As I listen to you this morning, I am preparing my little crockpot slow cooker with polish sausage, home canned saurkraut, and diced apple to cook for dinner. Yesterday, I was nicely suprised to find polish sausage for regular $5.99 on clearance and not expired at $2.27. I was in the store for something else when I found this sale. Keep your eyes open everyone!
Oh my! That is a truckload of meat in the freezer....then the new stuff added! I never keep that much meat on hand. I do, however, like to keep a lot of canned fish. I think I eat more beans, lentils, pastas and such. I also make a lot of homemade soups and chilis...I freeze meal portions, so I usually just warm up food...I only cook about 2x per week. I do love it when I have guests for a meal. Two weeks ago I cooked a small turkey (12 lbs)...4 of us had dinner, 3 guests each took home a meal and then I had turkey sandwiches for a few days. The last meat on the carcass went into a huge pot of soup, along with the leftover vegs. All of that for a $17 bird and a bit of effort!
You did wonderfully at the store. Every once in a while I come across markdowns like that and I restock the freezer. What a true blessing! And like you I have sat in my car and said a prayer of thanks before driving home too. 🙏 😊
What a blessing!! I wish we had ALDI where I live. I love that you gave a prayer of gratitude. I also love what you had to tell your children and grandchildren! lol AMEN! no wasting good food!
Robin, so happy for your grocery haul! You prove that even in this awful economy you can keep within your budget and eat very well! Giving thanks to God for His keeping you well!
Very good stock pile. My husband and I also stock pile groceries. You never know what is around the corner so it’s good to keep extra. I learned to can back in 2012. I really need to can some meats. I also buy long shelf life food. The 25 year food. I found out that most of those companies sell dented containers at a discount. It’s how I got my stock pile I. Long shelf life started. Very important with your haul ! Great job ! Love Aldi ! I will share your videos with my mother and my daughter. Appreciate you sharing. And yes you are blessed. ❤
You’re really helping me rethink budgeting. I’ve just recently discovered you, and am kinda binge watching… (retired, social security, pension… and adult son living in my lower level.). I know I spend too much money on fast food and occasionally eating out with friends, but… I’m intrigued by taking out cash to buy groceries (I do pay off credit cards every month)…
Good morning, you got some really good deals and quite a bit for your money. At thanksgiving I was given a $10.00 certificate for meat by our property owners so I picked up a turkey breast and bought an extra one - both are in my freezer for now. About 14 lbs. of meat for $7.00.
Really enjoying the grocery hauls. As I watched your backlist, I saw some household supplies hauls. Looks like you haven't done one in awhile. Would be interesting to see one again TFS
They have redid the Aldi’s around me and have made the refrigerator sections of the products very small. For instance their tubbed lunch meat use to take up like 5 feet, now about 3 feet. Maybe they are rearranging your store too. Our stores are so busy it’s very rare to find meat marked down. You found great deals! 🥰
Great grocery haul Robin! I love the 50% off. Our store has them as well, but I have to be aware and use them the day I take them out of the freezer. Great prices for foods that the stores want to sell before they expire. I put them right in the freezer! Have a great day! 😊
Just started watching your video, I am a senior living alone 87 now, some days are struggle, but I always depend on the Lord to get me through, sounds like you are Christian as well, hope so, hope your new year is blessed
You have the nicest personality! It's really interesting seeing what folks in different areas of the United States are paying for food items. We live in the California Sierras between Yosemite National Park and Lake Tahoe and regular gas finally is down to $4.35 a gallon!🙂
I've asked ....when my Aldi has bare shelves. They always say the truck didn't come in on time. I tend to believe that because a few days later , everything is in supply. AND Christmas stuff is turning over fast this year!
