Hey everyone, think the welding cart came out great. Had fun building it with the new welding equipment. *PS if your interested in this welder or anything else on the vevor store, then check out the video description for links and a discount code* Have a great weekend and happy upcoming Easter !!
ants its good to see you letting the girls learn tools. my grandfather explained the tablesaw and lathe to me at 6 or so and i was allowed to use the shop unsupervised much to my mothers and grandmothers dismay but i believe it is a major reason i tinker and fix almost anything i need to. ps insist they clean up and put tools away or no playing. thanks for the videos as always
I’m a retired welder with over 37 years experience in welding all alloys and exotic metals! Inconel , hastoloy, monel, titanium, brass, bronze, aluminum, cast iron. Copper, carbon steel and I just learned at home how to weld plastic! Plus doing blacksmith work as a hobby! I have a tig, mig and stick machine at home! Just doing hobbies and personal projects now my friend! I’ve had my Lincoln mig welder at home for over 15 years and it still works great! It’s always nice to see you fabricate different projects around your home! Your workshop is pretty nice Andris!
I am not able to understand how you continue to come up with so many excellent ideas. My brain will not provide me with the luxury of inventing ANYTHING:)
The granpa's old legvise was used commonly in forges/smithies, because there is no sliding ways as in parallel vise, to become clogged with iron scale.
Recommend putting a lock on the cutter, so they don’t show their friends. Enjoying the channel. Great to see the kids, so happy hanging out with Dad. Tks for sharing.
That bolt on back of welder is to ground metal stuff around it for example the cart that you built you just need to add wire from that screw to chasis of cart (it will only work like that if you have grounded outlet)
Happy Easter Andris, family & followers. I would think gussets to keep the legs from folding in and feet on the legs to prevent them from sinking into the ground. Take care & stay safe. PS. A safety rail around the top of the power socket mount to hold yer tea /coffee cup.
Im impressed with your ambition and skill. To tear into the guts of any machine the way you do shows supreme self confidence in your abilities. I love watching this channel and explanations are superb
That cart design rolls way better than the old one. One suggestion though ... if you were to mount both of the welders turned toward the handle end you would gain unobstructed access to the controls, be able to wind up the leads and hang them from the handles (with a couple small hanging hooks), and you could shorten the gas line lead straight to the back of the welder. You might also consider replacing the Airweld for a small generator to power the new welder out in the yard for working on the equipment so you don't need to run massive extension cords! Great job as always!
"I haven't slept today. Probably should go to bed." *starts working on the cart* This is the content I love. Things we say to ourselves, things that we all do. But watching these videos brings us much joy with his humor! Thank you, Ants Pants!
I think I would put a flat plate either side linking the handle to the top shelf, would make the handle much stronger, you could put cable hangers on it or a hook on the inside for your welding mask for example, I would also shorten the front legs slightly as it looks like its very close to the balance point and something heavy in the vice it may tip. Looks better than mine, I put 3 shelves and its slightly top heavy. Shame the plasma does not have built in compressor like some, would be ideal for the cart use.
Thanks for another build episode. I'd like to suggest you put pads or skid for the legs to keep from sinking into the ground if using outside, perhaps they would also offer a little more stability .
Always amazes me how you come up with these outbox solutions.😊 By the way, you have two apprentices. In the future will be great helpers in fixing, and changing the oil. Also free workforce, no need to pay.😅
Small note about safety: I'd suggest grounding the welding cart. Since you have the socket screwed to the metal frame of the cart with a metal screw that's inside the part where the wires are, there is a (very, very small) chance that a wire would come loose or rub through and touch the screw, electrifying the entire cart. Chances of it happening are small, but it's a small and easy addition that could prevent something nasty.
