Amazing video as always bro, I love the fact you don't hesitate to say "this one is better than this other one" in your opinion and giving arguments, instead of other reviewers who just throw bullshit as "try both", "own both", "I can't choose for you", etc. I hope you to make a review of Tri I3 Pro and also watch headphone reviews such as HD 560S and Grado SR125X would be amazing. Btw keep it with the kpop recommendations haha.

I have the Spaceship and was about to hit buy on the Aria, when the KATO dropped. I put in a pre-order for the Kato, to get the free cable, but I'm doubting if I made the right decision. Kato or Aria? I'm still new to this. I bought the Tin T2 and Blon 03, as my start last year, and I like both sounds.
Currently the same. Own the Aria & Sparks.
Procrastinating between copper cable+Azla crystal fitting & E1DA PowerDac
Or just the Kato.
I miss a bit more soundstage on the Aria, although he compares it as the "best soundstage of all'
Aria's to me are not thaat booring, sadly a bit too shimmering, but good with the Mis-Tips (they come out large)
Wouldn't upgrade as Aria owner, but i got excited for sure

I have the Kanas Pro that came before the KXXS. It’s pretty good. Glad to see the formula evolve.
I have ordered a Dusk recently but it has yet to arrive but I am thinking on getting something else, cheaper, to walk around with and I was leading towards the Aria but now I wonder if the KATO would be a good choice as well.

I have the Moondrop Aria..and to beat it in my collection I went to the IKKO OH10’s..and my goodness what an amazing IEM🥲.
The Aria is incredibly relaxing and very approachable..the IKKO is the audiophiles IEM’s.

I'm definitely saving up for these. Was aiming for the Blessing 2 but thought that it might be too pricy for the kind of money I'm currently making so maybe next time.
Also, am I the only one who noticed that the outfit of the waifu in the packaging looks eerily similar to the outfit worn by another Kato? LOL

@wefwq10 don't buy the kato. Its bad value. B2 fully justifies its price. The kato is just a neutral tuned aria. Not worth 3x the price of an aria. Get an aria or an fh3 instead. FH3 is much better than starfields for me. Sounds refined and clear.

My humble oppinion is that up to 200 US $ IKKO model OH 10 is one of the best....only its cable is very modest...indeed.

Get the kato. The aria stock cable sucks and might as well go a little further then stop halfway

The Kato is basically a KXXS with better accessories, I see zero reason to buy a Kato if you own the KXXS or one of it's cheaper revisions.
Skipping on this one as I already own the Starfield. Hope you review the Falcon Pro, people say the bass on these is fantastic.
Bass on Falcon Pro is the best I've ever heard. The hype is real.
Falcon Pros seem more mid bass focused compared to the KXXS which have stronger sub bass, at least according to the FR graph. I suppose that might leave a stronger impression on bassheads but the danger as always is bloat and bleed.

I like the kxxs, but I like the Starfield better. I love the Ikko OH10. Like almost love the new Hana 2021. Love Mangird Tea. Love the Shozy 1.4 and 1.1. Thinking about the aria, or this one…hmmmmmmmm….why can’t I quit you, moondrop?
hello from Brazil. Thank you very much for this review, I have a blessing 2 and the starfiel and I was wondering about this upgrade if it was worth it. At home I end up using the blessing more, but because I go for a walk and go to work I end up using the Starfiel more for the use of the mask, because I have a small Pinna. I love my Starfied. I will stay with him, thanks again !!!
Hi Eduardo, I'm Brazilian. I'm interested in Kato, have you tested it? I listen to a lot of EDM, electronics and bass trap, I do not know if the kato will be enough.
@@Antonio-nn2kq for me it's the best of them, worth the upgrade, being just below Blessing 2 but I use Kato more than him for comfort.

I have the aria and FH3, and I must say, if you are used to the treble and bass energy from the FH3, the arias sound very boring in comparison. Cant say much about the Kato but they should be similar in profile
Downgrade. FH3's technical performance is on a different league. The subbass is something to die for. I own a starfield and a fh3. FH3 is easily a league or two above the starfields.