Nice find! Here to buy a ham for my children's holidays is over 200.00 dollars. Be thankful. I wish I could send pictures of the prices of meat to you all.
i think you did an amazing job. i live alone also and on a fixed income, i know its difficult to cook for one person, Today i put a roast carrots and potatoes in the crockpot and going to see what all i can make for this week with it
Great haul. You found some really good buys. I think I would use some of the meat from the freezer first so there is not anymore “freezer burn” and then the more recent purchases.
Great job Robin‼️👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 YOU ARE AWESOME ‼️YES YOU ARE. In more ways than one. Keep having fun and enjoying life. God really loves you. This I know.♥️🏡☕️🎯👌⛪️
Great job!!!! Thank you for giving glory to The Provider! But also, thank you for encouraging us to “get out there”! Would you mind sharing more details on how you feed your dog? I’m guessing you’re not buying kibble. Is this for budget reasons or dog health or both? Thanks!!!! Love watching!!!
Canning meat for the first time ever this year. I'm canning b/c of the good deals and limited freezer space. Now I'm looking at the jars of pork and turkey, scratching my head on how to use. Pork I can put BBQ sauce on but what about the turkey? Maybe silly questions but I didn't use much store bought canned meat before. Thoughts and ideas anyone? Love your videos Robin! Stay warm!
They do that pull-down thing in the meat case at our Aldi when the cooler malfunctions and they're waiting for it to be repaired. Big issue this summer, and it took a few weeks. Also, sometimes they don't get a certain product from the warehouse and/or a case is expired or bad, so they can't stock it. Bigger grocery stores have more inventory and cooler solutions to compensate; Aldi is smaller and less flexible when something goes wrong.
I don’t know where you live but here in Oklahoma, our Aldi doesn’t have the variety others report from their area. I have never found meat marked down at Aldi. I would be so excited too.
I'm getting inspired to try getting creative again. I tend to eat what's easiest, and haven't been cooking any more than absolutely necessary. Maybe I will change my ways, and take pleasure in cooking again. Thanks for posting!
I've heard that Aldi does the restock , mark downs early Wednesday mornings. I'm making an Aldi run today, I hope they have some good deals. What a blessing!.
How long do you expect to go before buying more meat? YOu already had a lot before this Aldi trip. Good job on finding the deals! I am an Aldi's regular also, but I never see half price meat. But then I live in an apartment with a small freezer, so I don't buy much at a time.
Nice to find a super deal like that. We dont eat much chicken - cook it for husband but i dont care for it hot. I will sometimes eat cold because there were no other leftovers to eat. Ground beef i eat most times. Hubby is a big meat eater i am not much for meat. Btb - great buy for you. I did drool over your cans of pink fish. Try to have that once a week.
Children! Please, please don't throw out food. Even if a canned good says it was "best use by" 3 years ago, it is still good with maybe the exception being tomatoes. Notice "expired" dates are no longer used for a reason. Yes, rotation, rotation. If you do find older foods, put them front and center on your counter (or one corner of the freezer) to use immediately before touching anything else. No excuses. Use it now. Maybe you and a friend could exchange. Looks like a lot of people pass along canned salmon! So what if you don't like it, food is costly so try a new recipe. Don't like that can of plain sauerkraut - rinse it and dump it in a dark chocolate cake mix. You don't care for the taste of store bought canned chicken - drain the liquid into the pets' bowl with some water to thin out the salt and then make chicken patties with seasoning to take away the canned taste. You bought icky pumpkin pie mix that is too spicy - make 2-3 quick sweet breads to lessen the spice and add raisins in one loaf or choc chips in another and freeze the extra. If you have a dozen cans of beets (many other foods, too) that need eaten now, run the gambit. BTW, drain the liquid and freeze to use later. Beets can be turned into a variety of salads, added to a cake/cookies/sweet bread or try roasting the chunks in the oven or processed smooth for a dip, a souffle, ice cream, yogurt or cheesecake. Ok, so your last can of beets and all that beet