Thanks, Raj! I’m a firm believer that seriously-good advice does NOT need to be delivered in a seriously-boring way 😊

    Hello Maria,
Thank you for going so in depth on MBA applications and school selection. I am a non-traditional student having left college to work full time before recently returning. I have never worked for a top firm and I'm afraid that it will hinder my application success. I love Finance and graduated with a 4.0 GPA from snhu but can't seem to get a job in the field. Do you have any recommendations?

Hey there - hmm, this is a tricky situation, since work experience (not simply having it, but excelling in it) is the primary thing that MBA programs (well, the top ones at least) use to judge candidates.
I’m guessing that, when you’ve reached out to SNHU’s career services office, their response has been…crickets?
Maybe the answer is to broaden your job search? I’m not sure what you’ve been targeting up until now, but maybe there *are* more opportunities across a broader swath of potential employers / roles?
While you’re job hunting, is there a non-profit or a startup that you could volunteer to help with their finances? I know the “volunteer” part isn’t ideal, but it might be a way to get *some* sort of tangible experience on your resume, that might help you get your foot in the door elsewhere?
