- A new Netflix series involving an experiment with the Pulaski County jail is creating a lot of conversation in Arkansas - but was the project even legal?

The mayor and the judge are all up in arms over a trailer. Let's see what happens during the documentary. The prison system is not getting any better. Its worth a try.
I just been binging the show and it is very interesting how quickly this unit went into a European model of managing their own unit and how all the different groups of inmates came together to set aside their differences to protect the shared freedom by settling things amongst themselves, it is actually very bold and daring of this sherrif to try and prove the success of giving accountability AND freedom plus giving back humanity to felons. These people actually did very well and showed WHY EUROPEAN JAIL IS SO MUCH MORE SUCCESFUL. But sadly, Private Prison is an INDUSTRY in America, and the model they used looks too much like a SOCIAL structure, which in alot of American ears sounds like a gateway into communism.. So this sherrif will probably have his project shot down in a quick minute because its fucking with the profits of the prison industry - and things will go back to shit despite this Sherrif's (and the inmates of Unit H) demonstration of how things can be done better This sherrif successfully showed the results of a prison reform experiment that has not only impacted the inmates but can literally benefit an entire community by lowering repeat and return offenders and actually use jailtime to rehabilitate or otherwise help inmates who are locked up.
The fact that this experiment is so succesfull and the legal smackdown on it shows the corruption and criminality of the American prison industry at its core.
Say you don’t have the budget for guards without saying it 😂

Well said !!
Shows how much attention he was paying 😂
What does the Governor think?
She’s too busy wasting taxpayer money
So the judge says there is a lot of good happening in Pulaski county but freaks out about all that “good” being recorded
Look I'm a prison abolitionist. Pulaski county jail is terrible. One of the worst ran regional facilities in the country honestly. I want to know whether or not this experiment may have things on film that the um political establishment of Arkansas don't want out. I'm curious where this goes. Regardless the PC regional facility is horrible.
Tucker max is way worse than
So you would have let Ronald Gene Simmons walk?
1. What exactly is a prison abolitionist?
2. What should be done to people who commit crimes?
3. If you feel the prison system should be restructured, what would that look like for offenders like:
a. Serial killers and murders?
b. Rapists and child molesters?
c. Armed robbers and other violent offenders?
d. Chronic repeat offenders?
4. Does this mean you don't support the death penalty?
5. If you are proposing alternative therapies, how would you pay for it without a sheriff?
6. The sheriff is responsible for raising large parts of a county's budget by estimating and managing crime. As an abolitionist, how would you make up that large part of those cities' budgets.
6a. How would you pay for police to secure the county?
6b. How would you pay for other city services like fire fighters, 911, ambulance services and stuff like that?
Thank you for answering if you choose? I've never heard of a prison abolitionist. It sounds interesting.
@@Traewing don’t talk common sense to idiots 😂
I have worked in corrections for 16 years. I think people have to consider the fact this is a jail, not a prison. It’s a very different population from what prisons have. Plus it was an experiment. It seemed like it was positive but obviously a few bumps. I think they should have tried it with an officer in the unit with the inmates to help keep structure and redirect inmates that were acting out. Other than that, it was still quite successful actually. Food for thought.
Great experiment how it’s a success
But he pocketed more money from the imates
Sheriffs are responsible for raising money for the county based on estimated crimes. And must meet their quotas. This money does not go to the sheriff, it goes towards the county budget. There also had to be some compensation to everyone filmed. So, they probably got a commissary budget or funding for jail services that will serve the prisoners, like education, drug classes, or something.
He made phone calls free
This sh*t is not an experiment, it's a scripted joke.😂
Hi! I’m glad to see another smart person here!