Mig welding.Co2 works, but not well.Argon works best on stainless.I use Mison25 it works great on all kind of steel.I agree about them flasks.I used to rent 20L flasks and it sucked, the rules was 5L u can buy,20L u must rent. They changed the rules a few years ago,u can buy a 10L.Did that and i never went back.
i have been whacthing some old videos from you last few days. in i must say youre english has very much has inproved. waiting for ftidays video. take care
Ok. I agree -- you pay me $700 bucks and I will take the cart - also you pay the shipping. I promise not to resale it on ebay as a authentic Ants Pants invention lol Yes I have self control issues
If you found the true center of gravity and made a place to hook a chain you would not need to drag it anywhere. Just lift it with bobcat or excavator. Or even the Soviet Tractor.
Love watching your videos. I learn something new everytime and you always make me laugh with your little jokes included. Always tuning in from South Dakota!
Might have mounted the vise to the plate and welded some nuts underneath, then weld the plate to the cart! Yeah those vise are usually made of cast steel!
That's not A bad idea you came up with about building welding carts to sale. Cause say that their usually $700.00 split your price in half for the first 90 days of You're building process. Which would make them from $250.00 to $350.00 Then take the price up to $700.00.
Vevor: Do you want some tools? Ants: Sure. But i will destroy, burn them, give them to Kirovec to eat and send them to Mars. Vevor: Excellent! We got your address, sending you stuff as we can. (Such a funny vibe from video) 😂😂
It's not nonsense, you should have a go at making and selling your own products. You know from experience exactly what would make a good welding trolley for example... And you're a famous RUclipsr, people will buy stuff just to say.. "Ants Pants made that.." 😊👍
Stick welding is not stronger or gives more penetration than MIG, you just had your settings WAY too low on that test piece. 16V is for uphill or big gaps, for the stuff you're doing I would go with 21V at least, probably even higher! Edit: that "homemade" vise is a blacksmiths leg vice for forging hot steel on while holding it. It might be selfmade but you can definitely buy them from a factory.
Hi Mr Pants. Great video as always. I was on my way to buy this. But on the Q and A section on Vevors website, someone had asked for fuse size and Vevor answered 40 A. But it looks like a 16 A plug you have there? Should run fine on 16 A?
28:22 casual killdozer reference.. ants, if you ever need help welding plates to a bulldozer just ask me 🤣 I checked, where I live government buildings don't have basements... so... im good to go. will you lend me Jospeh for one weekend? thanks in advance. and this is a JOKE if government agencies are watching this video. 😅
ESAB is a Swedish brand and gave had high Q products before. Here the battle always where between ESAB and Kemmpi. They were the only welders considered to be real Q welders before. Nowadays i dont know but ESAB Caddy is relay good small stickwelder Easy to have in the car and is very reliability and makes good job. Do not use long extension cables since that effects its result.
Great Video, like the cart. Came out really great! You might even drive it around with the bobcat, if you don't wanna drag it all over the place. Might consider putting small plates under the round legs, to reduce the risk of them sinking into the ground with the amount of mud there right now. Maybe something like 50x50mm.
Again, thanks for your great videos, and thanks for not making us watch you prepare and eat meals. (That's for guys who need off-topic content to pad their videos.)
All week I was wondering what you would be doing in this week's video, since you were waiting on the drives for the skid steer. Yay, it’s Friday. Ants Pants video day😀👋🇬🇧
please put a lock on that guillotine. thak you for the video ;)
Enjoyed it!👌🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Please add feet to your cart front legs. Those steel rods will stab the ground and sink into the ground. :). Please. It’s bugging me.
The best thing about Friday, It's Ants Pants day!
Hell yes
Hell yes x2
So i guess u are the cool uncle that every kid wants to annoy and play with 😅😂
Yup

*- I google searched all the Inconel , hastoloy, monel metal alloys. Interesting.*
I am looking into buying a Lincoln plasma cutter. Their really good
You have good worker there with you Andris….and they are crazy about you!
Happy Easter Andris and specially super mom!