liquid you saved will make a nice pot of bortsch soup. Oops, the saved liquid was too much so freeze it in ice cube trays for smoothies or use it in making pink tortillas or pink crepes or pink whatever for Valentine's Day or a ladies' luncheon to support breast cancer research. With the idea of nothing goes to waste, hope you're saving all food liquids rather than literally pouring money down the drain. Just think twice before tossing anything in the trash or disposal. Fruit liquids can be added to tea or other juice or heated to thicken into a fruit topping or stirred into ice cream or pudding or used in baking. Veg liquids is free stock or use as a sub for milk in gravy (sure it'll be different). Freeze corn cobs to later boil for the liquid to make jelly that tastes like honey. Freeze the fresh raw stems off hot or bell peppers to use as "starter" for cheap homemade yogurt. Boil bones for stock and freeze or home can. Stocks boost nutrition when used as the cooking water for rice and pasta. Last week, we had dried split pea soup with frozen pea liquid and a frozen ham bone which had enough meat still on it. You'll never have to buy stock/broth again. Do a search for using eggs shells as human calcium supplement, plant grocery veg seeds in the garden or grow a kitchen garbage garden on the window sill. Plant sad looking garlic or ginger in a container or at least freeze it so it's easy to toss in a dish. Toss a piece of frozen sliced ginger into a cup of water, add a splash of lemon/lime juice and honey and nuke for a nice hot healthy drink. Plant sprouted onions and potatoes out the back door if you don't have or not able to have a garden as every little bit helps. Ask a friend for a start of their herbs to grow in the kitchen window as fresh herbs makes you feel like a king perking up any dish. Run that hard cabbage core through the processor instead of tossing it in the trash. The nicer paper dry onion skins can be run through the blender into little bits to add to a chunky dish (maybe you can get them to the powder stage, I can't). Leftover pickle liquid can be subbed when you're out of pickles in potato salad or pour a cup or two in a crockpot pork roast (don't salt until later) or used to make refrigerator pickles or as a last resort use as the vinegar with salt/baking soda as a drain cleaner. Definitely make your own vanilla extract to save a boatload of $$$ and have plenty to give out next Christmas (recycle little glass condiment bottles like soy sauce or hot sauce).
I'm a big meat eater, not sure how much you consume but even so, you have well over a month's worth of protein stored. That would make me feel great. And the grocery meat haul! Amazing. :)
Great deals!! I bought one pack of chicken breast $1.99 lb. 5 lbs total, 6 chicken breast Made 6 meals for my husband and I: Orange chicken & rice, sausage okra gumbo, rice and baked sweet potatoes, Bbq chicken pizza, 🍕 chicken nuggets and green beans with potatoes and 5 small slices of smoked sausage to season green beans, Chicken taco soup, oven Garlic butter chicken breast with fresh mashed potatoes and fresh broccoli 🥦 One chicken breast was plenty for each meal.

I'm very glad you have a good supply of food to take care of yourself for a long time. It brings such a peaceful state of mind to have that security. I have a question about how you get fresh produce if you spend your budget on meat? Do you have left overs from the week before or just use frozen/ canned. Where I live we just have a Fry's and a Safeway. I sure wish we had an Aldi or other discount store. I'm glad to have found your channel and you. Have a very wonderful day.
To get special deals at Aldi is it good to get there as soon as they open? I’ve never seen these sakes, but you’re not the only RUclips person who’s gotten good deals 🙂
Incredible haul! Per the empty spaces, it might be because of the snow storms on the East Coast? Delivery trucks might be delayed. Just a guess though.
Actually, the ALDI that I shop at looked very similar - so many empty shelves. I attributed it to maybe shopping aftr Thanksgiving? IDK. But I'd never seen it that way before.
Does your Aldi store actually accept paper money? Ours around here they are all going digital so if anyone has cash saved cash is going to be no longer a thing so if you have cash better get it digital as soon as you can.
I noticed you have some canned meat with pink lids. I have tried canning with plastic lids and rubber gaskets. This year I had about 50% failure using these. Any suggestions?
