This is nothing new since it was first teased but I'll say it anyway. While character switching is still a thing, but at least here they don't become shelved to some only-god-knows pocket dimension until you switch back to them. Instead, they follow you, run with you, and attack with you, etc. God Eater franchise always had this, but this is the first time I'll experience such in gacha genre. Gods, some people are already lonely in real life, why must they still be lonely in the gacha game they play? 🤣 I hope other devs take a leaf from Arknight devs. This will be a fresh experience for sure. Goodbye lonely gameplays.
The fact your team actually follows u around? Amazing! It makes it so realistic and it really gives of the feeling that you’re exploring with your team. I hope they keep it that way in the full version! I have high hopes for this game.
Endfield is basically crack for me. I love Base Building games and Arknights. In most open-world games you are simply an explorer, but in Endfield, it seems like you are actively developing it. Depending on how Hypergryph approach this, every player may have a completely unique world.
They probably need the Auto Deploy Base Factories like the classic Arknight Base did, since not all of the players gonna walk around just to put the operators to work, right? 😅
I don't think it will truly be like that. Remember that Arknights as tower defence game was probably the worst tower defence game out there. Gameplay didn't mattered at all, just your power level. Put your strong units wherever and you will win. This is still gacha first and foremost. I'm just afraid that factory building won't matter much, characters will still have to be prime influence, and there might be so many restrictions in regards to factory building, will go down to just one meta. Flexibility is not really a thing in gacha games, because you need players to want the rarest characters/weapons/items. I don't know how possible it is to marry these two concepts. As Girls Frontline 2 showed me, even if you put a strategy game into gacha, it's still a gacha, power gating will always be real for more thinking oriented games. I only played one gacha game where you can win with trash units if you are good enough - Snowbreak. But that is an action third person shooter game, where some people even challenge themselves to take the worst 1lvl characters and throw them at the highest lvl boss just for a challenge, and manage to win. This is what Endfield needs as factory building game. No level or power restrictions, if we want to build crazy factory let us grind for it even if our characters suck. Make the factory building influencial enough for us to get some proper benefits from making it efficient. But that is most likely a pipe dream. It's a gacha and will be a gacha. It looks insanely good, but I'm prepared that the gameplay will suck as hard as in the first one.

I expect a lot to them for the story since they really did cook A LOT from Reunion to Victoria arc is just... WOW And even the climax of the Reunion arc is so hype back then with how they put lots of high risk stages and more bosses for the last Reunion chapter alone
What is the point of the factory stuff? What do you make and is combat going to be a big thing in this games endgame loop or will wait all be factory stuff?
Max HP +80%, ATK +260%. Immediately throw an anchor forward that stops when hitting a target or when it reaches the maximum distance, dealing 160% Physical damage and Stunning them for 6 seconds. If the anchor lands on a deployable tile, Ulpianus will move to that tile
I agree with this comment so much that I lose 100 HP every second. Enemies that have attacked and been attacked by Hoederer receive 200 True damage every second. Attack Range +1 tile, Max HP +15%, ATK +30%. Attacks recover 5% HP and have 25% chance to Stun the target for 2 seconds.
Nah i consumes 100 HP per second and deals 200 True damage per second to enemies that have either attacked or been attacked by this unit. Attack range +1, Max HP +15%, ATK +30%, and each attack restores 5% HP and has a 25% chance to stun targets for 2 seconds
Please don't mind me I'm just Attack range increased, Trait effect increased by 2x (trait multiplier -10% for each enemy defeated), attacks hit 5 targets for 180% ATK as Physical damage. When any enemy within range is attacked by a Kazimierz Operator, deal an extra 12% of Młynar ATK as True damage.
nah but i think that Immediately recover all HP; ATK +330%, attack range +2, attack target count +3 and Max HP +5000. Gradually lose HP (HP loss caps at 20%/second after 60 seconds)
always has been, have you seen the building designs in OG arknights and even Ex Astris? They always made the best architecture in any gacha game period
Lowlight's personal interests have contributed so much to the identity of Arknights. Victoria was portrayed in such a detailed fashion because he spent some time studying in Britain, and that combines nicely with the localisation being handled by a British company, meaning that all the dialogue really fits the culture.
OMG ITS HERE! I can't wait to Consume 100 HP per second and deal 200 True damage per second to enemies that have either attacked or been attacked by this unit. Attack range +1, Max HP +60%, ATK +120%, and each attack restores 5% HP and has a 25% chance to stun targets for 5 seconds
Max HP +80%, ATK +260%. Immediately throws an anchor forward, stopping when hitting a target or reaching the max distance, dealing 160% of ATK as Physical damage to all nearby enemies and Stunning them for 6 seconds. If the anchor stops on a tile he can deploy on, Ulpianus will Move to that tile Skill can be manually deactivated; when skill ends, Ulpianus returns to his original position