I love it when you get angry and seemingly swear in Estonian :)
Hi Andris, have a wonderful Easter holiday with your family. 😃🪺🐇
You too sir
I am not able to understand how you continue to come up with so many excellent ideas. My brain will not provide me with the luxury of inventing ANYTHING:)
Too many ideas
Man, the girls segment got me smiling through the entirety of it
😅
You nailed the settings. Frying bacon sound. Add a tiny amount of wire speed at a time until you get zero spatter.
The granpa's old legvise was used commonly in forges/smithies, because there is no sliding ways as in parallel vise, to become clogged with iron scale.
Yeah, they are not cast iron, they are actually forged, so you can really hit stuff that you clamp in there without breaking the vise in half.
@@ProtonOne11 Plus the leg takes the impact to the ground/floor so you're not breaking the bench either.
That's cool
Recommend putting a lock on the cutter, so they don’t show their friends. Enjoying the channel. Great to see the kids, so happy hanging out with Dad. Tks for sharing.
*- "so they don’t show their friends" Smart idea.*
Hehe thanks. Uncle actually
Too bad that sheet metal wasn’t a pile of logs. You’d have a year’s supply of firewood from those 2 helpers. Happy weekend.
😂👍
I love when the kids come to hang out ❤❤❤ 🤗 they like learning stuff
Me too but my heart was in my mouth with them using the guillotine especially at 13:16. I could just the little one losing fingers on her left hand. 😮
They know better 😅 i hope
Methane...😂😂. I wonder how many thought he was serious as he can keep such a straight face. Have a good weekend Andris, regards to your family.
Hydrogen would have been even better😂
Mix of liquid hydrogen and methane
So glad it's Friday. Another brilliant video, Andris. Thank you, Vevor, for supporting the only decent and honest channel on RUclips
Much appreciated!
As always I enjoyed watching your antics. Thanks for letting us be apart of your journey.❤🤪
My pleasure 😊
Get some sleep man . Everyone are always happy to see kid's being kid's . Stay Well 🇺🇸
Zzzzzz
That bolt on back of welder is to ground metal stuff around it for example the cart that you built you just need to add wire from that screw to chasis of cart (it will only work like that if you have grounded outlet)
I'm looking forward to the K-700 restoration. especially what you will do in the cabin. I wish you, your children and your family a healthy life.
In the cabin? He will sit in it. It’ll be interesting and fun, but it’s not that kind of restoration channel.
On it
Happy Easter Andris, family & followers. I would think gussets to keep the legs from folding in and feet on the legs to prevent them from sinking into the ground. Take care & stay safe. PS. A safety rail around the top of the power socket mount to hold yer tea /coffee cup.
Legs are ok but one of the spare free rotating bogey wheels in the middle would be good.
Yup
The field trip was a nice touch.
75% argon, 25% CO2. That’s what we use in the US that leaves at the best the cleanest.
Same
The video we all wait for at the end of the week
Im impressed with your ambition and skill. To tear into the guts of any machine the way you do shows supreme self confidence in your abilities. I love watching this channel and explanations are superb
Thank you very much!
Hiiiii
Hey
Thank you for cracking me up and maintaining my interest…
Any time!
That cart design rolls way better than the old one. I was going to make the same comment about turning the welders around, you beat me by 8 minutes 🙂
*- Smart ideas.*
Or maybe the plasma cutter? So many options
"I haven't slept today. Probably should go to bed."
*starts working on the cart*
This is the content I love. Things we say to ourselves, things that we all do. But watching these videos brings us much joy with his humor! Thank you, Ants Pants!
😅😅😅 i will zzzz when i ded
Seems like turning the welders around would work better. No stretched out gas line and can add holsters to the handle and plug is right there too .
Nuevo video. Gracias jefeeeeee....
No prob master
Hello from the Netherlands.
thanks for the video Andris 👍.
Kind regards, Hollandduck
We enjoyed your video. Loved the time with the children.😂 Have a wonderful Easter.
