Daym dude, you seem to be a mind reader or something lol, this is EXACTLY what I was looking for, an all in one solution for both file and media server so I don’t have to create two separate installations for them or run them both in containers
Excellent OS!!! So i tried follow but stuck in follow step CasaOS -> Nextcloud -> external storage I can''t mount RPI4 exteranal storage on Nextcloud... thanks
Thanks! Looks cool. I have a frogotten raspberry that could finally be useful. Is it possible to connect to it remotely from outside of network? I'm looking for alternative to google drive and photos.
Hi followed all your steps and it was great tutorial everything seems perfect but one thing I need help with is how to save the movies using an external hard drive instead of an sd card? coz when im trying to add on the media library the external cannot see the drive. but on the home screen it was detected.
Maybe try this tutorial about mounting external drives: ruclips.net/video/KA-D60qhNm0/видео.html It's not by me, but this RUclipsr has a lot of content about CasaOS
Hey I’ve been trying to connect to my casaos in my browser right after installing and it keeps giving me time out errors. Do you know what could be the cause of this?
Thanks! Here's my video on how to install Windows 10 on the Raspberry Pi 4: ruclips.net/video/WCW4KljdHhM/видео.html (It might work on an SSD, I'm not sure!)
@@Lukes-Tech No i would just not recommend it because I just installed casa Os on pi 3b+ and it screwd the entire thing os bcz of that my entire home internet connection had gone bcz I had installed pi hole on network wide level so I changed the router DNS settings now my internet connection is back and my Plex server has also gone that I had installed on pi 3b+ so now i need to reinstall entire os and other applications
@@Lukes-TechNo i don't think so that is bcz of pi hole bcz casa os was running on port 81and pi hole has different port and pi isn't botting at all it's stuck on raspberry pi os screen anyways it's fine I was going to install the new bullseye version of raspberry pi os on pi 3b+
Ah ok, thank you very much! Just getting started in all this home server stuff. Just found a semi old dell PC in my fathers house and I got CasaOS working on that nicely now. But now running into some other issues. Like all of a sudden I can't open the app store anymore where it's just loading endlessly. I'm sure ill get it solved soon though. @@Arctics04
In that case you need to set the local dns server to you router ip and uninstall Pi-Hole. You cold export you config and import later on. After that you install CasaOS and then you could install Pi-Hole in a docker container and import the config.
Do you happen to know anyone interested in doing a little pi related consulting with me as I work to overcome some PI related issues and questions? Thx
@@Lukes-Tech may I ask what is happening exactly, is it changing the desktop environment to CasaOS only or doing some extra changes under the hood but keeping rest of the OS same?
@@STORMFIRE07 I think so, I didn’t really look at Raspberry Pi OS 64 Bit after installing it, but I assume it’s still the same thing, not really changed.

Great job, really enjoyed and learned valuable information. Thanks!
Very helpful man nice project :)
I didn't know about fing, i used to go to my router and etc.
So you have a new subscriber! :)
12:11 how would I do that with an external drive? I can't get Jellyfin to see the USB drive that CasaOS automounts and can see.
arp -a on a windows machine you can scan your local net for the new device
Nice little channel you’ve got here. ;)
Thanks!

you need static ip?
You don’t have to, you can create one if you like.
Good project.. but seems buggy.. always ignoring my passed on ssh as well logging in to the browser/
Could you install steamcmd this way?
Is there a way to have multiple user and share files?
Great showcase of casaOS! Deluge is pronounced Del-yooj, it's French for washed away, in the "torrent" sense.
Thanks! Ohh ok, I didn't know that. Thanks for sharing :)
Hope you didn't mind me pointing it out. Really great content dude, very interesting and concise.
@@benandrewtyler No I didn't mind. Thanks for the encouraging words!
What desktop enviorment are you using?
It’s actually KDE Plasma that’s been customized a bit. (It’s on Arch Linux too)
@@Lukes-Tech nice!
Can't add Docker network on casaos.
you should do a video on how to put windows on a pi using an ssd drive!!!!!! great job!!!!

Have you tried migrating docker instances into CasaOS? I would like to test it but not have to start over from scratch.
Can we do this on a raspberry po zero?
Is it possible to install this OS on Pi 3B+
Yeah, I think so! I guess it just won’t be as responsive, but it should work.

How can uninstall casa Os is there anyway to uninstall it
Cannot access mounted usb files on jellyfin . Any tips on that?
Does casaos install the apps in a docker container? Or on bare metal?
Docker :)
@@Lukes-Tech thank you!
That means technically there would be no reason to install casaos in a docker itself
@@uuu12343 Nope, CasaOS is more of a docker front end, or an advanced dashboard type of thing.
What IS docker?
what os do you use
In the video I was using KDE Plasma on Arch Linux :)
How can you use Türksat satellite even though you live in America?
Because satellites are a scam and it’s all antennas 😅
Great video! Now you have a new subscriber. Btw, which Linux distro did you use on your pc?
I think KDE Plasma, but I may be wrong (edit: that's the DE, never mind then)
That’s some really cool stuff. But I can‘t think of an actual use case for me :(
casa is spanish for home
Ohh I see.
thank you so much bro😊😊😊
Can this be done on a Raspberry Pi 2b?
nah CasaOS needs more performance. You should have atleast a raspberry pi 3 to run CasaOS. Better would be a raspberry 4b
