the OG AK i can say the Story its Crazy fucking good, and the musics in Game is top tier, if i may have a tip for you is to listen to the CCs Lobby theme
That red haired girl in the trailer that you’re simping for is Laevatein in AK Endfield (Surtr in original AK). She’s not a dragon girl, she’s a Sarkaz. Sarkaz are based on all kinds of mythological creatures, and usually have horns and a tail (though not always). Some people might call them ‘demons’, but frankly that’s an inaccurate term since there are *actual* demons in AK.
Just think of Sarkaz as having physical entities that has evil features (but not entirely evil, they're mostly just lost due to being categorized as evil) from vampires, banshees, liches, wendigoos, gargoyles While 'demons' in the current game are akin to our world's christian demons like the ones you see in the movies. Kinda like spiritually they're there but can still manifest themselves. Also you won't be disappointed on the Sarkaz race designs since they've got really really good wife materials
Welcome to Talos-II. As a longtime Arknights and PGR player, let me hit you with some factoids. They will absolutely be spoilers. But ultimately, the alternative is reading a few paragraphs from me, or going and immersing yourself into a game with a story rivaling that of PGR's own length, and far more complex world lore. We currently do not know how far in the future Endfield takes place after Arknights. Estimates from 500~1000 years have been estimated. How we arrived at Talos-II isn't just a narrative mystery, but a scientific one. At the end of the event "Lone Trail", it was revealed that the planet Terra was protected by a powerful barrier called the Starpod. The Starpod distorts the sky and makes objects blurrier and harder to perceive than they should be. It prevents all attempts to reach space... or for anything from space to touch down. The barrier was briefly punctured during this event by an incredibly powerful laser beam array meant to be used as a superweapon, revealing the Starpods existence to Terrans. It is unlikely the Starpod was breached either. A more likely way that Terrans left the planet was by using one of the portals located at the north pole or south pole of the planet, which both directly facilitate travel between Terra and its twin moons. From these satellites, Terrans would have been able to actually move on into the greater universe. The playable character, the Endministrator, is also referred to as "the Doctor". Whether it's actually us or a clone is another open question. The Doctor is, despite some art depicting them to be a chad, an utter wimp. Terrans are, on the whole, physically strong races- some of them particularly so. The Doctor has no such benefit, and had also been in cryostasis for 13,000 years. The Endministrator directly participating in combat is a profound change of status for them. The Endministrator utilizes weaponized Originium for many of their magically-themed attacks. Originium is a convenient energy source, but is also highly lethal and infectious. A single cut from an Originium fragment can lead to rapid onset of infection and, without medical treatment, explosive vaporization. Even after medical treatment, Originium will continue to spread and solidify. That said, the Endministrator is hardly looking for a slow death, and is using Originium for immediate and high lethality instead. All in all, a domineering weapon of choice. The Starpod was not created to keep the Terrans on Terra, but to keep an unfathomable alien invader called the Collapsals from touching down on Terra. I'll finish it off with that. I hope you enjoyed reading this, Regashu.
Wait. I thought Collapsals were just folklore demons? They are actual alien race? That is even cooler. "Dokutah" or whoever we play as actually throwing hands got me most hyped up. I wonder if we will get some Kirsten easter egg or maybe... who knows... goodbye Terra, welcome Talos II? And since I am already geeking out. I want to see lore accurate Saria in this game. I want to see her actually smash through walls. Or her clone. I dont care. Just bring my goats from AK to Endfield.
@@polackdyn Collapsals are the alien race directly responsible for the Precursor races total collapse. The reason that the Sarcophagi in Lone Trail were left sealed for over 10,000 years was because they were meant to be 'waiting' for when the Precursors beyond Terra returned and would reunify with them. That day never came, implying that the Collapsals defeated the Precursors who hadn't hidden away on Terra.

The only gripe with Endfield is a lackluster combat I just hope it wasn’t showcased properly, because AK with proper gameplay (sorry, I’m not a Tower Defense fan 😅) is a dream came true. Also the gacha element is unknown for us (I heard a lot of bad things regarding AK’s gacha system) Heck, if Endfield will mostly (or maybe fully) make my expectations, I’ll move WuWa to a side game. Still waiting on approx release date, because I want to try it by myself. It looks like a proper WuWa as for now. I ofc trying not to overhype it for myself not to be disappointed afterwards Have a good day! 😊
@ooyashi1318 AK is gacha is weird, it's kinda like nikke, rates are good, you get average 1 6 star every 40-50 pulls or so, but there's no 50-50, if you're unlucky enough you can get 8 6 stars but have none of them be who you want, this is especially bad on the banners with 2 6 star rate-ups like anniversary, half Anniversary, and Chinese new year, you can spark but it's really expensive. There're good things though, unlike hoyo, we only get around 4 limited characters per year, maybe more if there is a collab, and probably most importantly, the game is balanced around 4 stars, so you don't have a massive stat powercreep on endgame where you NEED to have a 6 star team, afaik there is only one stage in the game that is impossible with only 4 stars, and it's not even a boss stage
@@higorgabriel2598 One of AK gacha things which bothers me is reruns are either inconsistent or don’t exist at all I need clarification on that part, if you don’t mind 🙏
@ooyashi1318 that's just wrong, the only ones that don't get reruns are limited characters and collab units (unless they collab again wich has only happened once in the history of the game). Characters usually get a rate up on the standard banner 6-8 months after release, and if they're old enough (around 2 years or so), they're probably gonna show up on the store for you to straight up buy a guaranteed copy.