I'm not sure if other players here, like me, have delved into the subtle differences and styles of modern (and ancient) Chinese culture, but in many parts of this demo video, what I see is something truly modern, beyond stereotypes and medieval (from a CN perspective) imperial era impressions. It perfectly combines technology, industry, urban life, and the tremendous development that the country has achieved in recent decades (including economic achievements and disruptive changes in all infrastructure from rural to urban areas) with traditional garden art and the concept of harmony with nature. The factory slogans, language expressions with collectivist philosophy, and modern architecture perfectly immersed in ancient spaces (in a design language that imitates classical but very modernist) are serious, rational, emphasizing grand romance but not extreme - just like the reality of China in 2024. It is the reality of contemporary China, where you can see all of this in huge industrial production facilities, deeply planned urban areas, and high-tech research institute zones, but at the same time, it is richer than that. Since the socialist era, since the reform and opening up, especially in the past three decades, it has often been imagined, practiced and achieved some results, but it is often unknown to the people of other countries. As I have mentioned in previous posts, this demonstration video has reinforced my viewpoint: HG is a company that places great emphasis on modern aesthetics but also values Chinese local culture. They are definitely not doing these things for any forced reason (such as the stereotype of 'because they are CN, they must'), but sincerely imagining the future, which shows passion, love, and dreams. As we saw in the fourth large-scale Yan Empire event, the future expectations demonstrated by the giant agricultural complex of modern planting techniques. This is a civilization's expectation for its new golden age, a new dream. Here, true creativity and a strong love for the social culture in which we live have created everything we see today, making it shine brightly. This is a truly vibrant creation. They did not choose simple and vulgar "imperial era retro" or some crude CN elements (such as cheongsam, and typical medieval villages), but based on the current era in the deep cultural construction to deduce "how we (Chinese countrymen) will exist in the next era" and found an amazing expression space for their own social culture. My original expectation was nothing more than a deduction of 20 or 30 points higher than the last technical test, but this, this is even far beyond my full score line. If it succeeds, I believe it will even have a profound impact on the entire CN Gacha industry... ---- I am willing to believe, perhaps even more than that.