I don't think so. Reviews said they are on par with starfields and I don't see any difference between aria and starfield technically

@@kook7147 Yeah idk about that, the hana 2021s definitely will be better than the arias, you don't have to go all the way up to dusk. People compare the hana 2021s to the oxygen, and since the oxygen is pretty good, I highly doubt they sound too similar to be an upgrade from the arias.
@@kook7147 I own the Arias too, and was also thinking about getting the hana 2021s, I like the arias and all, but sometimes they get a bit tiring to wear, and the cable they came with is pretty trash. I also don't like the material, and prefer something more metallic and smooth, rather than painted.
I don't own a Moondrop product yet. So maybe I will get the Aria and save up for the Dusk later on.
If you don't own a Moondrop get the KATO.
isn't it ridiculous to have such big cables when the internal wires connecting the driver are 10x thinner ?
Looks great but very expensive for earbuds.
Thing about spending a lot on earbuds is the risk of damage or loss....unless you're just going to use them at home.
I wonder if they will sell the eartip separately, really interested in it.

I don't think it's worth me upgrading from the Starfields from the sound of it. Another case of I have 90% of the sound for 1/4 of the price. Do you think it would be worth buying the cable and eartips though? a slight upgrade for the Starfields might improve their comfort level.
I find the starfield to be a little more versatile since they game really well. The imaging is really good, especially with hrtf.

Hello, when you mentioned that Kato has more energy than the kxx, what does that mean? I am new to audio and I'm still trying to make sense of all the words. Good video!
Higher pitched things will sound louder is as simple as I can put it.
The upper range of female vocals will be more up front. Percussion like cymbals will be more up front. Higher guitar strings will have more presence. I can tell you from owning the KXXS in the past that the overall treble presentation was very light. The Starfield is a slight improvement. So if you don't own a Moondrop and are intrigued by how their tuning is described go for the KATO.
Only reason I see for Kato are Acc. and cable. Other than that is no reason to upgrade for me (even i interested in Starfield because of imaging and resolution is better than Aria? i dont know)

i have the same set and loving how laid back the aria is and use the starsea for more fun and energetic listen
@Eduard Piadozo sorry but i really can't pick one, because they sound really different, i use my aria for relaxed listening sessions, and i use my starsea for more engaging, fun and energetic listening sessions, i think it's up to you, which type of sound you prefer, if you prefer relaxed sound, Aria is really good, if you want engaging/more forward fun sound, Starsea is the way to go.
just recently upgraded from the aria to the B2: dusk. totally worth it

I have the Tin T2 plus, Blon BL03 & the KZ ZS10 Pro, falling for the hype train, I've ordered the 7hz Timeless and the KATO....will be arriving in a couple of days, How much of a sound quality jump can I realistically expect from these two compared to the dirt cheap ChiFi's that I already own? I use apple music Lossless on my Sony A105 and a Shanling M3X...
I also have blonBL03 and one thing I can say: yeah it's pretty drastic quality jump. There are so many details that you can hear more than in blon

Might be a ridiculous question but only regarding sound quality, how would Moondrop Blessing 2 compare with something like Sony Wf- 1000xm3 / xm4 ?
I've not tried the XM3 or 4 but if many reviewers can be trusted the blessing 2 is much better tuned.

There's is no comparison. Blessing 2 and xm3/4 are in completely different worlds. Sony's are made for convenience not sound quality. Blessing 2's will be are very big step up in overall sound quality, and you probably won't find your sony's enjoyable after a while.
@@maxb.simonsen2459 Perfect Thanks! Yea, They are mostly enjoyable for sound cancelling. I've only tired M50x and editing spoken word on them was way more accurate than the sony. Music too was a lot more accurate. So I don't know what to expect but based on what others are saying and what you just said that answers my question. Thanks!

Moondrops don't have better midbass than fh3. Bass on my starfield sound thinner than my fh3. FD5 would be the logical upgrade for bass. Rest are all sidegrades with different tuning
