How do I encourage my daughter to dress modestly?

Dear Mattsons, My daughter wants to wear clothes that are shorter and tighter than I am comfortable with. How do I encourage modesty but still allow her to dress trendy?-Sincerely, Modest & Trendy
The way we dress informs the world a little bit about you. We want to take shame and legalism out of the modesty discussion and make sure that we do not put the pressure of others' purity on our daughters. Instead join us as we discuss how to encourage our daughters to dress in a way that will highlight who they are and not put the focus on their body.

We have lots and lots of conversations now (8 and 5) so that later they will be in good habits and we will hopefully have fewer of these disagreements later.🤞 I also ask my girls if things are appropriate on me and listen if they have a concern. Like the day I tried to go to the grocery in yoga pants...🤦🏼‍♀️

By dressing her modestly to begin with. If you are worried about your daughter dressing “trendy” then you are in the world!

My daughter allows her kids age 14( girl) snd 9 yr boy to walk around the house in their underwear. Does modesty apply when at home with family?

My opinion, I apply at home to an extent...as a man I don't walk around my house without shirt and I don't allow my sons to walk around without shirt ...I always go to would you feel comfortable with your sister walking around in underwear?,again my opinion