I SWEAR TO GOD, please don't rush this game. The potential of this game is off the charts, and we'd rather wait for a few more months or years just to make sure it's actually ready for release. This has literally everything I want from a video game. World-building, factory, epic hack and slash combat, anime, futuristic theme, etc.. SO PLEASE, keep going, but don't rush it. Dude, it's been like 6 years already. How much more time do you want to give them for a game that can be played on a phone? It's been almost 2 years since the alpha. It's time for them to push it out. They've had plenty. You act like this is going to be some masterpiece. It's going to be a gacha. You will have to pull for 6 stars. Open up your wallet because that's what it's going to be about.
@@ryoyamada26 as someone who works in the Game Dev industry, I can tell you that *usually* a game is only classified as being in "Beta" once it's feature-complete. Which is to say, there are still things they'll improve upon between now and release-as well as post-launch, ofc-but for the most part, the core of the game won't change much from what we see now. Granted, that's just generally how it goes, and doesn't guarantee Gryphline uses Alpha/Beta in the same way~
@@cutsceneskip don't wanna bring up names here but some of the popular games of this genre had very ugly betas and there were major improvements. not that the game from this trailer really needs it but it doesn't rule out more features, systems, graphics or QoLs
Okay so one thing I can see immediately that makes the exploration for this game a top tier. 1 the ziplines looks really good. Not too fast but not too slow. Ofc it will be annoying if one just wanted to speed run the thing. 2 stamina use in exploration is similar to WuWa (only used on the initial dash). Theast part reminded me of AK's base BETA. You put someone there and collect resources. Combat reminds me of factorio. It's a factory building game but you can go to a monster nest and deploy turrets to help you fight them
@@ilno there's fast travel in the alpha test but it's for traveling into completely different mini map, the chinese like place in this demo is probably like that too, so it's not completely open world, and i prefer it that way tbh
I'm melting with all the UI and icons. With all the movement and gesture: opening up menu akin to look for their warmup/focusing routine? Then finding Shu's Farm and the Base turned 3D. How much happiness people could get from watching a gameplay demo?
I miss having people follow you around! The animation looks so smooth. Seeing that your characters are crafting stuff for you brought a tear to my eye. Also they actually move around the base! Lastly we can build and farm stuff!!
I think the combat changes to make it more action-focused will be good for making the game palatable to more people. It's also nice to see that they took the feedback of how constructing and rearranging the base area was rather troublesome to do with a physical avatar, and provide a top-down view for doing so now. And of course, the UI improvements are as stylish as ever! Also nice to see the bamboo forest biome introduced. I wonder what the lore will be for the involvement of clearly Yanese architecture (especially the pillar that is very similar to those found in the Here a People Sows event PV/CGs). The involvement of fluids is a promising addition for complexity for base design. Very happy to see the bnnuys from a past trailer. I love how the final section is revealed to be aboard the space station shown in the newest trailer, and honestly, the design of that final room and the context gave me massive Phantasy Star Online flashbacks for a second. Here's hoping to getting into the upcoming beta!
i say double down on the strategy more. identity is more important than trying to fight for a very crowded market of normal arpg (wuwa alone already shaking up the market share, and we have more in the future)
@@GozetaZero I think it's more like Tales of series and/or Atelier Ryza where you need to chain combo with your party to take advantage in the battle with managing your combat resources and choose wisely when to use.
i could hear the theme of that event when watching those man is so beautiful, hope she and the whole family comes here in Enfield too, the siblings are eternal!!!
What the heck. This looks absolutely incredible, and this is still in the first Beta? The world looks so expansive now. The hydroponics make me feel nostalgic for Shu's research - they really made a lasting impact on civilization with their advancements. Graphics are so good for a Beta too, with only some excessive motion blur that I noticed.
It looks amazing, i see significant improvement from the tech test (from what i have seen from it), can't wait to hopefully get in and play and stream it, looks absolutely incredible, good job Hypergryph!
The graphics don’t even feel like those of a mobile game anymore-they’re as stunning as a PC game. Honestly, they might even look better than the Tales of series. However, the gameplay feels somewhat ordinary. It doesn’t really give off much of a strategy vibe. That said, the factory-building system is really interesting-I can already sense how much farming will be necessary to construct those factories. As I mentioned earlier, the gameplay feels a bit plain. Since we already have four companions, it would be great if we could assign them specific roles while we act as the commander. For example, instructing the sniper class to stay in a certain position and attack from range (perhaps as the only unit capable of hitting flying enemies, along with casters). Meanwhile, the tank could take the frontline to draw aggro, while we and a guard companion team up to deal damage. This kind of action + strategy gameplay would be incredibly fun and engaging.
You should definitely send this to HG or at least to Ak Endfield official channels, cause from what we saw in this demo, they take feedback seriously and act on it.
I think they really considered this, but this RTS type of playstyle is no longer prevalent and it's not casual friendly. BUT if they give this as an option then this would be my default option.
Seeing all 4 teammates on the field attacking its a big plus, now this its something im looking forward, instead of the usual switching chars from other games. I really wanted they make combat like good ol Dragon Age games, and we may got it.
This is amazing. It looks like they combined some of the JRPG gameplay element into one and they did it so well. So we have 4 characters on-field to keep alive. I am sure that the combat is going to be engaging.
The world looks real... holy moly. In genshin city looks cartoonish and WuWa's city looks like it was just made (even if it's one of frontier one) but here you can see weather corrosion and time effects on buildings, road etc.
@@Konpekikaminari her neutral expression is cold tho, similar to some gacha female protagonist like lumine, stelle, female rover, etc, where their male counterpart are more fiery
After about 5 years of imagining Arknights story, this is like a dream come true! They really missed the opportunity to showcase these trailers on TGA, it would've been easily the best trailer and gather more attention.
It might also be because it's still in beta and they want to keep a low profile. Sure, AK community is blowing up - but anyone outside of AK community probably isn't aware what HG is cooking. Perhaps once the game nears its release, we'll see the game showcased at E3 next year to wow general audience to guarantee releasing the title on a high note?
@@justintime7577 I'd imagine that it will be showcased in the next E3. In 2058. Since they cancelled E3 and don't do it anymore. But, it'll probably be around the time Star Citizen and Endfield come out of beta.