Thank you! You too!
I would weld some pieces of flat metal on the front feet to staibilize it a bit more and stop it sinking in the dirt.
Cheers, Jeff.
👍
It’s Good Friday, it’s good because Ants Pants uploaded a video!
Mhmh yup
Thanks for another build episode. I'd like to suggest you put pads or skid for the legs to keep from sinking into the ground if using outside, perhaps they would also offer a little more stability .

Those girls are going to be good helpers soon. You have a lot to teach them.
Always amazes me how you come up with these outbox solutions.😊
By the way, you have two apprentices. In the future will be great helpers in fixing, and changing the oil.
Also free workforce, no need to pay.😅
I pay them in candy
@Ants_Pants Fair enough.
Oh and best thing about saturday is your video
It’s great you showing interaction with the kids.
Only 1 hr video? Hmm😂
So sorry 😅
That was breath fresh air.not very well and ants pants, saves my sanity with a brilliant project. 😊❤
So glad!
Another great day with my buddy Ants Pants. Awesome Cart.. 🤪👍
you have already bad vision, youre welder 😂😂😂
😂
Happy Easter to you and your Family🐣🐰❤️🇨🇦
Funcle Andris! Putting the fun into being an uncle 🤣
Happy Easter to you young fella and the fam x
Always!

Yup i was thinking about that. Good call
*@**13:11*
"It's all fun and games until somebody loses an eye" (or chops off a finger)
All true
Another great video entertaining learning but I would weld flat piece under the legs so they would not sink into the ground
👍

All the crazy contraptions I've seen have always involved someone's Grandpa!
The girls cutting sheet metal reminds me of cutting test coupons for our Tig welding practice during welding school.
😂
CO2/CH4 gas mix and go into orbit quicker than saying "what happened" are classic funny!!
😅
I'd put a length of angle under those rods, or they sink into ground.
Here in Florida one similar to that is $50 can carry about 100 pounds to $110 can carry about 250 pounds.
That's very cheap wonder why they are so expensive herr
Nice job building that cart. Will last a lifetime.
Hope so!
i have been whacthing some old videos from you last few days. in i must say youre english has very much has inproved. waiting for ftidays video. take care
Ok. I agree -- you pay me $700 bucks and I will take the cart - also you pay the shipping. I promise not to resale it on ebay as a authentic Ants Pants invention lol Yes I have self control issues
😂
That’s great you have kids on your channel, it’s amazing how kids just love to learn and take joy in the simplest of things with hands on.
They are very interested for some reason
You made my Friday evening, have a safe weekend. Great project.
So glad!
The mud test made me thinking "wtf iam watching right now" but I like it!! Dude you're crazy....😂
I can imagine SuperMom looking out of the kitchen window watching her son circle the house with a loaded welding cart.......
Lol 😅
Haha wtf
If you found the true center of gravity and made a place to hook a chain you would not need to drag it anywhere. Just lift it with bobcat or excavator. Or even the Soviet Tractor.
Hmm
I am fighting a fever, Andris. I must sleep. I will check in later.
Hope you feel better by now
Man AP you have those shop goblins well trained.
Shop goblins 😂😂😂
Those pointy legs will sink in mud. Might want to weld some pads on the bottom of them.🙂
Dude, whenever you build something, it turns out to be a nuclear shelter. Exactly the way I like it 👍
Maybe those tiny legs will sink into the mud? Great video though!
Mud season is almost over 👍
Love watching your videos. I learn something new everytime and you always make me laugh with your little jokes included. Always tuning in from South Dakota!
Glad you like them!
Might have mounted the vise to the plate and welded some nuts underneath, then weld the plate to the cart! Yeah those vise are usually made of cast steel!
Don't get under bulldozer on soft ground. Could crush you.
Another brilliant Saturday starts with Andris being amazing , thanks buddy , you've set-up my weekend
Glad you enjoyed it
Another awesome video. Have a happy Easter my friend.
