They were also at LEAST $22 (I remember a $27 price tag) in 2004. I wanted one so badly but the price was just too wild, even for someone like me who loved shopping at Sephora.
They’re ok you’re just not supposed to scrub the living poop out of your face with them and only use them once a week maybe every two weeks or maybe only during a bad breakout and not all the time. I never really had acne but I remember my mom using them on my brothers back and he’d always complain that he was burning 😂
I’m still using that foundation today 😂 it looks the most natural on my skin and honestly looks better as the day goes on, I don’t know why it gets so much hate
@@melody_shmelody I think I found it target, not sure if they still carry it though after they started updating the stores. But I did see it in my Walmart the other day!
I think most of the hate is directed towards the shade range. It was super popular but had so few shades, so it ended up looking orange on A LOT of people, myself included haha. I think if it matches your skin tone well, it's probably a fine product.
That waving iron was a featured guest at my 17th birthday party 😂 The waves always looked really good in the mirror and then absolutely awful under flash photography.
the olsen twins always had awesome hair that was a million different textures at once. i wanted my hair to look like that so bad. unfortunately my hair is baby fine and stick straight lmao.
I remember buying my cousin one of those beach wave waving irons for Christmas, and she absolutely FREAKED OUT. She loved doing beach waves in her hair, but hadn't invested in one yet, and had actually talked herself out of buying one just a couple of weeks prior because she didn't have the extra money.
I wasn't into Maybelline cosmetics as much but CoverGirl cosmetics had a choke hold on me back then. I think I had the Smackers lip gloss then as well. Even though I liked bullet lipsticks more.
Omg The Body Shop Satsuma! I didn't have that exact body lotion, but I had the other products & LOVED the scent. For some reason I wasn't that into Bath & Body Works, but loved The Body Shop. I think it was a matter of marketing, like to me, I thought of the Body Shop as more nature-y & save the ocean/ rainforest earthiness vibe, while B & BW had that more homey, gingham country vibe. Lol at least that was the perception to my teen self😂
Omg that mousse foundation brought back sooooo many memories! I remember going through my mom's make-up for it every time I had to go to a party lol. Definitely my go-to for looking hot 😂
I miss the Dream Matte Mousse blush! They didn't make it as long as the made the foundation and it was so easy for me to apply. The first blush I had where I didn't put on too much and look ridiculous!
Omg I loved my Stila lip gloss in ‘kitten’ ! I also used one of those hair waver things SO much my freshmen year. Someone asked me if my hair was naturally like that. 😂 also that mousse foundation is lost on me bc I had a friend who used it and looked like an Oompa Loompa every day. Sooo orange! Haha
Matte mousse! I loved the matte mousse and there was this one mascara from urban decay called “big fattie” like they were making a stoner joke about fat joints idek why lmao but that mascara worked so damn well! My cousin bought it for me for Christmas and I cherished that mascara so much ❤
I had to have and still swear by the Chi flat iron and the makeup I used was those Bareminerals mineral powder from the elaborate infomercials. Ahh the memories.
Listen!!! I still use mine. But not near as tight and crunchy and our loose curls With it 😂 Pretty sure my old ones had like melted sizzle marks from spraying directly on it 😂
Ohh I used to use so much of this dream matte mousse make up, that I had it stuck in my brows, but obviously didn’t give a shit about my brows back then.
Yess those stila glosses…. They were so sticky too

Yeah i didn't have the money for those but I remember wet n wild or NYC with similar stuff like it I would buy.
ELF made a knockoff of them, but I think maybe they had a different tip? They looked and worked exactly the same, but were $1-$2. They were my jam.
Ahhhhh! I had all of them!! The 2000s were wild and my hair was as crispy as a dried out leaf
Lowkey Miss that era tho 😢
Not ur acc and ur user being 10 years old but you supposedly being 20+?
@@1luvsoph647 Just because there 20 doesn’t mean they can’t be aesthetic
@@godeezythebest 20+ they’re over 30 and saying slay queens 💀💀
bhh
This is my account but my 11 year old daughter uses it and changes all of the profile things. Don’t assume before you have the facts.
Omg the matte mousse 😅 everyone had a little too dark shade 🤣
Yes! My face was always orange for some reason after using the matte mousse 😂
Loool, guilty as charged
The brand started at light orange and I really feel like it oxidizes..just set up for failure 😅
I used the liquid matte foundation that came in the bottle. Never bought the mousse. Did anyone try the one in the bottle? I used it for years.
@@katlincleary1988I started using the Liquid Matte in the early 2010s, and instantly loved it better than the Matte Mousse.
Don't forget the Lancome Juicy tubes 💕
I always loved the version in little pots, Juicy Gelee. I'm still devastated that they got discontinued 😭
Loved that!
Yes, I remember using them.
Elf had a dupe of those Stila lip glosses that slapped. Used it everyday and they were like two bucks each.
Same!!!
Back when e.l.f. was a $1! Holla!
Yep!! I used those instead 🤣
Yes that is what I'm thinking I had the elf one
Miss those so bad 😢
Omg those alcohol pads! That could not have been good for my skin but I had acne and everyone insisted they would work 😭
i still use them and they work wonders for some reason😭😭
Chemical exfoliation is actually fine if used in moderation. They’re not alcohol it’s salicylic acid.
I still keep stridex on hand. They’re good for razor burn
They’re ok you’re just not supposed to scrub the living poop out of your face with them and only use them once a week maybe every two weeks or maybe only during a bad breakout and not all the time. As a y2k baby with a millennial mom shimmer lotion will go with me to the grave lmao
I remember using those oxy pads like CRAZY! And that foundation always dried orange. 😂
I’m still using that foundation today 😂 it looks the most natural on my skin and honestly looks better as the day goes on, I don’t know why it gets so much hate
Where do you find it? I’ve been looking (not online though…oops)