Rhodes Island have hundreds of bases, small to medium all around Terra to help the ppl, bring more medicine and act as their forward bases to deal with issues they need to tackle. wouldn't endfield is just a more detailed take on that, one we always wonder how RI did it in the background? how they have safehouses in sargon or even in sami? we can still operate in the world by our own two feet. also the spaceship? ehh it's just RI but in space technically we still needed on the ground just like in Terra.
Can't wait! Seems like the Orb system got removed? I didn't see enemies randomly dropping orbs anymore. Looks like they focused on making the QTE system better. Also, base expansion on the new map? Base optimization is gonna go crazy. Incoming spreadsheet PVPs.
Dropping the orb system might be for the best, at least if left unchanged. The RNG factor to being able to deal more damage compared to just using characters where you don't gamble on orbs was not something I enjoyed.
Super early feedback - Please don't take away player agency/movement when a chest is spawned ( 6:16 ) - This would be frustrating to have to deal with every time. Please just play an audio cue once the chest is spawned. Transitioning to a cutscene every time adds unnecessary friction to the reward system.
in Lone Trail (spoiler): when Hool'heyak was viewing last of Friston's memory she mentioned seeing a giant 'moon' in the sky in this video during gameplay there's a jupiter like planet in the sky, which probably is the main planet with Talos being a moon of it. but to someone who has only seen the twin moons of terra it would probably look like a 'giant moon' in the sky for them man i love arknights
one of the criticisms in the previous test is the lack of emotion/expression that the character makes like angelina's old ult. Now, the devs are like "Let's make EVERYONE full of emotion". I have so many things to say with just this video alone, but I can summarize it with a simple: "Thank you, this is awesome"
Damn, it got so much improvement since the last time I seen it from the technical test. Definetly playing it as a long time fan of AK since its release.
Being able to actually explore the world of arknights despite it being a bit different kinda feels very nice Like imagine the things that you saw when playing the game and watching the anime only to see like 10% of it And now that this is coming up we can literally explore the beauty of arknights to the fullest
The Base looks so much more lively, detailed and better compared to the Technical Test, especially the character UI. the amount of improvement is just insane!!!

Thank you I was so confused the factory part
Its Gyphs we're talking about. Good story is almost guaranteed.

For lore reason
I expect a lot to them for the story since they really did cook A LOT from Reunion to Victoria arc is just... WOW
And even the climax of the Reunion arc is so hype back then with how they put lots of high risk stages and more bosses for the last Reunion chapter alone

My end regenerates 3.5% HP per second and gained 30% arts and physical resistance because of this field

So i heard Lowlight has a degree in Architecture... Hypergryph might also be an architecture company
always has been, have you seen the building designs in OG arknights and even Ex Astris? They always made the best architecture in any gacha game period
The entire Mansfield prison can literally be a good prison design
Lowlight's personal interests have contributed so much to the identity of Arknights. Victoria was portrayed in such a detailed fashion because he spent some time studying in Britain, and that combines nicely with the localisation being handled by a British company, meaning that all the dialogue really fits the culture.

WELCOME TO THE RICE FIELDS, MOTHER-
Okay so one thing I can see immediately that makes the exploration for this game a top tier.
It's a factory building game but you can go to a monster nest and deploy turrets to help you fight them
Yeah, idk if the alpha version included fast travel, but fast travelling always makes the game feel smaller in someway
@@ilno there's fast travel in the alpha test but it's for traveling into completely different mini map, the chinese like place in this demo is probably like that too, so it's not completely open world, and i prefer it that way tbh

I swear if we're gonna fight those fly ahh drone again. Wonder on how they will implement enemies and event story to this

Can't help but imagining Dragons Age Origin when you say that
Same opinion as mine 😊, i hope the approach like final fantasy 15 though
I think they really considered this, but this RTS type of playstyle is no longer prevalent and it's not casual friendly. BUT if they give this as an option then this would be my default option.

Super early feedback - Please don't take away player agency/movement when a chest is spawned ( 6:16 ) - This would be frustrating to have to deal with every time.