Same to you
Weld washers on the front legs, so it doesn’t sink in the ground, you could put a trailer hitch on it to pull it with your four wheeler!
😎 will do
That's not A bad idea you came up with about building welding carts to sale. Cause say that their usually $700.00 split your price in half for the first 90 days of You're building process. Which would make them from $250.00 to $350.00 Then take the price up to $700.00.
Business plan set
The secret to penetration with Mig is gapping or grinding an angle on the material at the weld joint. A 1or 2 mm gap will triple your penetration.
Yup
Vevor: Do you want some tools?
Ants: Sure. But i will destroy, burn them, give them to Kirovec to eat and send them to Mars.
Vevor: Excellent! We got your address, sending you stuff as we can.
(Such a funny vibe from video)
😂😂
😂😂😂 seems legit
It's not nonsense, you should have a go at making and selling your own products. You know from experience exactly what would make a good welding trolley for example... And you're a famous RUclipsr, people will buy stuff just to say.. "Ants Pants made that.." 😊👍
Hmm
now you need to add a small generator on top
I'd buy one. 👍
Shout out to Vevor. They have become my first place to check a price on equipment. Congratulations on 51k subs!!🔥
Thanks sir
Hi Andris I'm assuming there's still a lot of Soviet scrap on your property.. Have fun, from Colorado USA.. 😎🇺🇸
Yup
Stick welding is not stronger or gives more penetration than MIG, you just had your settings WAY too low on that test piece. 16V is for uphill or big gaps, for the stuff you're doing I would go with 21V at least, probably even higher!
Edit: that "homemade" vise is a blacksmiths leg vice for forging hot steel on while holding it. It might be selfmade but you can definitely buy them from a factory.
I have had experienced welders always tell me that stick is slow but gets a stronger weld
Thanks for your vid 😇💟💟💟 Love and bless you Andris.
Same to you!
2:22 Worlds fastests unboxing...
TURN THE WEILDERS AROUND
Hi Mr Pants. Great video as always. I was on my way to buy this. But on the Q and A section on Vevors website, someone had asked for fuse size and Vevor answered 40 A. But it looks like a 16 A plug you have there? Should run fine on 16 A?
Yeah it runs fine on 16

😂😂
I think it looks great!!
You need to push the weld with mig with gas, if it makes slag you drag it
Nice cart!
Maybe add a small pad to each of the legs so they won't sink in the ground when using this outside?
Cheers from Oregon, USA
Philip
Yup
ESAB is a Swedish brand and gave had high Q products before. Here the battle always where between ESAB and Kemmpi. They were the only welders considered to be real Q welders before. Nowadays i dont know but ESAB Caddy is relay good small stickwelder Easy to have in the car and is very reliability and makes good job. Do not use long extension cables since that effects its result.
Yup
sometimes you just got to let kids be kids even if they use up all your good metal.
Yup
Try using acetylene as a shielding gas for E X T R A penetration.
Again, thanks for your great videos, and thanks for not making us watch you prepare and eat meals. (That's for guys who need off-topic content to pad their videos.)
That would be weird
All week I was wondering what you would be doing in this week's video, since you were waiting on the drives for the skid steer. Considering it was spring and there would be lots of mud outside, I figured it would be an indoor project like the cabin, or maybe the wood working shop. Never would I figure it would have been a welding cart...lol. Looks awesome as so many of your project you make from scrap. Have a good weekend, Andris.
Bill
Every week something crazy
I suggest you keep 2 welders. One mobile, one stationary. Sell the rest and apply the money to something else for the shop. Love the channel. Congrats on 50k. Cheers!
Cant get much for them. Maybe 100 eur? Rather keep as backup
do the next thing with an electric scooter tire, it won't be pulled or pushed, it will drive itself when you press the button
Ohh
1:02:25 nope, its made of the best invention of our time: chinesium
