- What does it mean to take up your cross daily and follow Jesus? More than just bearing a difficult burden, it means dying to your sins every day. But take heart - the cross also means life!

Thank you Joni for giving this difficult concept a balanced, hope filled explanation: "it means dying to SELFISH wants and desires but it also means life, joy, peace in our suffering".
It does not mean God won't meet our legitimate needs. He promises to. But it does mean He gives us wonderful things in return for giving up our selfishness. ❤
Taking up my cross daily!! Blessings Joni! 🛐✝️✡️💟

Great video!
Sometimes a change of perspective can help. You don't HAVE to care for your loved ones that need help, you GET to care for them. You're lucky to have them still in your life and should be happy that you have the ability to care for them rather than having to put them in a nursing home or other care facility. One day your loved one will be gone. Personally I would rather look back on their time and see that I was able to help them, I don't want to look back in regret. My loved ones know that they are loved deeply.
I think that it's also ok to realize that sometimes life is difficult. Age, infirmity, financial stress, there's lots that can get us down even if we generally have an optimistic outlook and faith in God & the everafter. It's ok to admit that things are "not great" sometimes, to ask for help if you need it, or even to ask for grace from another if you're just going through a particularly hard time. Living in this world is often sub-optimal, and frequently difficult. It's ok to admit that.
Living the cross in stillness helps you live now and also preparing one for death when ever it comes. Go into a cemetery what do you see?? A sea of Crosses as a reminder that we are going to die. But it is also life as we bear the pain and suffering in our hearts and bodies to transmute to life and hope. His hope and life. Meanwhile, we stay in the stillness of the cross and wait on God for His Life and Eternal Rest,
The Cross> There is no stillness like that of the grave. The grave of Jesus in sharing his death. There is rest. Eternal Rest.
Not in a literal sense as arthur
Blessit did!
