Hey everyone! I hope you enjoyed this video of me showing you how to setup, connect and play your Playstation Portal outdoors using your mobile hotspot. If you have any other questions about this router let me know in the comments below 🫡 Thanks for watching!
Thanks so much for making these videos. I am planning on using this router on road trips, tethered to my phone, for my Portal. How do you think it will perform in a moving car?
This router has faster data bandwidth since it has a USB 3.0 port & supports wifi 6 speeds. It also comes with a micro SD card slot for media hosting ect.. My iPhone 16 pro max works wonders with this one! If you want to know more about the opal router check the description 🫡🔥🎮 hope this helps!
Great question! Wish it was that easy. Since the launch of the Portal connecting carriers mobile phones hotshots have been major issue due to NAT types. This will help bypass that so you can game wherever you go no matter the internet speeds (as long it's reasonable). Hope this helps 🫡🔥🎮
It'd be great if the portal was streaming from the cloud. Due to CGNAT, there is no port forwarding. The console you connect to is essentially a server. The games are streamed to your portal so you need a steady connection & the router helps with the limitations you get from using cellular.
@TechMarkGaming Got It, I have no problems with my T-mobile hotspot so I guess I'm good. But damn I only have 5gb to use and the portal Is a damn data hog! 😅

What's the reason for a separate router when you can just connect directly to your phones hotspot?
Ya why you need a router? We can just hotspot to the phone.