Lol the waving iron has made a come back

I still have my 3 barrel waver from 2007 😂 still use it occasionally too
There were knockoffs for those Stila glosses from one of the drugstore brands and I loved it.
Don't forget about the revlon lip butters 😍
I miss those
@@blackcherry07 they have them on Amazon!
This entire video is accurate and giving me high school flashbacks to the max haha
Clearasil, stridex or oxypads were all the rage for skincare lol
Omg this brings me back! Especially the oxy pads, they burned so good! Haha. I just bought a waver last year and use it all the time. 😅
OMG the burning! 🔥
Any Girl 🐒 in comment. I searching a Girlfriend Please give me a whatapp number 🌹🌹🌹
I had every sing one of those in the 2000s, LOL
the olsen twins always had awesome hair that was a million different textures at once. i wanted my hair to look like that so bad. unfortunately my hair is baby fine and stick straight lmao.
Why do I want those

I used the one in the bottle. It was she dream matte line but came in a pump bottle.
The alcohol pads! I remember thinking if it didn't hurt it didn't work. 💀💀
THE FOUNDATION AHHH 😂
not me using that mousse foundation in middle school to cover up my red-ass skin 😭
my essentials for getting ready for the Friday night middle school dance
Dream matte
Mousse ahhh the memories! I don’t think I ever actually used concealer but this did the job. So picturing my shade in my head 😄
The mousse foundation 🤤 and then powder foundation on top for me 😂
I had that hair styling tool and I loved Britney too. I also loved that mouse foundation.
THE stila lip gloss!!! 😂 memories
The 3 barrel waver still has me in a chokehold lol
My cuticle oil comes in those twisty lip gloss tubes. Sometimes the click gives me flashbacks to highschool.
Ugh that moose covered everything 🥺🤦🏼♀️
Ahhh omg the lipgloss had 100s and the mouse foundation had ! And when they came out with the blush one had that to
I wasn't into Maybelline cosmetics as much but CoverGirl cosmetics had a choke hold on me back then. I think I had the Smackers lip gloss then as well. Even though I liked bullet lipsticks more.
OMG THE STILA GLOSSES WERE EVERYTHING
THE SATSUMA ORANGE STUFF OMG
The glosses!!!! Totally forgot about those until now
Haha. I still use twisty lip glosses, but a different brand that isn't sticky.
I never could get that foundation to work for me
omg those stila glosses!! EVERY HOT GIRL HAD ONE
What about the Calgon glitter body spray, or the Almay liquid to power clear complexion foundation
lmaoo i still use the stilla glosses. the red one slaps
The mousse blush was awesome
Still use stridex pads (the sensitive skin ones with aloe vera) AND THEY WORK WONDERS!!! Seriously, with a good moisturizer afterwards??? Chefs kiss
Stila gloss my beloved, i was obsessed with them
Baby that matte mousse was a crime against us, how dare you 😂 #cakey
Omg The Body Shop Satsuma! I didn't have that exact body lotion, but I had the other products & LOVED the scent. For some reason I wasn't that into Bath & Body Works, but loved The Body Shop. Had the stila lip in so many colors!
The telescopic mascara actually shaped like a telescope

As an emo kid in the 2000s, I can confirm everyone used that mousse foundation

I miss the Dream Matte Mousse blush! They didn't make it as long as the made the foundation and it was so easy for me to apply. The first blush I had where I didn't put on too much and look ridiculous!
The lip glossesssss!!
Oh my gosh that lip gloss was so cool
i remember the dream matte mouse it was a miracle that they made my shade back in the day
Matte mousse and oxy are my go to still.
Mac Oyster girl gloss and Clinique blushes in the green marble compact was my JAM.
I loved my Stila glosses. The OXY pads, i used them in the 80’s so I don’t think of them as 00’s thing. That body lotion was really nice.
The stila lip gloss were effing amazing!!
Omg yes that foundation AND the blush. Amazing. I would use again.
I miss my dream matte mouse 😢😂
Omg yesss.. the foundation was amazing..
They still have the dream matte mouse! I've almost thought of buying it
You can still buy pretty much everything now! I'm not sure Stila makes the gloss but there's some similar ones xx
Haha
Satsuma is the greatest scent ever
All of the above plus a neon colored CHI straightener
I still love the waving iron lol. But a deep barrel waver.
And I'm back to lip glosses. Juicy tubes were where it was at.
Definitely the oxy pads and the stilla lip glosses!
Matte mousse! I loved the matte mousse and there was this one mascara from urban decay called “big fattie” like they were making a stoner joke about fat joints idek why lmao but that mascara worked so damn well! My cousin bought it for me for Christmas and I cherished that mascara so much ❤

Dream matte mousse... so good
Just bought another dream matte mousse the other day and yesss it was just as good I remembered
I had the mousse blush and I thought I was killing it. At the time no other brand had the cream blushes!
I had to have and still swear by the Chi flat iron and the makeup I used was those Bareminerals mineral powder from the elaborate infomercials. Ahh the memories.
I still use bare minerals, only thing that looks nice on me. Every liquid foundation I try turns orange or is just too dark
I never used the Matte Mousse, I only used powder. Also, those lip glosses with the built in brush, I LOVED those things.
this is so spot on i wanna cry lolol
Yep, had the dream matte mousse foundation!
Literally used that first tool for my prom a few weeks ago lol

Dream matte mousse was actually so good if you got one that wasn’t too orange or white lol

Dream matte mousse was the first foundation I had, and grandma bought it for me from Rite Aid. I chose the too-dark color though. Good times
