Yeah, I am absolutely pro-the-people-who-live-in-mobile-homes but anti-mobile home. I have no idea how good the construction is on tiny homes, but literally the only thing mobile homes might have going for them is being cheaper.
I think we should be just building more affordable preferably state built apartment complexes in well planned mixed use neighbourhoods. Tiny homes is a ridiculous solution to a housing crisis and just piles on more problems. Not everyone needs to live in a detached house, I'd even dare say most people shouldn't. It's cheaper per person to build infrastructure (roads, pipes, electric lines, sewage) for an apartment complex than a bunch of detached houses, easier to build well-functioning public transportation, less energy loss when it comes to heating and cooling. Best if there's a grocery store in a walking distance and other amenities-there's usually none of that in sprawled out single family deserts. Here in Poland the government barely builds any social housing and they came up with an idea of being able to build a house up to 75 square meters without a permit so people can build those cheaply as a solution to our housing crisis. Absolutely laughable.
Agreed, like only one loft needs a latter and one room is on ground level. Made better if people have small children. Maybe would be more of a hit if enough space to add a tub of 👍
