Supreme Court Grants Autonomy To Local Governments

- The Supreme Court has endorsed financial autonomy for the 774 local governments in the country to put an end to the gross abuse of their affairs by some of the State Governors.
The Court ordered that funds from the federation account in the credit of the councils must be paid directly to their respective bank accounts.
