I understand that Bob Munden had a difficult draw style (twisting) than what we see here, but the fact was he was super fast and accurate, being able to hit multiple targets in what "seemed" like one shot.
Bob Made the remark that he could not shoot in this style a competition. It was so embarrassing to him the way they were laying backwards trying a shoot
It looks sooo silly, the guy who lost his balance, because he was going for horizontal, might just as well fire thru the holster. I thought I'd landed on a novelty limbo dancing competetion 😂
Bob is a legend, a great guy and unbelievable shot. He would shoot aspirin out of the air like it 2as easy. I can't hit the broad side of a barn with my pistols.
Call me old fashioned but i do not like the leaning back to add a shorter angle at the draw but i guess thats a good trick for fast shooting from the hip
I agree, I think it kills the sport, and the look, and having those bucket style holsters that barely holds the weapon isnt my favorite either. I think if you remove all those advantages most will shoot slower and have to add lots of practice time to be good.
The legend is no longer with us and no one will ever reach the level he has reached with a quick draw or accuracy or just playing out pure insanity with a six shooter he is to a six shooter what the Sun and Moon are to the Earth there might be people out there that are pretty good at quick shooting and all that but I had to write this before the video even started unless Bob London's in here there's no world's fastest unless they're going by because he's no longer with us but he still has records so that would technically still make him the world's fastest and those records I'm sure will never be touched he can do things with a six shooter that are beyond human I have to defend him every time I see something like this because he is was and always will be the baddest six slinger that ever walk this planet
I actually beat Cal in 1980 in the first stage but he smoked me after that. Bob Munden was such a laugh to have at a match. Ever try the "Wild Bunch" match with 1911's?
These guys or starting with the gun in the hand almost aimed already idk … seems like this be a better sport they had to have there hand touching there hat before the light went off. This would all be who had the lowest cut holster made with a cant to it to get the barrel out the holster the fastest . Kinda cheesy.
I was really into fast draw at 14 years old . Many years ago . We did it then with a hand out front of the holstered weapon . One had to pull the hand back and cock the weapon with the thumb and pull the weapon out . That's the way we saw it in western movies . I also became a good hip shooter . That served me very well in the war in the 60"s . I was able to shoot a 1911 from a hip draw .
Just a flat out made-up sport! Absolutely no one sits in a rocking chair prepared to shoot! I enjoy quick draw and practice, with REAL/LIVE AMMO.... But, there was never any staging back in the day! Duels were made equal, but they didn't look like dipsticks while getting the quickest fire off!
It makes sense as to why they would use wax bullets instead of real ones. A friend of my Dad's had tried to quick draw with revolvers, but instead, he ended up shooting himself in the leg, and the bullet is still lodged inside him because surgery would've crippled him had he decided to get it removed.
Wyatt Earp why the hell haven't I heard Bob munden's name yet and I will give it where it's needed there's a couple pretty quick dudes in here but not going to be a broken record huge shoes need filled must be nice to have somewhere to be able to practice this I wonder what caliber they're using I'm sure the kids have the 22s I need to move out of my state when my daughter's done school they had something like this in my state it would get robbed somehow overwhelmed everybody would be attempted armed robbery victims and the stupid ass people that trying to rob them for their guns and stuff Don't realize it's a f****** quick draw contest lol terrible
a real quick draw should be done with the hand off the gun before the draw. each generation has changed the rules till the guns are all but already cocked and aimed. that's next I guess. not impressed at all.

Oregon ranger got lucky as shit.. I’m not impressed. He had the slower times and the sun was beating on those lights I can see why master gunslinger literally did even move. I would’ve ran that round back. That’s some bullshit. Bet that kid didnt win the following year
Have missed Shooting USA since the cable provider here in North Central Texas dropped the outdoor channel. Nice to find it finally on youtube.
Love watching Cisco. Oregon Ranger, amazing shooter.
Not handshakes but hugs! Love it!

I saw him do exactly that at a demonstration when I was young... What an amazing man he was.

His “speed of light” comment said it all. Quite an amazing showman

Fast draw and combat skills, keep me in the game.
There are other Clubs in other Nations, in our Association. So YES World Champion!
I seen Bob and he was fast as I seen it. He shot 2x and it sounded like one shot

Check out the Henry .357 revolver.
So much fun :o) Love it.

So much fun to see those kinds of friendships being formed!
Good to see Cisco

I would love to see a movie made about cowboys in the 1800's wearing sunglasses and using cellphones and laptops😂.
Look up Bill Mundin. Fastest man EVER!!!!!
Believe you mean Bob Munden.

I'm hoping to enter the women's division comps right after I re-identify my gender.
How fast was Bob Munden?

Sure you can dude but can you do it when you're awake.? 😂
lol "faster than the buzzer goes off on a microwave" ?
Did ya come up with that all by yourself or did ya have other dorks help ya
Personally not a fan of the hands-on, leaning stance - not the right way to do it.
What do you win when you win the World's championship
My alis is the kitchen kid and there's a story mainly because of my location

@Nick Petropoulos... didn't you see the guy from Switzerland in competition?
There are other countries outside of the USA that allow citizen firearm ownership. Educate yourself.
