Hey Rick. Long time Rick fan, long time blind wave fan here. My name is Zack from Detroit and I am 30 years old, two years ago I was diagnosed with extreme congestive heart failure and was given 5 to 6 years to live on top of already being diagnosed with severe PTSD and anxiety. I didn’t know how to deal with my situation so I locked myself in my room and just watched TV all day alone drinking smoking and taking everything from Xanax to OxyContin to Ambien to cocaine, which is how I discovered Blind Wave and here we are today. I get severely out of breath after more than two or 300 steps and I’ve gained over 100 pounds in the last 2 years but because of this channel, today I decided to go outside and walk around my subdivision which is about a mile, I didn’t think I was going to make it but I just kept walking and staring down at my phone and watching your videos. I now have an appointment for next Thursday with a therapist & I plan on walking again tomorrow. I am not even religious but god bless you sir. I hope you realize and are able to comprehend how many people you are truly helping and remember for every one person that comments there’s probably another 10 that you helped
ty Rick! i found this book yesterday, "Book of five rings" of Miyamoto Musashi... its soo good i think you would love it too, here's a quick quote: "there is nothing outside of yourself that can ever enable you to get better, stronger, richer, quicker, or smarter. everything is within. everything exists. seek nothing outside of yourself" :) and has a lot of strategy for fighting and discipline ideas too, i'm rambling sorry, have a good day!
Your description section is almost word-for-word how I would describe myself. This gives me hope that these exercises and worksheets will help me become more introspective and will help me improve myself over time. It's also insightful to hear about your tendencies regarding habit-forming and discipline, as I tend to have similar mindsets. I have to be careful with exercise and diet, since this "obsessive" mindset fostered an eating disorder within me a few years ago. Once I developed the habits of calorie-reduction (elimination, really...) and daily exhaustive exercise, it felt impossible to stop. Thank you for sharing your story and for your guidance!
thank you Rick for this. I always wanted to do this, and never have the time to create a system like this. I like very much the section of the description, its a issue that other methods no include, and its very important to see how a percibe myself as a person and help to stay motivated, and remember why i have to change and be better. I hope this channel help a lot of people like me, i wsh you the best. Greetings from Chile
I love what you're doing, I wanna spar Rick now. Rick is such a well earned Chad, and I gotta say this is perfect for anyone. Personally I have my own route I'd like to take, but this is so awesome. I've always described myself as a "self reflection" kinda person. I'm a 20 yr old male that loves combat sports so maybe I'm biased but I think everyone can take something from Ricks views, and his discipline.
@@RWTPunches no way! much love rick! I gotta say nobody wants to be in the way of that blind wave cross or should I say the RWTP cross. Ill have to make my way to the blind wave fight club Lmao after basic.
Hi Rick, Thank you for the work that you do, it's truly selfless and amazing. I've been a fan of you ever since I came across you in a BW game night video (a series I miss very much), it's so inspiring to see the path you're taking all these years later. You've also inspired me have long hair! I wish I could have you as a real life mentor/sensei for self improvement. All the best on this very interesting journey!
Thank you for going over this, I had it already downloaded but didn't use it (partly because my printer is broken and on my phone doesn't have options to use the pdf well it's not good) so I'd didn't use it but what you said out loud I realize I need a method to focus on my goals long term and this could help apply that. This is not a big goal but I wanted to rewatch one of my favorite anime is Ergo Proxy the character Vincent resonated with me mentally but I wanted to study it as it had a lot that I didn't get but that was like 8 months ago I didn't even try yet which is something I don't want to say "I didn't try" I need to be more focus on my goals even the smalls thing like this cause it is important to me. I have acid reflux and it was bad at first making me sick from eating food and I didn't want to eat but it's actually something very helpful over time because at the same time it got me away from junk food for the most part because junk food triggered it easily and now junk food I don't enjoy often and I value healthy foods as it naturally replaced the junk I don't have a desire to go after junk food for the most part but at times it can be hard to eat because of it. I'm good at self reflecting but I'm not the best at putting it into practice which is what I hope this will help me at and keep me focused.
Berserk had a big impact on my life, so I get it. I’ve struggles with acid reflux, so I know it sucks. I was recently given a prescription which has made a big difference.
Great video once again, i filled out the journal yesterday and am already seeing it helping me, I have a question about the XP system, would you recommend giving a larger amount of XP for big accomplishments, such as completing a set of exams or reaching a larger goal that can’t be measure per minute and if so how much would you recommend
I usually modify the XP for difficultly of the activity, or by how hard it was to make myself do it. I could definitely see bonus XP for completing a goal - normally I have a subset of rewards that I give myself for hitting my goals outside of the goal system but you do what works for you!
I'm always trying to find new ways to help my students guide and reflect on themselves when touching topics like emotional intelligence. I loved the idea of the character sheet. It would be awesome if the Class part could be not so much replaced but adapted to something more "normie" for the people that don't usually play any video games, or any game in general. If not using D&D classes, would it work if other "tags" (adjectives) were used? For example Parent, Teacher, Engineer, Son, etc.
I love the idea of using it in the classroom. If you’d like me to make one more “normie” friendly for your class I’d be happy to. Be happy to talk about lesson plans ideas too. If you have Twitter or Instagram I’m Archmaster7, DM me. If not reply here we’ll figure something out.

Role With The Punches, cool name!
Maybe milestone leveling could be used alongside XP tracking? Both methods have benefits, and using both might have a greater effect!
I like the idea of gamification!

Gamification… pretty cool huh?
@@RWTPunches absolutely!
👍
You did say this was an alpha version, I just found the video and its 1 year old, any updates?
Sadly no. It’s pretty complete as is, I’d just like to do a graphical overhaul and add more journal prompts.