I just keep it in the bin in the fridge. I don’t over buy and try to eat some each day. I’m not sure how to make it last. I think it depends on the quality of the fruit.
Are they 50% off because they're approaching their sell-by date? I don't know why that concerns people because most of you are just going to take it home and throw it in the freezer so it's perfectly fine to buy things that expire on that day or the next day
It's so nice to hear you openly thank God for your blessings. Gratitude makes what you have enough.
Amen! 🙏
As I listen to you this morning, I am preparing my little crockpot slow cooker with polish sausage, home canned saurkraut, and diced apple to cook for dinner. I would of spent all of 25.00 on that

Amazing find on the 50% off meats. Glad you got them. 🎉 Definitely worth going over budget to pick them up.
That freezer inventory is great!!!! You are getting bang for your buck! Definitely a blessing.
Thank you! I agree!
You did wonderfully at the store. Every once in a while I come across markdowns like that and I restock the freezer. What a true blessing! And like you I have sat in my car and said a prayer of thanks before driving home too. 🙏 😊

Thank you Linda! I find using cash is helpful.
It’s so cold where I live. I love making beef stew, chili and my favorite vegetable soup.
Those all sound delicious! Thank you Margaret!
I think you did amazing with your $25.00 plus eggs.
Thank you! I felt pretty good about it too.

Great meat deals!! It’s worth going early in the morning.
I like your different assortment of meat in your freezer and canned meats.
You'll have a good choice when deciding what to make.
I agree! It’s always nice to have options. 😊
You have the nicest personality! It's really interesting seeing what folks in different areas of the United States are paying for food items.

Very impressive! Good for you!

You are so welcome!
All of That was a great find👍🏻👍🏻🙏
Wonderful food haul!! What a blessing!😊
Thank you! I feel so blessed too!
You have a very good supply of protein. I fear the empty shelves may be a sign of the times ahead. You did excellent for the haul!
Great haul. You found some really good buys. I think I would use some of the meat from the freezer first so there is not anymore “freezer burn” and then the more recent purchases.
You have a nice stash with a good variety!
Thank you!
Awesome job!
Thank you!
Great job Robin‼️👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
YOU ARE AWESOME ‼️YES YOU ARE. In more ways than one. Keep having fun and enjoying life. God really loves you. This I know.♥️🏡☕️🎯👌⛪️
Aw, thank you! That’s very kind of you to say.
A prayer of thanks, that’s the way…😀
Amen to that! 🙏
Thank you! Amen! I will give it some thought regarding my little dog.
You have alot of food.😊
Its amazing too what meals you can make with one chicken breasts especially sweet n sour chicken
Stay warm!
I use the pork in soups, casseroles, tacos, bbq as well. You can make a pork pot pie. Pork & gravy on mashed potatoes is delicious.
..turkey; I love me to have turkey salad, turkey macaroni salad with frozen peas, grilled turkey sandwich with sweet onion between Best from Jill
You really were Blessed! 👵🏻
I feel the same way.
I am in Iowa Cindy. I rarely find it at Aldi either. It’s never happened to me before.
@ I do love Aldi.
I'm getting inspired to try getting creative again. I tend to eat what's easiest, and haven't been cooking any more than absolutely necessary. Maybe I will change my ways, and take pleasure in cooking again. Thanks for posting!
So glad to hear that, thanks for sharing! it’s worth a try.
Wonderful😊 good job lots of goodies for the winter
I've heard that Aldi does the restock , mark downs early Wednesday mornings. I'm making an Aldi run today, I hope they have some good deals. What a blessing!.
I hope so too!
Hey Robin, I take cash to
That's a good way to budget.😊 I shop reduce meat area to.😊 I make meatloaf in muffin tins. Individual meatloaf are great 😊
I just make meatloaf recipe and instead of putting in loaf pan I just make mine into meatballs. Lol.
I do too! It is a good way to stay on budget.
