I don't care what people or fans say, to me this is the greatest Disney parade of all time!! Nothing about dream lights can ever be topped, in fact it's a near perfect experience!!! 💜💜💜

This music and this parade…i wish they would being it back to Paris. My most happiest moments in life, when everyone were still alive and healthy.
I've heard that TDL doesn't retire floats when they are done with them. Maybe some of the older Dreamlights floats are in storage somewhere, but then of course look what happened when they gave you "Fantillusion!" 18 floats got exposed to the elements while being prepped for shipping to Paris.

Watched this live on 22 Dec 2022. The floats were so detailed and beautiful. This was the first Disney night parade I have ever watched live and I think it's better than the original MSEP which I watched on RUclips.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE that they make the crowd sit in Tokyo! Everyone gets a a fantastic view, it’s nice to sit, the parks even sell mats that people sit on. I get that big argument would be that less people can fit in the space but don’t they say quality of quantity. Can’t wait to go back.
for those wondering "which float is new?" the Train & Drum were updated. the last of the original floats from 2001 had it's last ride on June 29th, 2022. Also, the Sponsor float got a name change on April 1st from Unisys to the company's new name, Biprogy.
Yep, Unisys isn't *April Fooling* about their name being changed to Biprogy (pronounced bip-ROW-gee).

Holy Cow! The scale & the level of detail! The effects on Hook's Ship & Genie were amazing! THIS is what should have been the centerpiece of the 50th celebration. Everyone would be saying, "Disney is back!"
TDL has succeeded in keeping the heart and soul of the original MSEP while creating something new and awe inspiring.
Believe it or not, when the parade debuted in 2001, it was *ORIGINALLY* intended to be for *FLORIDA*
Aladdin and Jasmine's float, Cinderella's coach and horses float and Belle's float are awesome and the best. Disney magic at night, Nice One Disney Tokyo

I wish they'd bring this to Disney World, FL too. I think they need a nighttime parade again and this one is AMAZING!

Thank you WDNT!!! I know this was Tokyo but brought back a lot of memories hearing the music and when I was little boy watching this at WDW. Best thing they’ve had and it’s a shame they didn’t even bring it back for WDW 50th. They would’ve had me buying tickets just to see the “Main Street Electrical Parade”

So in the last 10 years they’ve basically gotten a brand new parade with almost every singe unit being replaced and upgraded to pixel mapping… impressive

@@sxymike12- Imagine if you tried to make these changes to M.S.E.P in the U.S. parks? The parade purists would not be happy, just like the blowback Disney received when they changed the finale float recently at Disneyland. Although, I still prefer the To Honor America float finale myself.

@@sxymike12 I don’t think it would fit in Magic kingdom, that turn outside of hall of presidents is just too sharp. If only Magic Kingdom made a ton of money and could afford to modify the parade route…

Every American who is notalgic for the Disney Land Main Street Parade needs to see this. This is one adaptation that did not take out from the core. Paint the night is the modern successor but I wish they went with this direction than the "small world float" when they wanted to replace American culture scenes.
I used to travel to wdw for vacations until I discovered I could enjoy the wonders of Japan and Tokyo Disney for the same price. They are the best parks, although paris is our nearest park.

Give it time, it will probably be shipped back to WDW when it finishes at Disneyland later this year.
It should be a WDW right now so they can both celebrate 50 years together
@@carson2025- I agree with you, but don't forget that M.S.E.P. started out originally at Disneyland in 1972. WDW got the M S.E P. for the first time in 1977, & would be celebrating its 45th birthday at WDW.

The experience is priceless but I really hope they bring the full cast and parade back soon. Really miss the fillers between the large floats. Even for the daytime parades.

It makes me to say it, I will gladly visit Tokyo disneyland alot to see the advanced floats. California and Florida doesn't seem to want to have new advanced floats because people in america want the old ones continously
The updated Main Street Parade was a disappointment. Updating the last segment to barely moving Small World animatronics wasn't really a blast... The TDL was soo much better with its update...
I'm pretty sure we can have those advanced floats. It's just not a priority unfortunately.

@@168bagua I think the originalists would have a heart attack. They spazzed out over that sole float replacement. They hate change. I’m all for it.
The floats, amazing. Cannot disagree. Like, blown away. But I miss having the little things between and off the floats (the movers and dancers). Like characters walking and little ball floats. Wonder why they didn’t incorporate that? It felt like a bunch of of discontent (amazing) floats instead of a cohesive parade.
Tokyo is still cutting down on almost all live performers and dancers due to Japan's strict COVID protocols. Once this parade is back in its glory of the non-COVID version, it'll have handful of dancers in between floats. Check out any other videos of the same parade from the pre-COVID era for your reference :)
With no remaining original floats, this is now a Parade of Theseus.
The US parks need to do a complete audit of foriegn parks and bring all the the best stuff state side

Imo Tokyo had it right by keeping the parade running. In Disneyland they keep taking it out and putting it back in.

This Could be the Updated Version of SpectroMagic for Walt Disney World.
I saw they replaced Unisys with Biprogy.
This parade could use more floats and units like a Little Mermaid one, a Lion King one, a Jungle Book one, etc.!
just have to wait & see what imagineers will conjure up next for Light Parade, because it could happen

Maybe the floats are on the boat back, or wait until Disneyland is done with it in a few months. You might see it soon enough. Maybe even a WDW version of Paint The Night❔

@@mindyschocolate you’re telling me! It really is amazing the differences not just at Disney but the entire country. To me it seems like they take more pride in the presentation of things, even the smallest of things. Even the 7-Eleven convenient stores are mind blowing. The items and foods and drinks etc. that they have at 7-Eleven put some of our restaurants in the US to shame. The food that is sold there at 7-Eleven is made fresh. If people are not aware of these convenient stores and what they are like in Japan or even what the vending machines are like they need to watch some RUclips videos. It will blow their mind. The vending machines in Japan are incredible. You can actually get good meals, even hot meals, out of vending machines. At Disney you can get fast service meals that have a theme to them. Not only is the food made to resemble the theme but it can also come with collectible plates and glasses. It’s just so different. Even things as simple as games like in an arcade are just on a whole other level. Convenience stores and other places will have games that are called a Kuji. These have different themes such as different Animes or Disney or Hello Kitty/Sanrio or Pokémon or different Bands/Groups etc. They look like so much fun and have amazing prizes, there’s a prize attached to every ticket. To me, it really is very different between things here and in Japan. Living in a great country like the United States I sometimes wonder why we don’t have some of those things here.
@@kathleensuhy1875 I see someone really appreciates the the country of Japan like I do and you’re right they really do seem to go above and beyond what’s necessary for the people that live there sometimes I wish America had gimmicky little things like Japan considering we are one Japan’s biggest allies.

We need this spectacular parade in WDW..tired of Festival of Fantasy, in it's reduced form...at least Halloween and Christmas parades are returning.
believe it or not, *THAT* is where this parade was *INTENDED* to go in 2001, but WDW opted to refurbish SpectroMagic instead
WDW has blown the 50th - nothing magical here - might as well stay home.

the Train & Drum is the new float. it replaced it's 21 year old Dreamlights original on July 1st.