Great idea thanks
You are set up pretty well with meat, you're the Queen at stretching a little protein across several day's meals. We are kindred spirits this way! 😊👸🏼
Thank you so much! 😊
Love you Robin ❤ your my hero
Awe…you’re too kind.
You did so amazing this haul!! So excited for you! Well done!
Thank you Tracy!
Learning many tips from you! I haven’t been the best at looking for meat on sale… but I am now!! 😄
You've got this! Thank you Stacy!
I think you have a good supply for just one person. And your shopping trip was such a great bargain! God heard and answered your prayers.
Nice haul!! SCORE!!
Thank you! It was a good one!
I think you already have a nice variety of meats, just need to add to the quantity. I am getting back into canning so I can shop sales and can.
Great job!
That's an awesome haul of protein for you!!
Thank you!
You gave me such a great idea. Not to buy everything all at once. Thank you. I'm an Aldi fan it's all I buy. ❤
I should say you were blessed this morning 🙏
I felt blessed too!
God bless you. ❤
And you as well Becky!
Congratulations on your meat purchases. I look forward to your videos.
Thank you! I appreciate that.
Great video…inspirational…thank you…older small RUclipsr here…just subscribed

How long do you expect to go before buying more meat? YOu already had a lot before this Aldi trip. Good job on finding the deals! I am an Aldi's regular also, but I never see half price meat. But then I live in an apartment with a small freezer, so I don't buy much at a time.
Cathy, I should be ok for the month unless I come across a great deal. I intend to use my budget for pantry items this month. Thanks for asking.

Thanks for the question Heidi! I have lettuce, cucumber, celery, apples & mandarins left from previous shops. I’m glad you are here.
To get special deals at Aldi is it good to get there as soon as they open? I’ve never seen these sakes, but you’re not the only RUclips person who’s gotten good deals 🙂
*sales
Id say theyre either restetting those coolers or the completely empty one is broken and the other just is low on stock.
Incredible haul!
Per the empty spaces, it might be because of the snow storms on the East Coast? Delivery trucks might be delayed. Just a guess though.
Yes, you may be right!
Actually, the ALDI that I shop at looked very similar - so many empty shelves. I attributed it to maybe shopping aftr Thanksgiving? IDK. But I'd never seen it that way before.
Thanks Felicia!
Great haul.
I do the same thing.
What day did you go to Aldi and find these Markdowns? I noticed the salebdate was December 4.
I went Tuesday the 3rd.
Does your Aldi store actually accept paper money? Ours around here they are all going digital so if anyone has cash saved cash is going to be no longer a thing so if you have cash better get it digital as soon as you can.
Yes they do.
Beautiful shopping today. Budgets are never easy and takes lots of planning. You're blessed ❤
Thanks so much!
I love chicken livers but have never tried gizzards. What do they taste like?
They just taste meaty. They can be tough so require more cooking time…for me anyway.
I noticed you have some canned meat with pink lids. I have tried canning with plastic lids and rubber gaskets. This year I had about 50% failure using these. Any suggestions?
I purchased the Tattler lids a few years ago. The failure rate was high. I never purchased them again. I use them only as a last resort.
We’re noting, the chicken breasts are Not Rib Meat. (A new marketing game we’ve noticed in the last couple years)
Ty ❤
Nice Channel
Thank you so much!
How can I make fruit last longer ?
I just keep it in the bin in the fridge. I don’t over buy and try to eat some each day. I’m not sure how to make it last. I think it depends on the quality of the fruit.
Are they 50% off because they're approaching their sell-by date? I don't know why that concerns people because most of you are just going to take it home and throw it in the freezer so it's perfectly fine to buy things that expire on that day or the next day
You are correct Susan. That is the reason for the reduction.
For as much as I want to buy up all the markdown meat, I leave some for others so they can feed their families as well,
i went to aldis yesterday and same thing... the entire frozen section was empty. lights off in the freezers. What is going on?
That’s odd.
Sounds like your children have let you know what they think, lol.
